★★★★☆ Halal sign outside restaurant and also verbally confirmed by restaurant staff. This restaurant was always busy when we walked past, even queuing outside on some occasions so we decided to give it a try. The first time we visited they said they were full (despite there being many empty tables) so we went to another restaurant across the street. The second time we visited we went early evening and had no problem getting a table. The third time we visited we phoned ahead to book a table but when we arrived they first denied we had made a reservation, and then blamed the junior staff member who took our reservation over the phone, saying they shouldn’t have taken the reservation as the restaurant was full. Long story short, they eventually seated us outside even though it was raining. Despite the problems getting a table 2 out of 3 times we visited the service was prompt and the food tasty. On balance I would probably return but only because if there was any problem getting a table I would instantly go to one of the other equally good if not better restaurants in the same street.
