★★★★★ I was looking to eat at a nearby Halal restaurant. Specifically Halal Chinese. I can honestly say that I have never ate such delicious, mouth watering halal Chinese anywhere in my life. If you go to Orlando and you do not try this out.... Forget it! You missed out pal. It is hot, fresh and super tasty. I come from a line of family dining in Georgia and this was such a great experience for the whole family. The owner was super nice. He took us in for dinner right before closing and brought us our food fresh, hot with crispy naans on the side. Even though everything was great, we liked the Seekh Kabab and Beef Pepper Steak the best! I am craving this now. lol Posted on December 14, 2018 |

★★☆☆☆ terrible execution on the food presentation. appearance as if amateur cook was attempting to cook on the fly. i was somewhat embarrassed to have brought with me company. my colleague ordered based on a picture on the menu, what came out of the kitchen was a pathetic looking attempt. also, the portion was not proportionate to the charges and price. we felt hungry so placed order for additional food. it was lackluster as was the other meat dishes.i would not return until i hear more positive feedback from actual customers and not spam accounts. ★★★★★ Snow storm derailed us from making it to our final destination so we were stuck in Orlando and craving Indian. We lucked out! The restaurant had a few tables full so we were seated right away. The service was attentive, helpful, friendly and quick! We started with Spicy Chicken Wings for an appetizer- it was cooked perfectly juicy and seasoned to perfection. The sauce was also tasty. The serving size of our meals was generous. We split one order of garlic naan. My friend and I shared an order of butter chicken and the tandoori chicken. Both were delicious. The aromas and flavors so rich. It was reasonably priced. I will say that we thought it looked a bit sketchy when the lyft driver dropped us off but there was nothing sketchy about the food, atmosphere, or service- it was outstanding! ★★★★★ My wife and family were on vacation in Orlando. A family member had recommended Golden Dynasty. The food was tasty and fresh. The wait staff was attentive. The prices were reasonable. We liked it so much that we had dinner there twice. I would recommend the chicken corn soup and the chicken fried rice.
P.s: My family member is active member of Zabihah and he saw Golden dynasty on Zabihah and here the ratings were awesome that's why he insist to go here and it was worth going. Posted on January 25, 2019 |

★★★★★ This was my third time there. We were promptly greeted and seated.
the waiter kindly said that those were unavailable for three people, and that they were reserved for larger groups, as it was the weekend.
I reluctantly accepted having to feel like sitting In plane (Coach Seating) and dining.
We ordered four dishes and it was prepared very quickly. The portions were good and the dishes tasted great !! Specifically the taste was Very good
It is indeed a pleasant surprise to find this quality!
Their fusion of indian and Chinese dishes makes this a place well worth the visit.
I was happy to see families with small kids dining there,(The kids were no problem & quiet !) This place serves halal dishes only (No Pork)
And caters to Muslim customers. Posted on January 25, 2019 |

★★★★★ Nice place, good food, good times, nice owner, good serving size. Owner was a nice guy, served dishes nicely, and explained dishes well. Chinese is what we had, and he said his Pakistani is even better so have to go back and try that at one point. Posted on January 17, 2019 |

★★★★★ A friend and I wanted to try food we hadn't eaten in a while and decided upon this restaurant, where we both live relatively close to, and the great ratings on Zabihah. Unfortunately we arrived too late but we ordered from their normal menu. We ordered chicken tandoori and biryani with a side of naan. I underestimated the spiciness of the food; luckily we ordered the tandoori medium rather than hot which still gave quite a kick. The biryani was good. I would recommend both dishes if you are undecided like we were. Service was quick and attentive but we were not the only customers there; we arrived after the lunch time ended and before "dinner time". I'm sure the place is busier at those two times. ★★★★★ We looked up reviews here at Zabihah before going to Orlando! I am very glad we visited this place! They have the best mouth watering chicken corn soup, Chilli beef , egg rolls, tandoori chicken and sesame chicken. Posted on January 16, 2019 |

★★★★★ Beautiful clean restaurant
Very friendly young man was our server
Who answered all the questions that we had.
We did go for lunch and had the buffet which was incredible with flavors that I had not had before. Not sure the region/part of my India they are representing but everything was very fresh.
Will be going back. Posted on January 11, 2019 |

★★★★★ Tried the Halal restaurant, haven't had only like this in the area. Glad they are here. I got the chicken Biryani (spicy), yesssss, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori chicken... I was not dis appointed at all the portion size were good. I could have went for 1 more Garlic naan. But for what I got it was good. The wait time was appropriate 10-15 minutes. The interior was nice and clean. I like the restaurant, very spacious would love to rent it out for a dinner celebration. I would do back again. Would love to see some of their dishes offed as a meal to go. Posted on January 11, 2019 |

★★★★★ Wow! Very pleasantly surprised with golden dynasty. We had a $35 off to use, so we searched for the nearest halal restaurant near us and stumbled upon Golden dynasty. Took all 4 kiddos for dinner and ordered chicken tenders, Spicy Chicken Wings,Orange Chicken, Chicken Tikka & Naan, and biryani. Everything was delicious and tasted freshly made. My Orange chicken was especially great. It was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. I loved that it had a generous amount of sauce and spices. I would come back again and again just for this.
Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice place to take the family. We will definitely be back! Posted on January 11, 2019 |

★★★★★ Heard about this place recently, and was in the area, so decided to give it a try. Overall this place was very nice and clean and the food was great. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Wings as an appetizer and French Fries for the entree and my friends ordered the Chicken Tikka & Naan and Sesame Chicken, and we all were pleased with our food, food was fresh and the portions were large (I couldn't finish the Tikka). Highly recommended. Posted on January 11, 2019 |

★★★★★ Sometimes I stop by here on my way home from work and place a to go order. When I do stop by I get the butter chicken and extra order of Tandoori chicken (so I have enough leftovers for the next day).
I think this place is really great, and it feels very authentic to me....I don't know a lot about cooking this type of cuisine, all I know is that I like it and it's well worth the price. Posted on January 8, 2019 |

★★★★★ Please do not be fooled by the simple appearance of the place as the food is awesome! Prices are also very reasonable (we paid $60 for dinner). Note the appearance is satisfactory while the service a "good effort" put in (word is out on how good the food is and this attracts lots of fans).
Do not leave Orlando without eating here! Posted on November 4, 2018 |

★★★★★ Have been coming to golden dynasty for a long time now and it is one of my favorite restaurants. Very good Chinese food here and every time I come the food is always delicious. Generally service is good but on a busy day it can get slow. The waiting staff is friendly and very helpful. During the many instances I have come here I have never had a complaint. However owner should make an effort to make place more cleaner. Posted on August 19, 2017 |
|
|
★☆☆☆☆ the owner should focus more on the condition of the restaurant then reviews on here. Half of these "great" reviews seem fake, no shame at all. This restaurant had hundreds of roaches in its kitchen, how do you get to that level, there should be no excuse for that. Absolutely disgusting. Posted on August 16, 2017 |
|
|
★★★★☆ The food was generally good with some particular standout dishes such as the crispy chicken, chilly beef etc. service was also good. the cleanliness of the restaurant was also praiseworthy Posted on August 4, 2017 |

★☆☆☆☆ 'Hundreds of ROACHES' -health inspection report.
Golden Dynasty Chinese on South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando was temporarily closed for two days last week after a health inspector found hundreds of roaches in the kitchen.
The inspector from the Florida Department of Professional and Business Regulation closed Golden Dynasty on June 1 with 46 violations.
Golden Dynasty is located at 2116 Whisper Lakes Boulevard, in a shopping center at the corner of South Orange Blossom Trail and Whisper Lakes Boulevard.
Owner Asad Faruqui said this was the first time the restaurant has been closed for health reasons in its 16 year history. He said a recent surgery had prevented him from spending time in the restaurant and that standards had relaxed while he was away.
The inspector noted roaches in the dish machine, in a non-working cooler used to store dry good and on utensils.
“Observed approx. 100 live roaches on bottom side prep tables placed together in kitchen; active food preparation on tables observed,” the inspector wrote in the June 1 report.
There were also 10 lives roaches on a can opener and 2 live roaches in a bulk sugar container, the report said.
The restaurant was also cited for having small insects flying in the kitchen, food held at unsafe temperatures and shelves encrusted with food debris.
Golden Dynasty failed another inspection on June 2 before reopening on June 3. Live roaches were not mentioned in the June 3 inspection report.
The original June 1 inspection was the result of a complaint made to state health officials. Posted on July 6, 2017 |

