The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status. From the management: 'Owners and management have confirmed that all steak, chicken and lamb options are halal. They have been serving the local Muslim community for years. They ask that you mention Halal when you arrive, so that they can make sure to not pork or alcohol to the dishes.'

★★★★★ We were in town visiting from Columbus, Oh, and were delighted when we realized Memphis had a restaurant serving halal beef tenderloin. It\'s not possible to get a nice cut of beef in Columbus despite there being more the 70 halal restaurants. The night we visited the waitress told us only the beef and lamb were ok for us to eat once we asked for halal options only. Chicken wasn\'t on the menu at the time. We were a party of three (myself, wife, and mother-in-law). I had the soup of the day (delicious), my wife and mother-in-law had the lump crabcakes (banging!), and we all had the beef tenderloin (so so so good!) as our entree. You\'ll easily spend $50 per person in your party, but you can literally taste the quality of the food. Posted on June 24, 2022 |

★★★★★ This has been a long time established restaurant in Memphis, & because the owners have a strong connection with some members of the Muslim community, they have decided to keep their meat halal.rnrnAccording to the owners, all of their chicken, beef/steak, and lamb is halal. It still helps if you let them know when you arrive, so that they can be especially aware about sprinkling bacon bits and alcohol. Once they know you are eating halal, they are very careful and respectful. All of the waiters instantly know when you mention halal.rnrnWe have had the soup and 2 different kinds of steak here, and it has been excellent. Definitely pricey, but it is worth it. Excellent food, and very nice cozy atmosphere. Worth a visit, especially for special occasions. Posted on September 19, 2021 |
