★☆☆☆☆ Do not eat here. Poor quality of food, bad service and very rude staff. Recently attended a birthday function and was very disappointed and disgusted at the rude service. We had to wait in a extremely long line to get food for the buffet. My mother, a diabetic, requested to the manager to bypass the line as her sugar levels were dropping and she needed to eat. Instead of being sympathetic the manager gave her a lecture and told her it was her fault. When i confronted the manager about his rude behaviour he was indignant and further lectured me on how diabetics should be prepared. "Prepared" in a restaurant where we have been invited to eat...how nonsensical.
Now back to the food. It was very poor quality and didn't even want to try most items in the buffet. The overall hygiene seem to be very poor as well. I tried some noodles, runny chilli chicken and kebab. Didn't finish the noodles and chilli chicken, had to eat something so had the inch kabab. Desserts were some cheap cakes and there was some syrupy canned mixed fruit and peaches. Not sure how they call this a restaurant. Posted on September 14, 2015 |

★★★★☆ This place is a very unique restaurant. Went here for an iftaar dawat in one of the few banquet rooms they have. The restaurant also a regular dining area, a 'grand' buffet and can accommodate mini-parties as well. Very unique set up for sure. When Maghrib was announced, they used the main fountain area for the prayers and its something I have never seen before in any other restaurant in North America. Prayer mats were set out, adhaan was called, a solid Imam actually lead prayers and close to 300 men and women (separated) prayed in congregation. That in itself gives this place huge plus points. Now for the food part. Yes, on a Saturday night it gets crazy but the buffet is laid out over a large area that line ups dont take too long. You need to be a bit buffet-savvy to know which place to go first so you dont have to wait so long. They have a variety of food, but I stuck with just 2 things: the chinese hakka food and the bbq food at the back. Both were amazing. The chili chicken, noodles, sweet & sour chicken, grilled shawarma, steak slices and chicken with wings were amazing. But the highlight, was the tender juicy lamb pieces they were giving out. Wasn't too happy with how much each person got, but it was cooked very well. They also had an enormous amount of dessert as well from ice cream, cakes and gulab jaman. I dont go out to eat Indian/Pakistani food, but if you are one that does, don't use this review to judge its quality because I never touched it. The servers and waitresses were friendly and helpful and always got our drinks and tea out at good times. The restaurant itself is clean and very nice looking with surprisingly a large amount of space. Not a big fan of the location as its hidden behind a mall, but does possess a lot of parking spaces back there too. People seem to be complaining about the food, but we never had that problems so you wont hear about 'microwaved food' here. You have to come here once to experience it and especially during iftaar. ★★☆☆☆ Most of their food was tasteless and not fresh. I'm giving it two stars only because the owner seemed like a nice and welcoming person. Sorry not going to return to this place in future. Posted on March 3, 2015 |

★★☆☆☆ Has a huge variety of food, but there's nothing which really stood out to me as delicious. It's nice for new ppl to try an all you can eat halal buffet but I would never go back Posted on January 8, 2015 |

