★☆☆☆☆ I visited Orlando early March this year with family. Habibi's was right across the Holiday Inn Express we stayed at. We walked in there for lunch one afternoon. The service was poor. We ordered Arayes (meat in pita), Mousaka and Haloum. The Arayes was half cooked and the Mousaka had glass bits in it that I had crunched on while eating! I reported it to the person in charge who quickly reported it to the manager who disappeared. 5 mins later I saw the manager leave in his car. The person in charge came back apologized and advised he had taken the Mousaka dish off my bill!! It was expensive and very small portions. Be cautious when visiting the Lake Buena Vista location at 8607 Palm Parkway. Posted on April 11, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I was a fairly regular customer, and i normally order always the same one or two things..the problem this go around was getting HOSED on the amount of meat, before this, the portions were consistent and fair for the price..NOT THIS TIME..i felt like i got ripped off!!!!..i won't be going back anymore!!!..i take food seriously, and there's no excuse, for the staff to not know by now, what the portion size ought to be, totally INCONSISTENT, if you go to an american chain place, you get consistent portions each and every time..this place, is either satisfying customers or giving them what amounts to a kids meal..i'm hungry, dissapointed, and this is not fair to me as a FORMER regular customer. ★★★★☆ A small bit nice place to have grills and Mediterranean food. I enjoyed the kebab combination plate. The only thing I did not like is that they bring a tiny garlic sauce and tahini sauce in the same plate with the meat and rice which is not enough for one skewer. I tried the tabbouleh and it had too much lemon juice and almost no oil and no tomatoes!
Another thing I did not like is the two guys hanging and wondering around in the restaurant as if they owned the place but in fact they do not - I found this a bit disturbing and distracting. They did not order anything and were moving around in and out of the restaurant while talking on the phone and distracting the waiters.
Overall and compared to other restaurants I visited in the area, this was one of the best ones so far. Even though it is a bit expensive it offers good value for money. Posted on May 28, 2012 |

★★★★★ ....not sure if the previous post is warrented because i specifically overheard a meat order being placed over the phone and i heard the employee specifically state halal request and saw the owner doublecheck with the employee on the phone he did indeed ask for halal meat and lol.the owner even said "always make sure it's halal..these guys make a big deal out of it".lol...so i'm pretty confident it is halal..if you ask for the kofta kebab sandwhich it is freshly made by hand in front of your eyes, so i always enjoyed it and the veggie platter is great too!..a great place overall.