★☆☆☆☆ Wow! one of the dirtiest Resturant in Orlando Fl. Read inspector report on DBPR make sure under Dynasty Chines on June 1st. Also arrival in Orlando centennial newspapers. Inspactor found 100s of roaches and describes kitchen as filthy and dirty. They are putting people life in jeopardy. How can someone eat as this place. Haram and against Islam to serve prepare food such a way and put customer helth in risk. This is United States not India or Pakistan even there they would have been shut down. I don't wanna my family to get food posing will never eat at this restaurant again. How about you? Posted on June 8, 2017 |

★☆☆☆☆ shocking expose health report posted in Orlando sentinel newspaper dated June 6 2017. the report stated HUNDREDS of roaches were found in the kitchen. also reported various small insects throughout kitchen flying around. also reported 2 live roaches found inside bulk sugar container and food kept at UNSAFE temperature, restaurant was closed for 2 days prior to opening back up..my people and customer health can be jeaporidized by this type of neglect and presence of HUNDREDS of roaches. ★☆☆☆☆ Sorry for the long review. I feel it is warranted. I've been here many times from when it first opened around 15 years ago. Its gone through multiple owners and the most recent owner for the majority of the time. When it first opened the quality of food and service were amazing, paving the way for many muslims to open restaurants. Halal status was just as important as quality of food and service. Selling handcut/zabiha chicken was a priority. It is unfortunate to say that this place has progressively worsened over the years. In all aspects (quality of food, service, and detail to zabiha offerings. First off the most important, food. The food is not consistent. Your dish from your current visit will not taste like the last time you had it. Food is refrigerated and warmed, especially Chinese food. Noodles are over cooked, rice is over cooked, meats have a stench. They have a water problem there and water has a metallic taste which goes into the food and is obvious. Investing into a water filteration system will go a long way. Your portions will vary as well. The freshest thing you'll have is naan, because they have no choice but to make it fresh. Facility. The place is more than dated. Instead or repairing roof tiles and ceiling lights, they've opted to buy cheap homedepot spot lights. Walls need painting, roof tiles need to be replaced, furniture needs to be replaced. The dishes are also extremely dirty. Cups are always sticky and plates are greasy. Those are the same cups from nearly 20 years ago. They cost $2 a piece, replacing will not hurt. Service. Although waitresses are nice and courteous, it seems like they've been trained to play 'dumb' when a customer says food tastes stale. They know its microwaved.
Lately they've hired Hispanic staff which is great, however you now have a desi/Chinese restaurant playing Hispanic music. If all this is wrong on the outside, I'm afraid to see the kitchen. I hope the owner doesn't take this review as offensive rather takes it as constructive criticism. I too would like this place to be better. Prices keep going up and quality goes backwards. A good $10k-$15k in renovations will go a long way. Its not like they aren't profitable. They also need a Chinese chef. If they have one, they need to replace him/her. Lack of quality is making this a very bad experience of a place to go. Now maybe I'm wrong. They're really busy all the time. But then again many of our people just like the idea of 'halal' restaurants and eat without noticing the quality. I really hope the owner can take this and revamp this place so going there is desirous and not a mistake like today. Oh and by the way, bathrooms also need renovations. I suggest starting off by replacing the bulbs that don't work. I used to love coming here and still have been giving them and second third fourth and 100th chance over the past 5-7 years, but each time I'm disappointed. I also wish the owners can carry hand cut zabiha chicken, allow local halal organizations to inspect and approve them, so that they can again be an amazing restaurant. Also the water filter would be great so lead isn't evident in the food. Posted on May 21, 2017 |

★★★★★ Has easily been our favorite restaurant in Orlando for more than 10 years. The food is always consistently awesome. Our personal favorites include crispy chicken (a must have), tandoori chicken, and nihari. The owner is a very nice man completely focused on providing the best service, making this restaurant a must-have. Posted on December 11, 2016 |

★★★★★ Food here was amazing!! Definitely would recommend crispy chicken! Chilli chicken and Mongolian beef were also amazing. Very nice taste and the right level of spices. We also tried the bihari chicken and that was melt in my mouth good! Will be going back in the near future! Posted on October 24, 2016 |

★★☆☆☆ Went here with a coupon and am so glad I didn't have to pay full price for the food- it definitely was not worth it. Ordered the honey garlic chicken which was overwhelmingly sweet and the chilli beef which was very very tough meat. Also ordered the wontons as appetizer but there was no cream cheese in them, just chicken. We should have asked how the wontons would be but just assumed they would be similar to those found at other Asian places. The service was also very slow. Would not go there again unfortunately, even though they have a good reputation. Posted on February 27, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ Bad bad bad food. Do not go to this place. Posted on February 26, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ Very horrible experience. In the beginning we ordered 3 different dishes. 1. Beef 2. Chicken 3. Shrimps. Believe it or not all three dishes has same sauce and same vegetable. We did like them at all. Then we ordered nahari with a hope that may like. And I am sorry to say that was waste of money. We were party of husband, wife and two kids. At last we ordered crispy chicken. Some how that was not bad. That's why I rank this visit as one star. I would definitely ask owner if you read this review please improve the quality as you use to have. We are long time customer. Thank you Posted on February 25, 2016 |

★★★☆☆ We had remembered liking their food the last time we were in Orlando so we decided to go there again the first night we were back. The food this time seemed just average. Nehari had so much oil in it that you could fill a large cup with that oil. The rolls and chicken corn soup were good but the chicken fried rice were just okay. A little too spicy but that was our own fault, we should have asked for medium. When my husband told the waiter about the oil in nihari, they said that we had to let them know if we didn't want tarka. I had never heard of nihari getting tarka and we would have told them if we knew that it was done in this restaurant. The staff was nice though and pretty fast in their service. Prices are okay as well. Posted on December 26, 2015 |

★★★★★ We went to Golden dynasty this weekend while visiting Orlando for the Appna Conference. Had 20 guest for lunch and all of us enjoyed the meal. Owner Asad Farooqui takes pride in this place and made sure we all got what we wanted. There was a slight mixup with the order but things were fixed very quickly. The Chicken Sizzler and Fried rice were the best. My kid loved the chicken corn soup and we even got some packed to go. I wish these guys were local so that we could go more often. ★★☆☆☆ Very poor chinese halal place. Went with whole family and we sampled many dishes and most were either mediocre or downright bad. Do not get their hunan beef... it was disgusting. Mongolian beef not too bad, nihari and naan were good, and their chili chicken was good. But lo mein, ginger chicken were just poorly done. I would really need a good reason to go back to this place. ★☆☆☆☆ The most horrible food I have ever eaten in my entire life! Ordered Curry Chicken, fried rice and Manchurian Chicken 2 Sundays ago. It was a take-out so when we reached home eager to eat and to our disappointment the curry was horrible, extremely sweet, had Water Chestnuts and Red peppers in it (not a pinch of chili and I had asked for all food to be extra spicy). It seemed like this was a left over from past day/s original meant to be a Chinese dish with tons of tomatoes sauce added to it, chicken had frozen taste to it! How could you serve such horrendous "Curry chicken"?? Dry Fried Rice, Some dry white rice mixed with few vegetable and Soy sauce poured on it and not properly mixed. How could the owner who is of Pakistani origin allow such food to go out? The Manchurian was overly salty which we also could not eat either. Ordered Pizza Hut from nearby and threw away $30 worth of food away - So mad and so sad! I did have this experience before but thought I'd give them another chance as things happens sometimes but this was totally unacceptable!!
Owner, please just close the doors.
Do NOT waste your precious money and time there. Do not take a chance!!! Posted on July 31, 2015 |

★★★★★ Crispy chicken was excellent! Did not really enjoy the soup much but all the dishes were really good. The house lo mein was good and the qublai beef was also good however, it was very spicy. I also enjoyed the garlic naan. There is a place to pray in the ice cream shop next door. This place can get busy and the service can be slow. Posted on March 30, 2015 |

NR We were in Orlando for a week. Looking for a halal place to eat found very good reviews and decided to go here. Our experience was totally different from what we found on zabihah. The food tasted bad and I found fungus on the chilli oil they had on tables for sides. Horrible experience. We ordered mandarin chicken and crispy chicken upon waitress suggestions. Crispy chicken was ok but the mandarin chicken was horrible. It tasted like spoilt food. Told the waitress and she changed our dish with chilli chicken which also we didn't like. Never will recommend anyone. Posted on March 2, 2015 |

★★★★☆ This was my favorite restaurant on our trip to Orlando. It is clean, the decor is nice. Very good service. We tried both the Chinese and the Pakistani food. The Orange chicken was a little too spicy for my kids. The chicken corn soup was OK. The Pakistani food was very good, we had Chicken Karahi and Chicken Rashmi kabobs. Both were very good. The owner was very nice, he came over and asked if there was anything else we need. The restaurant is quite popular. There were several families waiting for a table. I would definitely recommend this place. Posted on September 2, 2014 |

