★★★★★ I was invited there for lunch today. The food is excellent. The chicken korma, chicken curry, biriani, chicken tika, and lamb were all great. The restroom was clean with soap and paper towel, as well as the dining area. It's right of the freeway with easy access. The only negative was the Indian videos on while eating. The food so good no need for it guys. Just get rid of it and keep cooking!!! Posted on April 22, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ I eat here a lot -- the food is good, but a bit pricey. The service is average, but they take a long time to cook the food, so plan to spend a bit of time when it gets busy (lunch time). Excellent Chicken Korma and Biryani only on Fri/Sat/Sun. Posted on January 18, 2006 |

★☆☆☆☆ The owners are non-muslims. We tried their food on Eid last year and it almost ruined our holiday. I would not recommend this place to any practicing muslims or food lovers. Posted on November 11, 2005 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place is whack! The owners lied to me. They said they were open and when i showed up minutes later they said the kitchen is closed. I saw some alcohol drinkers there too! This is no way to run a business (especially if you are new!)
I will never go there again. Bad vibes and horrible customer service! Posted on March 31, 2005 |

★★★★☆ Owners of the restaurant are non-muslims from India and prefer to eat Halaal meat at home and they do use Halaal meat at the Cafe. I have personally confirmed the meat purchase at a known halal meat store in Fremont. Posted on February 14, 2005 |

★☆☆☆☆ Horrible restaurant! My family and I drove almost 30 minutes to go to this restaurant - we called ahead to make sure they were open. I was assured they closed at 830pm - we arrived a little before 8pm. Upon entering we were told to place our order with the cashier - then after a few whispers between the owner and cashier - we were told they closed the kitchen and that we had to leave! Other couples were in the restaurant - drinking ALCOHOL - perhaps this is why we were sent away because we weren't going to drink! Do not go to this restaurant. A word of advice to the owners - serving Alcohol and Halal food is an oxymoron - rethink your business plan - if you fear Allah SWT. Posted on January 3, 2005 |

★★★★★ Tabla is a very reasonably priced cafe with excellent food, one of the best i've had in this area. The only complaint I have is that the very first time i ate there i had an order to go and it took me about 45 to an hour to get one dish but that was only a couple of days after they opened. Lately they haven't been taking that long but still not great. Overall i love the food at Tabla and i would go there all the time and also recomend it to others! Oh and also i like it when you could get the naan and rice with the dish and now it's on or the other!! :( Posted on December 17, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ We stopped there last friday to pick up a few sandwitches for kids. The prices are on the high side. With 2 Biryanis, and 3 sandwitches we paid close to $40. Whoa!
It's hard to tell if it's a Halal restaurant, cuz only the owner standing there assured us to that. On all other counts it looked like an Indian restaurant trying to sell Bollywood on the TV with some food. Posted on December 1, 2004 |
