★☆☆☆☆ I visited this place after having a bad experience at their Millcreek location. Quality and taste of food was terrible. On top of this they could not provide any proof that they serve Halal food. Left the place immediately empty stomach. Both locations are equally terrible. Will never go there again. ★☆☆☆☆ All my Muslim cummunity people...This restaurant Asian Wok is (NOT A HALAL PLACE)...My Family was there..have been told they ONLY serve Halal Meat ...after a while a SIKH person sat few table away from us..asking that he does not eat Halal Meat..to my surprise the waitress told him that they serve Halal only on request..WOW..what a shock to me & my family..i requested to see any HALAL MEAT purchase invoices...they do not have any to show..WHAT IS THIS MEAN ? They are upright lying to all Muslim by having HalaL SIGN displayed on the window cling..This is the true fact...i was so upset & left the place immediately..I urge all my Muslim Brothers & Sisters NOT TO GO TO THIS REST TO EAT AT ALL. ★★★★☆ Generally above average, with a few dishes that are really really great. General Tsao, Sweet and sour chicken, and manchurian beef are really good. Posted on August 2, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I go here often.
They always give a healthy serving size and the food never lacks taste...it's not always full of taste but it has never lacked taste for me.
It's not the best Hakka place in town but I would still recommend it as a secondary choice.
The service is good. Posted on September 15, 2011 |

★★★★★ What a wonderful treat, great hakah food just north of the airport! My wife and I eat here regularly. My wife's favorite is the General Tao chicken. For me, its the dumplings, chicken pakora, and hot and sour soup! We've spoken with the owners who indicate that all of their meat is halaal. Posted on March 12, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ We ordered take-out. Pretty good food. Try the crispy beef, sweet-n-sour chicken and kung pau chicken. The shrimp rice did not have much shrimp in it. Posted on July 9, 2008 |

★★☆☆☆ You will find many such Hakka Chinese restaurants in the GTA who are posting "Halal Meat Available" or "We serve Halal" signs outside their premises. Unsuspecting Muslim customers misinterpret these signs as Halal meat being served by default, not knowing that you have to "request" this when ordering and end up consuming non-zabihah meat. China Cottage in Scarborough has been misleading customers for many years with this trick, which has been documented in it's restaurant review. I would request the Muslim community to verify if the food being served is really halal before ordering and not assume this based on a misleading sign posted outside. Also, if a restaurant does serve halal "by request", you might want to question if it is really so as no restaurant would be maintaining separate dishes, pans, utensils for their Muslim customers who request halal food.