★★★★☆ After reading so many reviews about Continental buffet I was extremely confused whether to take my guests there for dinner or not;
I did some research and some of my friends who have been there recently said positive things, here is my unbiased experience.
Called continental buffet to reserve a table for 10, phone was answered by the owner Ali Khan who was very polite and gentle, he advised that there is a Winter Offer of 19.99 instead of regular 21.99 and yes he will book the table for us.
When we reached the restaurant Ali was there supervising, when I mentioned about the booking he took us personally to the table and thereafter we were looked after by a young server who too had a very pleasant smile.
The food was delicious my guest were happy, no complaints all praises and the end was a lovely Pan made by another pleasant person.
Ali, thank you very much for serving great food. Posted on December 20, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Quantity NOT Quality. They have everything available but nothing really tastes that good. Posted on September 12, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ The first time I went to this restaurant, it was on a Saturday and I thought it was good. It was busy but I noticed there was very poor ventilation and the restaurant was actually smoky. They were also kind of slow cooking up the good stuff, such as the chicken kebabs and shawarma style chicken. Also they weren't fast enough when it came to replenishing the popular items. Nonetheless, it was average for a buffet style restaurant.
The next time I went, it was on a weekday. I thought why not, it seemed ok the first time. As soon as we walked in, I had a bad feeling. There were only 4 people in the restaurant and it was quiet. When I went to look at the food, it seemed like it was sitting there for days. But we were hungry after a long day and had guests with us from out of town. So we decided to stay..... how bad could it be?
This was my worst mistake ever at a restaurant . We got our food and when we started eating, we noticed some of the food was stale and actually cold! They had forgot to turn on one section of the buffet,so everything on that side was cold. The waitress came over and offered to heat up our food in the microwave.... Yes, I said microwave. If I wanted to do that, I guess I would have stayed home and done that myself! So as my face turned red with embarrassment in front of our posh out of town guests, the girl started running back and forth to the microwave with our plates....All while the female owner looked on. When it was time to pay, the WAITRESS suggested asking the owner for a discount because of the inconvenience. I thought sure why not, since it was a total disaster anyways. But when we mentioned it, the owner was actually rude and said that they can't do anything about it. So no discount, no apology and just plain rude.
Needless to say, it was a horrible experience. The restaurant is dirty, the front door looks like it has never been wiped, the baby chairs are filthy and sticky, and the food is cold and stale especially on weekdays. Unfortunately, we were invited to a party there again which I was not looking forward to at all. This time there was a hair in the pasta..... Soooo disgusting.... I usually don't write reviews, but this one was a must. Especially since the owners are rude, arrogant and think they are running some sort of upscale restaurant which it is definitely NOT.
Feel free to try it out, but look out for all the things mentioned above. Dine at your own risk..... That's all I have left to say. Posted on June 8, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Think: Small Mandarin restaurant full of Pakistani/Hakka food. That's what you get. It's clean and roomy. Family run business, and they try hard, you can see that they care. The food...is bland, slightly stale and not very good. Especially at $22 / plate (which is ridiculous). I wouldn't go here again, unless they drop prices significantly. Posted on March 21, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ First time I went to this place was last Ramadan, and was truly impressed, the food was great and the restaurant had a very professional outlook! Went back last week and it was almost as if we have ended up at a wrong place by mistake. The live BBQ is not so "live" anymore (they will bring one serving of bbq to the table and that’s it) rest of the food was cold and stale, the place was clearly understaffed and we were made to sit in a hall, which I guess they were using as a make shift storage, as they have kept their broken/old furniture on the side. Need less to say I was really disappointed with the whole experience, specially because this place had (or still has) a lot of potential. I really hope the owner/management pays attention to the feedback or else the fate of this place will be similar to a lot of other buffet places we have seen come and go in GTA. Personally, I do not plan on going back to this place anytime soon. Posted on January 19, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Really bad and stale food. Maybe they should specialize in a specific cuisine, instead of trying to do Pakistani, Hakka Chinese and Middle eastern under one roof. Posted on November 3, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I don't get all the negative reviews for this place. I've been going regularly since it opened and I have always found the variety and quality to be pretty good. If you are expecting to find food that you like more than your own mother's cooking, you are better off eating at home than going out to eat anywhere! And if you have a genuine complaint, tell the staff or the owner rather than rant online. Posted on October 28, 2013 |

★★★★★ This place was great! I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews, but the service was excellent and the food was fresh. I had a lunch there with my family, about 80 people! none of us had complaints and all had a great time. Posted on October 20, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ We had a dis-pleasure of going to this place in Mid October, i had been here once before and did not think much of the place back than.
This is a place which mostly offers Indian/Pakistani, Hakka Chinese & middle eastern food.
You enter into a restaurant and you say wow this is a really nice restaurant (caution don't be fooled). We were seated glasses on the table were mostly clean but one had a dried lipstick stain on it.
Now for the food, very tasteless and blend, seemed dishes were cooked long time ago so were not fresh nothing looked fresh with the exception of fried stuff and Chinese rice.
They had problem keeping the serving plates stocked, they kept on running out of food and people had to make several trips to get a one serving (This is the same problem we encountered when we went last time). When i complained i was told that everyone is going at the same time and people should be behave and give some time let others get what they want let us fill up and then others should go (this is what i got out of their logic and told them that this is a buffet and they should be prepared for this situation)
this place in my opinion is not good at all, save you money go to subway and enjoy your food. Posted on October 19, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ Update - went again post Ramadan and I must say things have gone way way downhill. The food wasn't being filled at all and the employees were quite dismissive about it. Only one dude working at the BBQ station and he seemed like he hated his job and was really not keeping up with the demand. The food I was able to get was really not good at all compared to last time. Extremely disappointed and I hope the owners smarten up and change their ways or I think this place will close down sooner rather than later.

Went during Ramadan and the place was quite busy, but I must say they kept up with the food supply quite well. Good mix of South Asian, Middle Eastern, Hakka and Canadian food. Unfortunately no Shawarma in the buffet the day we went but the Sish Taouk was quite good. We enjoyed the food and were quite satisfied. Looking forward to going back after Ramadan to sample more items. Posted on September 5, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Poor. We went there last weekend expecting a quality buffet and we were massively disappointed. Firstly, the food is extremely oily and is tasteless. The desi section had limited varieties, no butter chicken, no chicken karhai, and the chicken that was present as fully of greasy oil and quite frankly, tasted like frozen food. The desert was nice, fresh fruit, cakes and ice cream but for the amount we paid, we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. It seems like another average tasting desi buffet, where you are not going to be able to taste anything special. Posted on August 27, 2013 |

★★★★★ Have never seen such a grand halal buffet in Toronto. They have recently opened. The service was quick n food was great with lots of variety for everyone to enjoy...the dessert section too had lots of option...some were too good but some tasted stale...similarly on the main course some dishes like nihari, Chana etc seemed like they were there since brunch time....this is probably because its a new place n the turnout is low right now....the setup is huge and elegant.the paya curry, fried prawns, tiramisu, bar b q was deliciouswill definitely go again...
