★★★★★ We were visiting Montreal and I found this place through Zabiha.com and decided to give it a try based on raving reviews. I am so happy that I did :) this place deserves all these reviews and more. It's a small shop with limited seating, nothing fancy but the food is AMAZING. The moment you enter the shop, you can smell fresh meat being grilled on charcoaland you see your food cooked right in front of you. We ordered Fillet mignon, chicken shish taouk, shish kebab and Tikka irani and everything was excellent. The meats were well seasoned, moist and very flavorful The side of potatoes was lightly spicy and tangy. The platter came with grilled tomato, onions and pickle and a pita.
The owners are very kind and polite. They offered us complimentary baklava and it was amazing as well.
All in all, I will go back in a heart beat. Too bad I don't live close by. Highly recommended and a Must try. Posted on August 30, 2013 |

★★★★★ On a family trip to Quebec with the family. Was looking for some decent halal options and stumbled across NumNum through Zabihah. Best decision this whole trip. The food was amazing. Just entering the store you can smell the charcoal cooking the meat. Ordered a plate of filet mignon and a plate of chicken (there is also an option of kafta and another type of meat). Don't want to sound like i am exaggerating but this was the best middle eastern meal I have ever had (my wife agreed as well). Too bad we aren't from around town. Next time we are in Mtl we will def be checking this place out.
Only negative - it's not the nicest place to have a sit down meal, esp with family but that doesn't really matter as the food is just so damn good! Posted on July 4, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ The good
While visiting Montreal we came across this restaurant. Very friendly owner. They cook on real charcoal. The food is excellent and it is flavored well. We had assorted shwarmas and kabobs. All were cooked perfectly. They give you hummus and a garlic yogurt with it and a pita type of bread.
The bad.
The restaurant is discreet and doesn't have much of an area to sit in. Also the restaurant is very smoky because they use real charcoal. Maybe 4-6 can sit at most.
The ugly
They have some outdoor seating for maybe 10 people. They have a few benches outside. Unfortunately it is filthy outside and they have pigeons all around you and droppings all over the place.
Definitely great food but only for take out. Posted on May 26, 2014 |