★★★★★ So the review needs to be split in to two sections to be fair.....
1. The Food-
Chicken Tikka, Chicken Boti, Mandarin shrimp, Mandarin Chicken,Mongolian Beef the list goes on.... The food is the best I have tasted (I am old and have therefore tasted a lot!) all the dishes are generous portions, quality ingredients and simply amazing taste and quality.
The food deserves 6 Stars!!
2. The service and wait times -
Where do I start, The staff are really great, they try their best but unfortunately the wait times are up to an hour, they are always busy so are rushed off their feet and constantly forget about you....Tonight I am going to try the phone and collect...let's see if that is a better option. ★★★★☆ We came here on Christmas eve and it was packed to the brim. We asked the waitress about the wait time and how long it would take and she told us that in her opinion, the wait time would be too long for us to eat at the restaurant. We decided to leave and while we were getting in the car to find another place to eat the manager (owner?) came out of the restaurant with a menu and told us that we could order takeout and he would make sure we would get our food in around half an hour. We decided to go for it since the last restaurant we tried had also been packed and it was getting late. The food arrived on time and tasted great. I don't know what "authentic Chinese" tastes like but the food was similar to other halal Chinese restaurants I've eaten at so I assume it's authentic. Regardless, they tasted delicious. ★★★☆☆ Came here for the first time on Christmas Eve. The place was very busy. They didn't have any of the Indian options from the menu due to the busy schedule. The food was very good and we tried different dishes. They all had similar general taste. The taste was very good, but was hoping for different flavours for the different dishes. Maybe condensing the menu so they can focus on specific dishes to make them more distinct. I would come back again. Service was reasonable given the busy time we went. Posted on December 25, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Owner is extremely rude far from Buisness ethics - actually it's not a Chinese food because all of the Chinese dishes contain same test feel like he is using American sweet BBQ sauce in every dish that's the reason all of the dishes are sweet and thick - Also i may call ADA since his bathroom is not fully equipped according to guide lines carpet also full of mold and grease. ★★★☆☆ I gave a 3 because my husband enjoyed the food. However, he has never had authentic Chinese. This is Pakistani Chinese. Similar to when a Chinese restaurant serves French fries, it just isn't right. They gave good portions for the prices but I left hungry because the food was not appetizing. The service was great though! If I return I will be sure to order from the Pakistani part of the menu. Also, the gentleman I believe to be the owner was a little pushy with trying to up-sell our order. He made suggestions that were more expensive than relevant to what we wanted to eat. I do believe there is a lot of potential in this little shop because the service is good and the place was packed, I hope the owner reads his reviews. Posted on August 11, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Been to this place several times over the years. It is usually about average. It's never been bad so I can't complain. On occasion it's been a 4-star place, so I'll give it 4, just out of general appreciation. There aren't many halal Chinese options in Orlando, so I'm happy they've been around so long. ★☆☆☆☆ I am writing this review about a month late, I happened to be in Orlando for a mini vacation and formally living here I have a lot of close ties to people, so I naturally visit a few times a year.
Being so I always made a effort to stop by this place as I enjoyed the food here in past, however my last visit on June 8th, was probably my last as the quality and flavor of the food we ordered was just not what it used to be.
I mean we usually go to this place in the middle of lunch and dinner service when usually the place is empty and the cook and server are usually hanging outside. Being in the food industry and a former cook my self. Usually it's the best time to eat as they usually make good better when slow.
However this wasn't the case as the cook enjoys hanging out more in the dining room rather where he should belong.
As one of the previous few comments below states. All it is is soy sauce and protein just warmed. Never heard anything cooked behind the scene as usually you do in Chinese restaurant. Seemed as food is already pre made, microwaved and served.
I should have trusted my friends gut instinct as we sat outside the restaurant before going in. He was suggesting we should have went to china3 a new place which is across the town.
If you are the owner reading this, I hope you are paying attention about your food quality or there won't be a restaurant for you to manage in the future.
Lastly no issue with service. Just the food quality is suffering! Posted on July 5, 2013 |

★★★★☆ 2013 Review:
So we tried Golden Dynasty 2 times again on the memorial day weekend with relatives & also tried 2 other restaurants(Chaat house & China 3) during our stay in Orlando, FL. I think Golden Dynasty is much better choice. Chaat house was completely disappointment & expensive also. I can see owner always tries to keep the standard high & restaurant clean, not like other Pakistani restaurants, which is a good sign. There is still a room for improvement in Chinese food. As other people complained, we were also charged more in credit card transaction. This issue was resolved but I think you need to be careful before swiping credit cards.
Overall we enjoyed food especially our relatives, so I am increasing 1 more star :) this time and we will definitely visit this restaurant again.
2010 Review:
I have lived in Chicago, DC and Atlanta and love to eat outside and have good sense of taste. I recently visited this place after reading all the reviews in zabihah.com. I was kind of bit disappointed. Food taste is just OK not an extra ordinary. We were served soup without the chips. They were running short because of weekend rush. Overall atmosphere is good, friendly staff, pretty clean place. Their Chinese food is better than paki/indian food. They don't really know how to cook chicken karahi. Kabobs were also just ok. Its not must to go restaurant. Posted on June 2, 2013 |
Salaam Shahid,
I am sorry to hear that you have a disappointing experience at Golden Dynasty. We have never been busier in a span of 10 days and ran out of several things due to a lot of places being closed. If you ever come back to Orlando at a not so crazy busy time, please give us another chance and you surely will not be disappointed. If GD is not the must go halal restaurant in Orlando, I really don't think there is any restaurant you should go to in this city. Chicago however is full of great restaurants, Usmania being my favorite on!! JAK, Ahmed |

★☆☆☆☆ salam brothers and sisters. I Took carry out twice. First time my soup waay forgotten and my chicken dish had a fishy taste in it. Deicded to give them another try. This time the chicken in my fried rice had a foul smell to it. I wont be returning ever again. Posted on June 2, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ This place use to be so good, but it is literally crap now! All I taste when I eat the food is soy sauce. literally soy sauce buckets of it. Good back to your old marination cause whatever you're using now is not working. I miss the old GD. More Chinese places are opening up in Orlando now and sadly to say they are much better than this. I'd give it a 1 star but I'm giving it a 2 just because I enjoyed it in the past. Posted on May 29, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ We went to the restaurant for dinner over a weekend and it was quite packed. Because the restaurant was full, diners were waiting outside for tables to clear. We gave our name to a waiter, only for him to seat a family that had come after us before he seated us. We confirmed that the other family had no reservation. The same waiter then neglected to bring my mother utensils, despite being asked two times. After my mother confronted him about these issues, he began to avoid our table entirely and allowed other waitstaff to take care of us. The food was just ok, and not in the same league as well-known Chinese restaurants in the Chicago or Los Angeles areas. Posted on May 19, 2013 |
AsSalaamAlaikum. Did you complain to the manager or ask for the owner? You give a restaurant two stars due to the waiter without even trying to resolve the issue seems unfair to the owners who work extremely hard. Alhumdulillah, there must have been a reason there were people waiting outside. |

★★★★★ On our visit to Orlando from Alabama My friend recommended this restaurant for some real Pakistani Chinese food.
After all day at park we decided to eat here. Called around 10:50PM (CLOSING TIME). Owner/Manager Asad was really friendly and nice enough to still take our TO GO order.
Tried chicken friend rice and Chicken Karahi. Karahi was ok but me and my wife loved chicken fried rice.
will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for pakistani chinese food in usa. Posted on April 15, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I've been going to golden dynasty since they opened, I used to love their food, but my last 2 visits were not so good. I tried it with my wife once and had a bad experience, considering it wasn't even that busy. Few months later I tried again hoping i would have a good experience but unfortunately not. I know the 2 brothers very well and respect them, but i am sorry to say food is not the same as it was some times back. Charcoal Joe on the other hand is pretty good. Posted on March 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ We frequent this fine restaurant at least once a week and I'm honestly surprised to read comments about quality/quantity, spice, etc. The food is excellent along with the service and there are also plenty of options for mild dishes, especially for kids. One of very few places where the owner allows you to pray in the kitchen where you will observe the discipline of the entire staff in the preparation of your food. Most important of all, the owner actually takes the time to talk to customers and solicits feedback on the experience. Highly recommend this place. Posted on January 27, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Wonderful experience here! By far the BEST halal chinese food in Orlando! And that's not just coming from me. If you want some legit, halal, delicious food, Golden dynasty is the place to be! My favorite item is the tandoori chicken BY FAR! Whether it's desi or chinese food, this restaurant always has me leaving with a smile :) The owner personally walked me out and asked me about the food. AMAZING! Posted on January 14, 2013 |

|
★☆☆☆☆ i had placed a pick up order, and the package was not sufficient for the amount of orders it contain. they tried to package all of it in one bag. causing the containers on the bottom to crush under weight and leaking and busted through the bag, making messy nasty stains in my car, and also the food was NOT prepared as requested. red cayenne pepper or something really hot sprinkled on everything. chicken breast they used was rubbery, fried chicken from appetizer had smell to it. would not recommend this place as opposed to other chinese places in orlando. Posted on January 11, 2013 |
We apologize for the error in your order and the spicy food. Did you call the restaurant and let the staff or the Manager/Owner know about your experience? If so, did they refuse make it right? Your star rating is only justified if you complained and nothing was done as ever once in a while mistakes happen as people work at Golden Dynasty and sometimes they are new employees who pack the food. I would suggest to everyone reading this, please get with the restaurants before posting a review about your sub par experiences and if things are not resolved, then by all means write the review. |

