★☆☆☆☆ Very poor food quality. We ordered shezan's special seekh kabab and chicken quorma. Kababs were simply a nightmare. They were atleast a couple of days old, trust me I'm not exaggerating. Quroma was just ok, it wasn't of any good quality either but was fine enough to soothe our hunger.
They must improve their quality if they want to stay in business. Posted on June 6, 2015
★★★★☆ very good home cooked style food. love their bihari kabab especially . I have been to their lunch buffet many times - much better than your average lunch buffet. I have always found their staff is polite and friendly. Posted on May 16, 2014
NR They serve alcohol on premises. They even have their own brewery.
I was there a week ago. Whenever I visit a restaurant I always ask them
whether they serve alcohol before eating Zabiha. They brought a one pager
printed menu for alcohol.
It is very inconspicuous but they do serve alcohol. It is not on the main
menu but it is a separate pager.
The specific beer they were touting about was called Hoppy Ending. It has
from a brewery in Palo Alto owned by the Son (Qasim Syed if I remember the
name correctly) of the lady owner.
I just want brothers/sisters to know about it when they go there for Zabiha
food. Posted on November 6, 2011
★★☆☆☆ Went here for dinner tonight. The food was ok and service was prompt. The place was packed on a Friday evening. The tandoori items were good, as was the karahi chicken and nihari. This place serves alcohol. Until they stop selling alcohol on- site, I cannot recommend this place to other halal eaters. Posted on October 30, 2010
NR The food is great, less oil and home style cooking taste makes it even better.
I would definitely recommend lunch buffet ! Posted on September 28, 2010
★★★★☆ I found out about this place by just noticing it while walking along Castro st. in Downtown Mt. View. Told two of my coworkers about it and we went there for lunch yesterday. They just opened earlier this month so the place was understandably dead at prime lunch hour.
There were no obvious signs of the food being halal so I asked the waiter and he assured me that everything was halal. After I got my food from the buffet the owner's wife came up to me and also assured me that everything is halal.
The food was not too spicy or greasy which seems to have become standard at the Shans/Shalimars/Kabob-n-Curries etc. This restaurant also departs from other Pakistani restaurants in it's attention to cleanliness and decor.
The buffet only costs 9.99. It's great to have yet another halal option in downtown Mt. View. Would definitely go back. Posted on June 16, 2010
