★☆☆☆☆ This place used to carry Abu Adnan hand cut chicken but not anymore. They carry restaurant depot chicken. I will not be eating there until they carry 100% Zabiha halal from a verified source Posted on August 14, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ We have always enjoyed at this restaurant and believe the food is one of the best. The staff and owner keep saying they serve hallal BUT, even after being in business for over two years and ever after several suggestions and requests they have still not put up any sign that confirms they are serving halal. Recently a friend even commented that they keep a few boxes of halal meat/poultry but also non-halal. Considering this is owned by non-muslim, have not put up signs that would bind them legally, I for one will insha'Allah not visit this place anymore until they formally declare that they are serving halal. ★★★★☆ We were invited to this restaurant for dinner by some friends and when we got there our friends had already ordered a variety of items from the menu so we did not have to wait long before the food was served. Also, our friends are regular patrons of this restaurant so they most probably get preferential treatment. I must say that the food was really well prepared and it was real chinese in taste. ★☆☆☆☆ I decided to give this place a try despite a couple of horrible reviews. However, I didn't even try the food, as the service was terrible. The restaurant was empty, and my wife and I entered the restaurant behind a family of 6. The family was greeted kindly and seated. My wife and I (after waiting) got a sort of grunt or something from the lady behind the counter indicating that we should seat ourselves. Okay. So we sat for maybe 10 minutes while she was on the phone with someone who was placing an order. When she finally wrapped this up, she started working on paperwork. My wife and I finally decided to leave. I told the woman to have a nice day on the way out and she didn't say anything at all. When we left the restaurant, absolutely no one had received even a water, had their order taken, etc. We went right across the parking lot to Al Medina and had a great brunch. Do yourself a favor and avoid Royal Bamboo - the negative reviews are the rule, not the exception. Posted on November 1, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ WORST PLACE EVER! I was a regulad customer for this place, i went yesterday and i complained about the fish because it smelled and it was gone bad. The owner yelled at me in front of everyone and insulted my friends and i, and you wont believe he said that he doesnt need my or my friend's buisness anymore. This was not the way to be treated. The owner is not muslim and he is an alcholic. I will never go there again! :@ Posted on June 22, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ We went to this place on Sunday May 11th at around 9:30 PM. The place was full and there were people waiting to find a table. This place is heavily under staffed. There were only 2 staff members working there and they were busy taking orders, serving etc. we waited for 5-10 mins and no one came to talk to us. so when we saw the guy come out of kitchen, we went inside and asked him for a table. he told us to wait a few mins. The people who were already waiting, got a table after 20 more mins. we kept on waiting and after 30 more mins had passed, we tried to talk to them again to see how much more time we would have to wait. This time, we politely asked the second person (chineese woman) that we had been waiting for 40 mins and how much more time before we could get a table. Believe it or not, she immediately started yelling at us! we were shocked. She was obviously having a bad day and was unable to run the business. The other person (chineese guy), seemed liked a better person, came out and saw her yelling at us in front of the whole restaurant and then they both started arguing with each other in chineese language. Then they told us that they were unable to serve us and the cook in the kitchen was not accepting any more orders. At that point, it was enough for us and we left. we wasted about an hour at that place waiting and at the end they were unable to serve us! and above all, they were rude and yelled at us. That is not how you run a restaurant business and treat your customers.
The people who were lucky enough to find a table were also struggling to get service. i saw a number of people complaining about not getting their food for an hour, someone was trying to get water refill, and how some had to go home so their kids could go to school next day.
This was the worst experience of our lives and we will never go back to this place again.
UPDATE: So we decided to try this place again. I guess one should never say never. This time, the place was not crowded and they were able to server us properly. In fact, this time, the service was pretty good.
we tried their hot n sour soup, chicken with cashews and mongolian beef. everything tasted good. the only thing that we didnt like so much was chicken manchurian.
this is more of a traditional authentic chineese style restaurant and not a typical desi chineese. over all, we liked it and will go back for more.. Posted on June 19, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I came in last night and the restaurant had received another large party right before us. We asked if they would be able to serve us and they said it would not be a problem. We sat down and waited. 10 minutes went by and we had not received our menus. I saw a stack of menus behind the desk, so I grabbed some and started looking. 15 more minutes went by and no one attended to us. I went by the kitchen to ask what was going on and was yelled at and told to sit back down. We waited 10 more minutes and still no one came. We decided to leave and then the waitress noticed and came to us and was like, are you going to order. We sat there for nearly 35 minutes without any service. She was also not apologetic in any way, shape, or form. I am not sure about the food, but the service needs some serious work. Posted on April 8, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Great place that just opened up in the Norcross area; they have a large selection and it's not just your typical desi style chinese food; the food is well prepared and given in decent portions; the service is great and people working there are very nice; we ordered multiple dishes all of which were fantastic; first time i had a decent halal chinese option in atlanta that was not desi style chinese..even though they have that as an option on their menu along with a few thai choices as well; will definitely go back Posted on December 14, 2013 |