★★☆☆☆ the chinese food is good, it used to be excellant, but two star downgrade for a variety of reasons. first of all, i have noticed the size of the food and amount has DECREASED and the meat cut is not as thick or hearty as in the past. also even after 2 requests the food arrived spicy and hot even though menu states food spice can be altered to taste. other than those 2 complains, i will still recommend and go to this restuarant has they are pros at this chinese game and it is nice to find desi style chinese as sometimes you want chinese with a desi twist, this is the place to be for it! ★☆☆☆☆ This place has been going downhill for a few years now. The only pro it has is if you are going with a big family..they have proper seating (for a paki restaurant). The mandarin chicken was the ONLY dish here worth coming back for, and the past few times, thats been really bad. Their food always has a funky smell to it, i cant remember the last time anything tasted FRESH or even delicious for that matter. The hot sauce they give with the carryout orders is ALWAYS spoiled. A month ago I found mold in it and they said i can come back for another one... lol no thanks :)
This past weekend it smelled liek it has been expired for a few weeks. Probably was my last time going there. China3 is where its at :-D Posted on November 26, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ there used to be a time a few years back, where this was a 5 star deserving resturant, unforunately the past couple of years took a hit, mainly on quantity and quality. the portions have been significantly dialed back, in some cases, i would say there about 33% smaller as compared to a year before of same dinner item, even though within those 2 years the prices have climbed..so this is rather mindful, to raises prices and reduce portions..seems unfair, also the quality is suffering, as of late, there has been excess watery residue in our meals, and not as flavorful, as before..i always order the same meal, and the size is a lot smaller, taste is'nt the same, it has become average in my book, but too bad, the portions have been reduced greatly..just be forewarned if you are local, the sizes have been reduced. ★★★★★ This is my family's favorite restaurant in Orlando. Both Chinese and IndoPak dishes are excellent and authentic in taste. The owner and the staff are nice and friendly. It is a clean restaurant. I highly recommend this place to those who seek for halal authentic chinese and indopak taste. There are few tips to make your dine-in experience better:
1) Try to go before 6:00 PM as this place gets really busy though they try their best to accommodate you.
2) Must try their chicken tandoori and chicken mandarin Posted on November 24, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ i am sorry..but my experience was less than golden at golden dynasty. i picked up one of ther menus from another fast food halal place. i was intriguid, the brochure clearly stated they are open until 11 pm..i also saw on my smartphone that they are open until 11 pm..i called and man on phone said..we take our last dine in order at 10:30 pm..i said that is ok, i am ordering for take away. i tried to place order, but due to traffic noise and patchy cell phone reception, there was not total communication and i was not confident my order was being taken correctly..i said i am going to be there in about 15 mins..i will place order then..i arrived at 10:24 pm..i pulled up my minivan and let my daughter out by the door..as we were pulling up..about 6 people exited the restuarant and 4 people were still eating..the young man upon seeing my daughter come to the door quickly locked the door..at 10:25 pm...how RUDE is this!..then he walked away,..i called and said on cellphone, we are here..he said..we closed today at 10:30...i told him brochure and website says 11..he said..on weekends..i said brochure in my hand says daily close at 11..just want take away and people are still leaving and eating..he stuttered and did not open the door..totally disrespectful action to customer to lock door in the face as soon as a car pulls up..maybe he saw van.lol.and got scared thinking it was a group..but we were only 2 ordering take out...will NOT come back due to waste of time and gas money and insulting service. instead we drove down obt and settled for halal fried chicken instead of lollypop chicken as we wanted. please act more professional. ★★★★★ Best mix of Chinese and Desi food. The food is zabiha halal and the taste is great. Very clean place and excellent quick service. Tandoori Chicken and Chapli kababs are delicious. The kids loved the chicken lo mein and fried chicken. Owner is very courteous. Posted on November 18, 2012 |

★★★★★ My family and I have been going to GD for over 3 years and we really like it overall. The food is good, large portion sizes, family oriented, and the staff is friendly! We eat from both menus, Chinese and Indian, and we've never been disappointed. They're Great! Posted on November 12, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ iirespective of what there menu says, all items are hot and spicy with the red curry powder, it makes it difficult for the little ones to eat with the family meals and we purposedly placed orders without the chilli markings and it did not matter, it came hot and spicey anyways..i guess they are catering to what is popular but, sometimes you cannot tolerate their spice level, which is much more than just a kick in the pants, cutting back would'nt be such a bad idea..or at least follow protocol as stated in your menu.if the childred had enjoyed, maybe we would have enjoyed, but spent too much type rubbing off spices on napkin so kids can eat, even though menu said not spicy. Posted on October 24, 2012 |
I sorry but but I would disagree with you! My kids eat there all the time and they don't eat any spice. There are plenty of things that are sweet and there are plenty of things on the menu that have no spice at all. Also, we DO NOT use Red Curry Powder in our restaurant. Order separately for the kids based on what they like to eat and you will not have any problems. Thanks! |

★☆☆☆☆ What happened to this place? This use to be my to-go place for chinese food, but lately everythings been a disappointment here. You guys need to get your game up. Get a new cook maybe? My fried rice tasted like soy rice, my popcorn chicken was all mush. Posted on September 4, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Tried the restaurant on our Disney trip. I write this as I sit there, because I need a break from all the spice. We even told the server that the kids can't eat spicy, the crispy chicken which other reviewers had mentioned was the only real spicy one we ordered. Well the crispy chicken wasn't so great. It was fried chicken tossed in red chilli/cayenne pepper. We got the Mongolian chicken at the servers recommendation because it was suppose to be sweet and spicy, but was only spicy. The pepper chicken was also suppose to be a mild dish but the chicken tasted off. The children liked the chicken lo mien. The chicken corn soup was orange ?? But tasted ok, not a lot of chicken in it. The egg rolls, i had to spit out into a napkin. This does not compare at all to any of the Chinese restaurants in Toronto (Markham or Mississauga). It's ok if you want indo-Chinese but not one I'd visit again. Posted on July 1, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ please retrain your staff of young gentelmen in proper resturant etiiquette and mannerisms, i have received better service at roadside roti stalls in india. the way my wife was addressed was preposterous, things such as "sir" and "madam" go a long way, as opposed to "lady" and "hey you"..not only was the server staff rude and appalling, the chicken corn style soup was bland tasting and had a watery residue, and the dinner sizes have been reduced to some of the smallest portions yet to be seen at a resturant of these prices. poor service. simply no excuse. ★★★★★ The food here is great. We love going here and love the overall atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and make eating your meal a enjoyable one. Above all it is the only LEGIT halal place in Orlando no gimmicks. I enjoy going to Golden Dynasty and will continue to go InshaAllah. If you are ever in the Orlando area give this place a try, trust me you wont regret it. Posted on May 21, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ I visited the restaurant, with my family, a couple of days ago. There was not a single other customer in the place other than us. There was a dirty table next to where we were sitting and another one accross the dining area. The waitress, upon removing the dirty dishes, starts to spray cleaning reagents on to the table right next to us!! I asked her if she had to do it right at that moment as we were eating. She doesn't like my comment and immediately responds: yes I have to because if a customer comes, I have no other place to sit them. I look around the room, there were 9 tables available with at least seating arrangements for 40 people. All I could say is RRight! Plus, I am not used to a waitress talking back to me in a rude way. I was not there to seek favor. I purchased whatever my party wanted and I tipped the same waitress 20% the night before. The food was good. However, I will never return to that place nor that I will ever recommend this place to anyone. Wish I could speak to the owner about this waitress who is a huge negative factor for the business and eventually will cause the business to close down. Posted on May 11, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ i just moved into town so i will be trying all the places that get most reviews..i took my family here..first thing i noticed was the waiters were in street clothes there was no host ..someone came from the kicthen i guess she is a cook/waiter/host/cleaner etc...my children had the spicey fried chicken which they liked i had lo mein and garlic beef i could see their wasnt much meat in it..the rice was half the amount of the entree .. i had the lo mein . and having had some excellent lo mein at the halal place on old winter garden i expected this to be above that since this was"authentic" chinese but i was wrong it was a reddish-orange rubbery noodle concoction..the fried rice we ordered was"yellow" it had those frozen veggies u get for 99 cents a pound at walmart..the food was good on top of that they slapped a 15 percent tip on the bill..i didnt say anything but it reflects on the owner..what motivates the servers if they already have their tip?? ★★★☆☆ I would rate them as of today about 2-3. Been going to them for years but the only thing I enjoy now is their crispy combo. Everything else is mediocre at best. The quality and quantity has reduced. One night I went there with family and the entire restaurant was filled with smoke. My eyes were so red and allergies that I didn't even know I had started to flare up. Not a good sign for this restaurant. Hope these reviews help them improve! Posted on April 3, 2012 |

