★★★★★ We were assured on 2 separate occasions that the food was zabiha halal. This is a small place near time square, and the food is very good and good value for money.
We went during a storm so we were the only ones there, the customer service was great.
We ordered roticanai (this was served with a naan which had the consistency and taste of a parata - very delicious), lollipop chicken, chicken satay, golden coconut fried shrimp as appetizers - there were 4 pieces per order. For the entrees we ordered chicken panang curry (which was flavorsome), crispy basil chicken (which by far was the winner), beef short rib (good value for money for the hunk of meat we got), and mango salmon.

★★★★★ Whilst on our New York holiday, we went to this restaurant. It is very small but the food is excellent. We ordered the crispy duck and grinder chicken. But the fried coconut ice cream was the star. Posted on October 26, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ Well our experience was mixed at this place:
- Decoration was nice. I liked the lamp designs very much.
- Do they really have to display all those rows of bottles of alcohol in a halal place? Made me uncomfortable to even see them there.
- We got the dinner special $17 for full course. The caveat was the server was refusing to take one order for two of us! She made us order an appetizer/salad which wasn't nice.
- Soup is small, salads were tasty.
- Main course was bad! We got pad thai chicken as far as I remember and the chicken smelled. :( Not pleasant for a place which such so called fame!
- Coconut ice cream was really really good! Seemed to have bean made from fresh coconut, it was just fantastic!
- Worst of all was the waiter starring at us from the moment we stepped in until we left. It was very uncomfortable how she was staring. Being ready to serve is one thing and staring is another.
So overall rather mixed experience. Posted on January 5, 2014 |
