Part of the expanding Akbar's of Bradford chain, Akbar's Manchester specialises in the sizzling pan-cooked baltis from Baltistan, an extreme mountainous region North of Pakistan, served in a modern, contemporary setting. Added on April 9, 2007 and last updated 14 years ago
★★★☆☆ An overrated restaurant. Trendy in centre of Manchester. Nice facilities where food does not fit. Family sized naan on stand a show piece and a conversation starter. Starters are nice sheesh kebab and lamb chops best. Main meals are overrated for a posh setting. Definitely okay to take posh folk but don't ever take an Asian lol. Posted on April 22, 2013
★★★★★ I visited on a quiet day - the food was fantastic and the service was great. The king prawn masala has to be one of the best ive had! It has great atmosphere, extremely busy but worth it. Posted on September 3, 2012
★★★★☆ Really love the food. Hate the fact they make you wait by the bar for ages first. Staff can be a little rude sometimes, but if you ignore them, the food is worth it, especially the lamb chops and Akbar-e-balti Posted on February 22, 2011
★★★★★ very lively and posh establishment. big emphasis on the bar, though, when you enter. expensive, but a clear step up from curry mile eateries Posted on January 4, 2009