★★★★★ AOA All,
We just returned from a trip to Orlando and Golden Dynasty is the place we went like 7-10 times in a 3 weeks trip. I went with my family, my Orlando friends and by myself after my kids had gone back.
Golden Dynasty has amazing crispy chicken for starters (wish someone would start offering it in Mississauga/Toronto Area). Chicken Tikka is Delicious, Lean Chicken without any fat and just the perfect blend of spices. Nihari is as good as anyone (including Sabri from Chicago) with one of the best Fresh made Naan (Bread). I'd Qublai Rice on my every single visit (It has Chicken/Beef & Shrimp). It was a suggestion by the Owner (Asad) and what an amazing choice he made for me. We also had Chicken Corn Soup, Chili Chicken. Both are good too. Service is good, Meal Portions and Prices are about the same compared to Mississauga/Toronto Area Chinese but the quality of food is much better than Mississauga. Best thing was that the food was delicious every single time.
This was our second trip in the last 6 months. We also had a trip to Lahore in between these 2 Orlando trips. I must say that after eating at Yum in Lahore and Golden Dynasty in Orlando, I have stopped eating at our local Chinese in Mississauga as they are no match to these 2 places. Any suggestions in Mississauga/Toronto Area as good as Yum/Golden Dynasty are welcome.
Last but not least, Any one of the owners from Yum/Golden Dynasty will be much better off opening a branch in Mississauga/Toronto Area as they will beat the rest in no time.
I would highly suggest everyone to try Golden Dynasty on their trip to Orlando and would be going there on my all future trips.

★★★☆☆ Food used to be very tasty before. i am not sure if they drop the cook and replace him.
it's not the resturabnt that make the food tasty is the chef,, changing Chefs will have an affect on the business. when i go to a resturant i go to eat and enjoy could care less about anything else cause i am only there for a few minutes so keep the food delicious and you will see many patrons when customers complaint buisness will be bad... learn from mistakes brother Posted on January 31, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ they need to do some thing about there food taste i been eating there from almost 4 years and since 2 years there food taste quality got droped by 70% for some reason. they better do some thing before they go out of business. and also they are little expensive too, there are hundreds of Chinese restaurants all are mostly cheap but they are not they just want to rip their own Muslims brothers and sisters who only eat halal meat, be careful GD there is a another Halal Chinese restaurant opened now, I dont want you guys to go out of business so do some thing to bring back your old customers. ★★☆☆☆ i have been coming here on wknds close to 3 years now, the food is consistent and good, although the spice level fluctuates from just right to unbearable, where you need milk to wash it down, we get mix of indian food and chinese food, not really desi chinese style, but it is spicy bent towards desi tastes, the decor is standard fare, and the staff is attentative, and accomodating, there is a t.v for entertianment during wait times, however one thing that is clearly noticable over the years, is the portions are getting SMALLER AND SMALLER, and prices have incremently gone up, which is understandable as commodities prices increase, rents increase, wages increase etc..but when the business is increasing the menu price, from a customer's point of view, there is no justification for the smaller portions, please review the size of your white take out containers, and ask yourselves if you would be happy with that small box size of food for the price you are paying?..unfortunately take out value has become questionable, no reason for smallish boxes, cost of rice, eggs, vegetables, meat basic staples did not dramatically increase where the menu price increase cannot cover it, where even the portions are cut back..i have doubts about coming back in the future, with more halal indian chinese desi options in florida, at least i don't need to question the value ratio over there..please accept my constructive criticism and hopefully next time i will be a satisfied customer like in the years past, just lately, portions are getting too small. ★★☆☆☆ This restaurant came highly recommended but we were extremely disappointed. We tried both Chinese and Desi dishes and both fell short. From the soup to the appetizers and entrees. With a large group we had a variety to sample. Also found the restaurant to be pricey and the staff not very friendly/welcoming. Posted on December 31, 2011 |

★★★★★ Went to this place in October 2010 (I know the review is pretty late, but I still wanted to praise this restaurant). We were visiting Orlando for Disney, so looked up on my zabihah app nearby halal places and this one popped up. We went there and ordered some of their desi food and Chinese and everything tasted great. I don't remember anything being bad or unpleasant. The food was good, the location was good, was pretty clean and of course Halal Chinese is always good. I remember one night we got out of Disney late and found this place closed. I wish they would stay open later cause of Disney. Posted on December 21, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Food was okay. We were starving and we wanted some heavy food, but we didnt expect the food to be so spicy and so oily. We would be willing to give this place an extra try again but we were disappointed. Posted on December 7, 2011 |
Not sure why people complain about the food at GD being oily and/or spicy. You will get what you ordered. If you are getting something which is fried and spicy and you tell the server to make it spicy, it will be spicy and oily. There are plenty of items that are non-spicy, mild and even sweet. Please discuss with your server if you give us another try. Thanks |

★★★☆☆ this one is almost a perfect restuarant, the only drawbacks i can think of is it is always spicy irrespective of what the menu states, i asked our waiter what he could recommend for the kids, and one of the interesting suggestions was a fried chicken strip chinese style, he indicated it does not have a "chilli" pepper picture next to it at menu, so it would not be spicy..it turned out to be very hot, with curry powder mixed in...the waiter also seemed oblivious to why we were requesting a table, and insisted we "shoehorn" into a booth.,..perhaps he cannot discern my father who has an oxygen tank that needs to be placed in a manner best suited on a table, but again, the waiter was aprehensive about giving up a table, and insisiting we get into a booth, even though 2 tables were available...not good customer service at all..my tip reflected that, so some negatives here need to be improved, however still recommend if you enjoy spicy indian and spicy chinese food..good family environment overall..just need better trained staff on how to deal with customer with special needs. ★★☆☆☆ I use to love this place a few years back, but now I hesitate to go to it. It sucks that this is the only halal Chinese restaurant around here. I love chinese food, and this restaurant has become more indian then Chinese. If I wanted spicy food mixed with garlic sauce I would have gone to an Indian restaurant. I'm not a fan of the food here. Not my style of chinese.
I know your customers are mostly desi, but still you could give them a taste of what actual Chinese food tastes like instead of swarming it with spices. Posted on September 22, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ This place is hit or miss. It's all about luck..good luck! Also prices have increased and portions have decreased. Posted on June 26, 2011 |
Not sure about the hit or miss comment. Golden Dynasty is the most establish Zabihah restaurant in the state of Florida so we like to make every experience a hit. However, every now and then due to human error, things can be a miss, and for that, if you contact the management, we would try our level best to make it a hit for you! Yes, prices have gone up by $0.50 but the portions are the same as they were 8 years ago. Regards, Ahmed |

★★★★☆ I am going to GD since it was first opened 10 years ago, the food is still awesome and Owner is Gentleman, specially Crispy Chicken is the star dish but in my recent visits I went 3 times (1 was take out order) and I was over charged 2 out of 3 times, the take out order was charged on Dine In prices as it was complete take out order, the 3rd time we ate in and was charged $10.99 extra for a dish plus we has a partial take out ordered and again was charged Dine in prices (the $10.99 item was removed upon objecting), Overall $20.00, I do not understand the mistake as it was not busy (4 pm)
I will still recommend the place but you should Check your bill before making the payment Posted on April 22, 2011 |
Thank you for taking the time out to review us. I do apologize for the double charge. We had a new server who started with us around that time and could be the reason for the overcharge. We do encourage everyone to check the bill regardless of which restaurant you go to. There is always a chance of human error especially when someone is new or when the restaurant is very busy. So checking your bill can't hurt. Regards, Ahmed |

