★★★★★ Firstly they have a visible halal sign in the window which they are proud of, they said it took them 8 months or so to obtain. We were told they were the first halal Malay restaurant in the city and have won awards for their food.
The ambiance and decor was pretty nice, service was good and the food was great.
We ordered the Roti Canai (the nan which is like a parata is very good), Satay Chicken, Malay Curried Wings, Tom Yam With Chicken or Shrimp, Crispy Fried Chili Chicken, Rendang Beef, Lamb Curry & Sushi (Maki Combo C). The food was delicious, the starters come with 4 pieces of each item. For dessert we had banana fritters and the ochi ochi (amazing)

★★★★★ I am from Singapore and having being away from home for close to 3 weeks made me miss home.
Rasa did an excellent job in curing that. The food was amazing, very authentic and the portions were very generous (too generous in fact). I had the Lemak Chili Padi Chicken - a yellow gravy made from coconut, tumeric and other spices while my wife had the Pad Thai Chicken. We regretted our decision on not sharing one dish because the portions were made for two. But the food was really good.
The wait staff were very attentive and service was excellent. The interior was warmly lit with soft music which adds a nice touch.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Posted on June 3, 2015 |

★★★★★ Excellent and authentic Malay food. I was amazed to find this in NYC, usually you have to go to Asia for this type of quality. All dishes are halal and no pork is served. Clean/inviting restaurant (including restrooms) and the area is also great so you can make this your starting (or ending) point when in the city. Posted on February 18, 2017 |
