★★★★★ Ordered biryani, seekh kabab and bihari kabab and each item was better than the one before amazing food loved this place, wait time is a bit long but totally worth it ;) could improve their customer service but oh well, desi restaurants rarely ever have decent customer service so i guess i should just get used to it now Posted on February 16, 2015 |

★★★★☆ We ordered about a dozen orders of chicken Biryani for a bunch of who were taking a workshop class. The food was amazing and very tasty. Will definitely visit again. Posted on October 21, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I don't know if you guys have been here recently but the service truly sucks with a capital S. The food is a bit better than average and that is to be expected from most take out places.
I am not writing this out of spite but I ordered Chicken Biriyani and a few other items OVER an hour ago as it is a takeout place and I didn't want to wait (from past experience). So I get there casually within the hour and i wait .. and i wait and i WAIT for almost another hour in the little store and I find other people piling up just like me who did the same. At this point the store is crowded enough where people are breathing down your neck.
So a lady comes from the back and apologizes for the Biriyani not being available for another 30 - 45 mins. I mean are you kidding me ? You could have saved a lot of people a trip before they came over and got the bad news in person. Don't set any expectations on time if you cannot deliver on time. She even had the audacity to offer Lamb Biriyani for people who did not want to wait and charged them the $1.99 difference... LOL. As cheap as it gets folks.
This is going to be my last time at this place after this amazingly ridiculous service. These guys should take some classes in customer service besides saying sorry. Sometimes saying "Sorry" just isn't good enough!
P.S. There's a mistake on the restaurant info on top as the Dixie location does NOT take Credit Cards, only Debit or Cash. Posted on May 7, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Their biryani is nice but the Dixie location does not carry boneless biryani which is a shame. Also, their kababs while good, are not the greatest. This is not a place to come for any kind of curries. You can probably make far better butter chicken and karhai at home. So, basically if you are a biryani lover and dont mind biryani with bones, this is a really nice place to grab some food. Posted on January 26, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Used to love this place and then I dont know what has happened here but all of sudden since they re-modelled their store something has happened. The wait is now exceptionally long and the the young girl serving as cashier is clueless...please go back to your old style and bring back the service. Posted on November 22, 2011 |

★★★★★ This is the place where you get taste and quantity at real affordable prices.
Personal Recommendations:
Chicken Biryani
Fried Fish (the best of all)
Reshmi Kabab
don't bother with the desserts, except kheer which is the only dessert that seemed fresh.
overall. its the best take out place of its kind around town. Posted on March 20, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Great place for a Biryani. I have tried many biryanis, but Karachi Kitchen is THE biryani place. I have been to this place for years and years, that the owners know me by name now LOL.
I tried their other food as well, but I will only recommend Chicken Biryani, Fried Fish and Reshmi/Bihari Kabab. Everything else is just ordinary and not their specialty. Posted on July 29, 2010 |

NR BEST NIHARI EVER!!! Naan is really good to. The biryani is not the best, but still good. Posted on February 27, 2008 |

★★★★★ Have been going to this place for 3 years. Highly suggest the following:
1) Nihari
2) Chicken Biryani
3) Veal Biryani
4) Bihari Kebab Posted on September 23, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ I went for the *famous* biryani, it turned out to be just OK. One plate serves 2. Much more rice than chicken! Haven't return back for it so you can imagine. I also tried nihari, it sucked and seemed old as well. Trust your instincts when buying as no food is on display. Posted on March 27, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ Very disappointed, purchased Tandoori Chicken leg when home and the chicken meat was totally uncooked. I personally believe that this place keep items half done to serve their customers faster but in my situation, they forgot to final cooking steps. My suggestion would be to check you food before you leave by asking the person at the front to show by using the food thermometer. This is not the first time it happened, few months back I purchased the chicken biryani. The chicken was boiled meat no spice nothing hidden under the rice. They should change its name to boiled chicken and spicy rice. Posted on February 19, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ The food quality is very moody and i think it just depends what day of the week you're going to eat @ Karachi Kitchen. Some days you might be going on the last day when the item was about to be thrown in trash and others you might find it above average. But in the list of eat outs i will have to rank it low just because of the uncertainty of the food quality. Once my sister had catering done through them the haleem sent was bad and started stinking the same night it was catered. That was disgusting. Posted on February 11, 2007 |

★★★★★ Excellent Chicken Biryani. 1 plate is good for 2. Hats off to the chef Posted on December 21, 2006 |

★★★★☆ The food was pretty good. Biryani was a little bit dry, but everything else was pretty acceptable. Quantity was pretty good. Posted on September 5, 2006 |

★★☆☆☆ I thought this resturant would be good, because of the reviews. I have tried it before it was not bad. I went to take out a few kababs and naaan...boy was that a mistake. First it did not smell that great (hint to self) so i said it just might be me..! I ate it..the next morning i had the worse stomach ever... i lived in the bathroom...and gravol was my best friend for the day. I'am so turned off by the smell of their kabab which was poorly made (i think the meat was stale and rotten). They just lost my business! So Order kababs at your own risk. Posted on May 19, 2006 |

★★★★★ The owner, "Choudhry Mateen" Khan is the famous food caterer of Karachi (the first& original Pakwan Center)and has been in the food business for over 20 years. He runs multiple restaurants, food catering businesses, both in Toronto and Karachi.
The guy is famous for Buryani, Qorma, Nihari, Kebabs, and other specialty items. He has on several ocassions catered to our parties and everyone seemed to love his catered food.
As long as Ch. Mateen is incharge, you can bet on his quality. Go ask for him! Posted on May 3, 2005 |

★★★★★ Its not a eat in place! They have couple of seats available but not where you want to eat in. They should change their name to BARYANI KITCHEN because the price and quanity is amazing. The taste (lil spicy) is even better! Two people can somewhat eat out of one order. Posted on April 23, 2005 |