★★★★☆ I like this restaurant. Good Food & Good/Friendly service sums it all up. I'd go again but it's probably time for interior renovation. It's Chinese restaurant owned by a South Asian Mulsim which means you find both foods in one place. We tried the Chinese and they were delicious. Posted on February 17, 2011 |

★★★★★ Salaam, Just want to say that i am from the Uk and have been working here in Florida for the past few weeks. I have eaten at Golden Dynasty nearly every day during my stay. The reason being that their food is THE BEST. i dont own the place, i dont have a share in it, but from the heart the food is nice. The owner is a nice man, always gave me tasters of new dishes, (which amazed me) and the staff are very nice too., It is catered for family environments. The crispy chicken is very nice. People who have complained on this review page, i dnt understand as the food has been perfect every time. As for the portions, they are of a decent size. I am a regular business traveller to Orlando, and i ALWAYS eat here.Coming from the UK where on one street we have many different restaurants, this one has struck a balance with me. I would definately reccomend to anyone visiting Orlando. The prices are decent for halal food. Wish the owners all the best. Sajid Aman Posted on February 8, 2011 |

We felt so welcomed and the food was simply amazing. I must say best tasting food zabihah food in the orlando area. Loved the Crispy chicken, nehari was awsome and service was A+. Of all the desi restaurants ive eaten through out the united states, this place comes after Chicago. I wish they had food like this in NJ. ★★★☆☆ we are from chicago visiting orlando, looked at z.com and saw the good reviews about this restaurant so we thought of stopping by one night. Party of 15 people we ordered food, the food was okay. Their Chicken corn soup was by far the best, good quantity but there was not much chicken or corn in it, it was mostly watery but tasted good. We ordered other dishes like manchurian chicken, mangolian beef, crispy beef etc.. All the dishes were too oily, they tend to put less meat and more vegetables in each of the dishes thus cheating the customers. The quantity of meat is much less and rest is all onions and Green peppers and lots of soy sauce. I guess this is a good way to cheat customers. Anyways the fried rice was okay not that great either, the service was good.
At the end we ordered the check they already ordered gratuity in the check and it does not say anywhere about it secondly we gave additional 18% tip on top of 15% they charged when we asked they said yes they added and we are like okay dont worry don't need to get the tip back so they infact got 38% tip i think its robbery again.
When the bill came in we looked at it and they have added few charges more in it and we had to tell the waiters and they apologized and corrected it.
We went there back again couple days ago and ordered similar dishes the prices for the soup was more we inquired why they said they by mistake put in the takeout prices. We had it corrected again.
To test them we said lets go there once again so on the third visit we went party of 5 and again same problem with the food and the bill was over prices i was mad and talked to the waiter and again they gave me the same excuse about some mixup in menu i was mad and by then they have charged my credit card and said they will give me the difference back.
All in all the food was okay but you need to watch your check at the end these guys are sleazy and are adding more dishes and prices to your bill Be careful. Nexst time we decided not to go there because of the price issue and the cheating.
The same guy owns other restaurant Charcoal Joe we went there once and the food was good but again our bill was more than what we ordered, we looked at it later but it was late to go back and readjust it. Posted on December 31, 2010 |
SalaamAlaikum,
First off, shame on you for calling me and my brother cheaters, robbers and sleazy. I don't know what kind of person are you but based on my little knowledge of Islam, it isn't right. Now coming back to your point. During the last 10 days of December, we were extremely busy to the point where we had to hire four additional people, two for the kitchen and two servers. So, I do apologize if the prices where rung wrong but as you mentioned they were taken care of not sure how that is cheating.
As for the TIP (gratuity), It says on the dine in menus that it will be included and we also have a sign in the front saying that and besides, that goes to the servers and not the owners plus according to you they offered to take it off so not exactly robbery as you pointed out! As for the food portions, I am not sure where you are from but we get complements from people from all over that our food quantity is great and our prices are lower then other quality halal Chinese. I was just in Raleigh NC two weeks ago and ate at a halal Chinese paying $11.99 for chicken items and $13.99 for beef. At GD, 95% of the menu items are below $10.00. Also a word of advice for you, next time you have a problem, don't talk to the waiter if it is not being resolved, talk to a manager or the owner since that will help resolve most situations. ★★★☆☆ I know that a lot of ppl have rated this resturant as very highly. It might be something that the locals enjoy. But I frankly didn't really enjoy the food out here. I guess since i was travelling from dallas and we have some good options out here in noodle wave which is by the way a top notch thai resturant, they serve some chinese dishes as well. Anyways, my expectations were maybe too high. We ordered soup and crispy chicken fried rice and some steak dish , either it was pepper steak or something cant remember.
1) soup was ok.
2) pepper steak or whatever that dish was, the meat was rubbery. It didnt taste like ohh this is good. It wasn't bad either. Just so so food. I know i have had a similar dish in dallas and it was off the hook at noodle wave.
3) fried rice, ok this i did not like , it is nothing like your proper Chinese fried rice , maybe they try to give this desi touch to it , even by desi fried rice standard it wasn't good.
4) Crispy chicken, i thought this was a bit of a let down. I know a lot of ppl like this probably but i felt it was just ok.
I might have had way too much expectation but its not like the food is inedible. Food is just average from my perspective. But the locals seem to like it. I went into this restaurant just by looking at the number of reviews and the ratings giving by ppl, i was a bit disappointed. Posted on December 24, 2010 |
Debal,
I love Noodle Wave!! When I visited Dallas two years ago, I went their 5 times in 4 days!! So, since you like Noodle Wave, you should have tried Mandarin Chicken or Beef, General Tsau Chicken and Manchurian Noodles. Also, in order to really enjoy the flavors of Golden Dynasty, I do recommend coming here before the 8PM rush or a non holiday weekend which I know can be difficult for people for other states. I don't hope you give us another try on your next visit to Orlando! JazakAllah Kahir, Ahmed |

★★★★★ Salam,
Was at Golden Dynasty last week for a quick business trip to orlando. I wanted to head to Charcoal Joe, but the wife insisted that we have some nihari, so we headed here. First of all the service was great, the servers were pleasant and recommended great dishes. About the nihari the portions in orlando i guess are much bigger than miami for the same price. We ordered also the famous crispy chicken, it was the best appetizer ever, beautiful color and taste. WE didnt think we were gonna get much nihari so we also ordered chicken tikka which was also very good. In the end we had alot of food left over, because of the genorous portions. Btw falooda was the great finish! I would also like to mention brother Asad came over to ask how everything was, and even offered to lower the AC for our comfort with out us asking, very polite and professional. ★★☆☆☆ i came in during their lunch hours and i ordered pepper steak platter like i always do, but this time around the quality was really bad..before there was a time when the meat was "thinly sliced" and looked appealing and was consistent with what other chinese places offered,..however my last 2 outings, (i let the first one slide in case it was a fluke)..the meat was more like scraps that come off of a butchers floor..very unappealing and definitely talks of deteriorating quality..perhaps the kitchen staff has changed? and the owner is not aware of how the meat is being cut and served?..i hope it is'nt with the owners/manager's consent, because it definitly would not be worth a future return visit.the taste can be much improved if the staff took a minute to properly cut the meat, (like they did in the past) so it looks presentable and edible., if on the other hand, they just opted to use a less expensive form of meat from the butcher/store..than it is quite noticeable to your regular customers and we feel the burn. Posted on November 8, 2010 |
ASA,
I do apologize that the last two visits at Golden Dynasty were not satisfying. Our kitchen staff is the same for about four years now and no we do not use scraps that come off of a butchers floor. For our beef entrées, we use select grade meat which is of high quality (U.S. Select). We have two people in our staff that do nothing but cut meat and vegetable and Alhumdulillah with our high food turnover, the ingredients are very fresh. Also, at Golden Dynasty, the Owners are involved on a daily basis with everything from prepping food, making sauces, cleaning and serving. I humbly request as I have in the past to everyone who leave a less satisfying review to please at least bring the issue with the owner or wait staff to give us a chance to either correct the problem/complain or at least be aware of our customer's feedback before it is published for the world to see. Also, since we have never had beef/chicken US especially in a Chinese restaurant, we have to go by our Chinese chef's requirements for the cuts of the meat & chicken & vegetable. We do not have a Mexican guy making our food but a proper Chinese chef with over 30 years of experience including five years in China at Disney's Epcot. Jazak-Allah Khairan, Ahmed |

★★★★☆ I am long time customer of GD. I personally know 1 of the owners very well. I always find my visit here to be pleasant. The employees are all very respectable to all customers muslim or not. The food is very tasty as well. My only complaint is that the prices of the food have remained the same over the years while the portion sizes have drastically decreased. I understand everyone is having a hard time in this tough economy but that is no reason to reduce portion sizes while keeping the same prices. Go to any non-halal chinese restaurant and the prices are reasonable too but the portion sizes are standard based on take out box size and a lot bigger than GD's. Hope this 1 issue gets resolved. ★★★★★ I was visiting from Virginia with my parents and stumbled upon this well decorated, humble staffed restaurant. The variety of food that was offered was above any expectation I ever had. Not only was the customer service top notch, but the food was delicious as well. I ordered a few items from both the cuisines and just felt the urge to keep on eating!! I have NEVER had food that just tasted that amazing. I swear that if I ever am back in Florida, I will eat at this place day in and day out! Wish they could open an office in VA =) Trust me and please try it out once, you WILL want to go back! ;) Posted on July 23, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ Items Ordered: Hot n Sour Soup, House Manchurian Noodles, House Fried Rice, Shrimp and Vegetable.
All were ordered Spicy
I have to say as a notification that those who pointed the meals as being greasy and bland are most certainly wrong, that bias might be on my part for ordering all the meals spicy, but I assure you the above meals certainly had their individual tastes.
To start with the Hot n Sour soup was rather well made, spicy to the tongue and a generally well put together meal. The house rice and noodles too were rather appealing and the use of de-veined shrimp certainly caught my eye. The downside however is the lack of properly steamed vegetables, their broccoli was a touch solid more than soft but other than that it was definitely a good meal.
There was also an issue with the rice which definitely should be mentioned. Apparently all meat dishes come with a bowl of rice on the side, which they stated was already written on the menu. I being the customer didn't notice this particular part and ended up ordering the fried rice in addition to the plain rice.
The service was superb, servers/waiters (whichever you prefer) were there checking to make sure the meals were alright and the timing was even better.
Ways to improve: Definitely notify the customers that there are bowls of rice with the meat dishes (whichever ones they are)
Better steamed vegetables which make the meal all the more enjoyable.
Other than that this was a rather enjoyable restaurant which I do recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced delicious meal.
I will be frequenting this restaurant once more this week so we'll see if the food is better or worse than what I've experienced today. Posted on July 2, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ ...i am a seasoned golden dynasty patron visiting this restaurant for a number of years..however as of late things have been sliding towards the downside..one very recent visit.i had placed an order for an entree and was told by my server.."that one is not very good..i would'nt recommend it"..i was flabbergasted..i kindly requested it again saying i would like to give it a try..the server reluctantly wrote it down..then walked over to the kitchen, had a conversation and came back out stating.."that dish is not available as we don't know how to make it since the owner is not here"..then proceeded to point out items that are available..you can draw your own conclusions as to how "freshly prepared" the food is and what it really means by "chef recommendations"..the item i requested by far was no more difficult or challenging then the next item on the list..i feel this was more or less..the cook/kitchen staff not wanting to be "bothered" to make a special (fresh) meal for a regular customer and would rather "zap and nuke" something else and send me on my way..at least this is the impression i got..in the earlier years i don't believe this was the norm or ever occured to me..perhaps these days..times have changed..the previous dinner time experiences were much more appealing...i can go on and on like for instance how the chicken tandoor tikka is no longer served on a sizzling hot plate on bed of onions but instead on a plain white porcelein plate (out of a microwave) etc..but you get the point!..i hope the owner can turn this place around and restore it's glory years..still a good chinese place..just not the best anymore. First of all, I sincerely apologize for the server not wanting to recommend an item. Maybe it is was more of a communication issue as maybe the server was trying to suggest a better and more popular entrée. The owner don't cook there the Chefs do. We have stopped severing one of two items from our previous Chinese menu but sometimes people are still insistent not realizing that they were taken off for a reason. They try really hard and do a wonderful job for us pleasing 100s of customers a week. Second, we never served our Tandoori Chicken on a sizzling hot plate!! And it comes to our customers straight from the Tandoor and NEVER sees the microwave. In fact, none of the food at GD ever goes in the Microwave except for the Egg roles which go in for 30 seconds before being fried.
I would really love to take you back into our kitchen and show you the process of how our food is cooked fresh and how hard working my staff is.With our turnover, Almudulillah we run of our things very quickly for the food to be not fresh. Please contact me on my cell phone 407-414-1985 if you ever decide to try us again and have any issues with the food or service. Jazakallah Khair, Ahmed |

★★★★★ golden dynasty has exceptional food and service. i strongly recommend for quality halal food. it doesn't kill your wallet but leaves you satisfied. on my many trips to golden dynasty i never once encountered what the guy under me is mentioning. Its possible that it may have been very busy and he didn't get the full potential of golden dynasty but to make false accusations as such is just wrong. Islam does not teach us to act with haste towards others. Alhumdulilah that he is seeking halal food. But Islam is not to only eat halal food. Their is more. I as a fellow muslim brother wish for him to find his right path to the path of allah. And thank you to the owners of golden dynasty for providing us with great halal food that we can all enjoy. ★★★★★ We had orange chicken, chilli chicken and vegetable soup. The quality for everything was superb! The quantity is at least 2.5 portions each! My wife likes orange chicken but this is the first time I loved it too. All this food and tea totalled to just $25, which was unbelievable as I am from the dc metro area. ★★★★★ Excellent food. Very professional people. First Desi place where they did not charge for forgetting one dish though still brought it.
Quality of food was above average for halal. Chinese.
They only need to improve. Hot and sour soup Too. Sour ??
Only people with kids need to learn to keep place quiet to respect others By keeping their kids quiet not restaurant 's problem. Posted on December 28, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Masha-Allah, a very nice restaurant with very good food. As many others have said, it's basically a Chinese restaurant with real Chinese cooks (with some desi items also on the menu) run by two Pakistani brothers. I've eaten a few times at the restaurant and also used their catering service for my engagement ceremony. The owners (I've spoken at length with the younger of the two brothers) strike as me good, honest people who care about the customers and the food they serve. The only negative comment I have is that their food is a tad bit on the spicier side, but other than that, I've liked most things I've tried there. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you're in the mood for some real desi and real Chinese food. Posted on December 5, 2009 |

★★★★★ Dates visited: March and Nov 2009
Location: about 15 minutes from Disney World
Parking: lots of space in the strip mall.
Experience: Very courteous staff. Loved the food on both visits. The highlight was definitely the Crispy Beef, very unique and comes with a nice sweet and sour sauce. Also had Chillie chicken and chicken low mein, both were great. Since I'm from Pakistan, the spiciness of the food was just right for me but some of the dishes marked spicy/hot may be a bit too much for some of our Arab friends!. The wait was not long and the eating area clean. Bathrooms were clean as well. I asked about space for Salaat and was told that there is an area in the back that they allow customers to use, which was good to know.
OVERALL: after two visits, about 7 months apart, I was very satisfied with the place and would love to visit again. Posted on November 11, 2009 |

★★★★★ Long story short. my wife and I were in Melbourne, FL and drove all the way to Orlando to eat here. It was well worth the drive. ★★★★★ For any halal foody out there, local or a visitor to the area, this is a not to be missed place to try out. We have ate here before and it beats the pants off any other halal place in Orlando including those near Disney. The place is compact, clean (I won't say this for other orlando halal places) and down to earth, with courteous staff who are welcoming and really efficient. As frequent UK visitors to the area, we must eat at this place. The food is EXCELLENT! no exaggeration. We ate so much yesterday, and the staff were more than happy to pack what we left, in large, clean and sturdy containers ($80 for 4 starters, 4 mains, sides and drinks!!!). Mr Lee the chef came out to ensure everything was OK, and when we complimented him on one of his delicious chicken dishes, he even offered to make another portion for us to take home with us for FREE!! Golden Dynasty chinese is truly precious and we were served with a smile, we ate and laughed a lot, my children enjoyed eating there and we left the place with a big smile on our faces. Keep doing what you are doing and may allah reward you for your genuine and quality efforts!! Posted on August 6, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ I have received Basmati rice in the past from other Chinese restaurants for the Chinese Fried rice and the rice tasted great. We use that in making Chinese fried rice at home. Basmati rice makes anything taste better even Spanish rice. I have to respectfully decline that reasoning from the owner - Mr. Faruqui. I feel the owners should use at least jasmine rice but not the American long grain rice. My family has spent allot of money at this place and it is a shame to see restaurants stop doing something that makes their food taste so GOOD. At the end, the owner is basically lowering their quality and trying to bring up a feeble attempt for an excuse. Jasmine rice is used quite heavily by the Chinese and all other Orientals all across the world and is sold in all Asian-Oriental grocery stores. That's the type of rice should be used in an authentic Chinese restaurant. If you cater to Muslims then you should use Basmati rice because that is what they are familiar with. I have to agree with the others? Posted on March 19, 2009 |
This is in response for the last few complains regarding the rice. We do not serve basmati rice as they are not good to be eaten with Chinese food and especially chop sticks. Our food is not Desi Chinese like in India/Pakistan. Our food is like any other Chinese in US prepared by Chinese chefs using Halal meat and no pork! We do have a few fusion dish prepared by our Chinese chef using Indian/Pakistani spices and you can order anything with more spices. As for the owner being rude to the staff, I apologize to the customer who claims that. We Have had the restaurant for 5 years now and we treat our employees with great respect and haven't had a complain yet. If you feel something is not right, please bring it to our attention at the very moment and we will try our best to correct it Inshallah! |

★★☆☆☆ OWNER WAS VERY RUDE TO WORKERS. WE NOTICED THIS THE WHOLE TIME THERE. THE LADY WHO HELPED US WAS GREAT....SHE'S NOT MUSLIM BUT RESPECTS IT MASHALLAH.
THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. THE PRICES ARE FINE, SOME PORTIONS WERE NOT UP TO PAR. BUT THE TASTE WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL. Posted on February 6, 2009 |
The owners of GD are not rude! They are from a very respected family of Orlando. The Lady who served you is Alhumdulillah Muslim who has been a server at Golden Dynasty for over six years. We are sorry that you did not like the food but we are never rude to our employees and treat them like family as our religion wants us to. |

★★★☆☆ I was couple of time last week with my family.
The food is ok but it is true (as mentioned by anathor member) that they dont server basmati rice. So the rice dishes without good quality rice was bad even though the taste was ok. Owner seems to be a nice guy and much better than the owner of Halal chat house who was rude. Posted on January 7, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ Went there during Ramadan, food was not good. Fried rice smelled "fishy" and were cooked with regular american long grain rice. Looks like they do not use Jasmine or Basmati rice any more, the financial crisis must have got to them too. Ain't gonna go again. Posted on October 29, 2008 |
We never used basmati rice for our chinsese entrees. We use a combination of Long Grain rice and Jasmine. For Biryani, we use basmati rice. Did you complain about the rice that smelled fishy? If so, were you taken care of by your waiting staff? I would really like to know how your situation was handled. I take pride in the quality of the food and service of my staff and would love to get feedback. Regards, Ahmed |

★★★★☆ Took my family for a combination of chinese and desi food. The chinese dishes (lo mein and beef fried rice) were good, but not spectacular. if you don't ask for spicy or "medium", be prepared for blandness. the chicken tikka masala was decent and the naan was good. service was so-so, with just one person, maybe the owner, doing everything for us and the rest ignoring us. no sign of the forced 20% gratuity for our party of 5 (4.5 really). ★★★☆☆ The atmosphere is okay but overall appears clean and a place where you can bring your family for a meal...The menus are filthy (doubt ever cleaned) and there is no discription of any of the items...you just have to ask...The service is very good and fast...The food is good to very good for a halal chinese...but very average for a typical hometown chinese...(it's not a JP Changs)...the thing that erked me is that I was hit a 20% automatic gratuity b/c there were 6 in the party...four adults and two kids (4 and 2) who barely ate...this was not even listed in the menu....when asked...the owner? said that this is allowed in Orlando....This policy was not stated and it appeared to contived ...I abhore dishonesty and I feel this was being dishonest not disclosing their policy upfront. Posted on November 25, 2007 |
We have a sign saying that we will add 15% to party of 6 or more and also it is on the front page of the menu. However, it is never 20%. Also, I offered this lady to have the gratuity removed or lowered from 15 to 10% but she liked the service and the food and decided to pay the final bill. Only Allah knows that I will shut down this business before being dishonest about 5% of a check that goes to my servers. |

|
★★★★☆ The food here was good. When we stayed in Orlando for a week, we came here 3 or 4 times but partly because there are not many decent alternatives. The decor is uninteresting, tired, dated and almost non-existant but even now, I still yearn for their chicken jalfrezi. So far as chinese dishes, we only tried the chicken shanghai which was not bad nor particularly memorable. Oh yes, they certainly knew how to do fresh naan breads ! To conclude overall though, definitely 2 thumbs up from me and my wife ! Posted on November 21, 2007 |

★★★★★ Wonderful restaurant. I go here often ad the food is consistently up to par. The service is friendly and the owner down to earth. They try hard to meet your needs. Unlike most halal places the Golden Dynasty is always impeccably clean and have cute decor. You absolutely can't beat their crispy chicken, their garlic beef or their hot and sour soup. They also have the tastiest desi food around very yummy seekh kabob. This picky eater gives golden dynasty and all of it's employees a two thumbs up!!! Posted on November 20, 2007 |

★★★★★ I was going through the reviews and was surprised to see the last three negative reviews. I have been going to this restaurant for the past 6 years and the food is better now then ever!! The prices have gone up like the rest of the restaurants so I guess they are in the business to make money!! Food is great, service is great never have to wait for food for more then 20 to 25 minutes! Most gora restaurants are 45 minutes wait outside and then atleast 30 minutes to bring the food!! There is not a single restaurant in town with that many positives! I go to GD at least twice a week once for my 1 star Honey Garlic/Mongolian Beef and once for my Chicken Bihari and Nihari. Best naans in town too!! Oh, and if something is not right, TELL them and they will make it right! The owner serves along with Kristina adn they are wonderful!! Posted on November 6, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ This place used to be great, but lately food has been horrible. It is cold, seems like the food is pre cooked and they just stick it in the micorwave to warm it. ★☆☆☆☆ HORRIBLE food. I don't know even if they understand how to cook. Tasteless, OILY and VERY PRICY. Had bad experience the first time so we gave them a chance and tried the second time hoping to get better food. We were disappointed again. So if you like to waste your money and time and on the top of that have awful food then go there. Posted on September 21, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ After reading all the reviews for this place we went to check it out and had a horrible experience. We have gone there a few times to give the place a chance but it has been terrible each time. Bad service, rude waiters and stale old food! I don't think we will ever be going there again. Since dinner was so bad we decided to try the dessert so we ordered a falooda and it was just pretty much Vanilla ice cream which took them 30 minutes to make! I don't understand why people go here when there are much better restaurants in the area! Posted on September 9, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ I've ate here many times. It's hard to get fresh food here though. One advice I would say is to go there on the weekend, that's the only time I've had fresh food there. ★★★☆☆ This place used to be wonderful under the previous owners. Now the prices have gone up and the flavor diminished. The new owners and waitresses are extremely irritating and don't know the difference between being friendly and being pushy. Also the level of spice is unpredictable. Sometimes "medium" burns your mouth and other times you barely taste the flavor. Not something I would go out of my way for. Posted on March 9, 2006 |

★★★★☆ Crispy chiken was great but u better have a sturdy stomach to eat here.. I came down bad. Some of their items are breaded before time so they can be cooked up in a hurry. ★★★★★ Amongst the best tasting Desi-Chinese . During our week stay ,went in Three times .Excellent food ,reasonably priced .Highly recommended tops are Hot & Sour soup & orange chicken. I personally peeked in the kitchen to find Chinese cooks supervised by Muslim owner. There is a room for improvement in the Decor. Posted on December 31, 2004 |

★★★★☆ Excellent food, but don't count on finding a proper place to pray there . . . we ended up spreading a picnic sheet near a garbage tin behind the restaurant as our prayer place. Posted on July 22, 2004 |

★★★★★ Almost authentic but very delicious and that's what counts. Favorite is Qublai Chicken, Crispy Chicken, and Boti Kabobs. Oh, BTW, they now serve food in clean white china and very colorful water goblets :) Claudia is the best server. Posted on July 10, 2004 |

★★★★★ Great experience everytime. I came here last year after I came to know about it through zabihah.com. It was a fantastic experience. This time I am here for a week for a meeting and we have already been there twice!! I took one of my colleagues there as well and his family loved it too. I was afraid that the food might be too spicy for them. However, they cooked the food just the way they wanted, retaining the authenticity of original chinese culinary experience intact. Falooda for desert was very good. Prices are reasonable. Have and would always recommends this place to my friends and family. Posted on June 6, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ About as much atmosphere as the moon. Food arrives on polystyrene plates and with plastic knives and forks. Food has an odd taste to it (perhaps caused by the plates). Not impressed. Posted on June 5, 2004 |

★★★★☆ Food is served in polystyrene plates and plastic forks - food is priced high even for carry out. Chinese food is authentic and good and service too. Choice of Indian food menu is limited but good. Try Bihari kababs. Indian food is not served as the chef is of every Tuesday. I do thank the owners for catering halal food, may Allah reward them.
