The owners of this restaurant are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status. Only this outlet of Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken is reported to be halal. From the management: 'We are selling 100% halal chicken in our restaurant'

★★★★★ I came to Louisiana Fried Chicken today after reading such good reviews. They didn’t disappoint me! The fried chicken was absolutely delicious!!! 5-stars for taste, flavor and satisfaction. As what other reviewers have stated, the staff prepare halal orders separately and you have to wait a little longer because of that. But it is worth the wait. The halal menu is provided at the cashier, and it’s slightly more $ than the regular menu. Great place for getting take out meals, but not for having dinner with the family because of limited seating. I would definitely come again when I am around Culver City! Posted on July 2, 2018 |

★★★★★ I'm a visitor from Florida and this is the best fried chicken I have ever had! Chicken is made spicy which was perfect for me. However only a few items are halal and you have to request it. The order takes 30 minutes to prepare and they confirm using a separate fryer from non halal items. It is well worth the wait. Upon ordering they only had a few halal chicken breast that was remaining. So it is best to call beforehand to see if they have halal items available. I highly recommend this place. On a side note they charge extra for refills 😒 You're better off getting a can soda and then ask for a cup of ice. Posted on March 19, 2018 |

★★★★★ I have tried various fried chicken in california that are halal and this is by far the best tasting breading and crispy as well.
Not the best area to bring a family or for sisters to come alone at night but the day time should be fine.
Family is indonesian muslims and very nice.
Make sure to let them know you want halal specifically as their halal chicken and machines are completely seperate. Posted on December 17, 2015 |

★★★★★ Their chicken is really good. The owner told me they use a separate frier for the halal chicken. And I've seen that the prepared chicken comes out of the kitchen in a separate bowl and served with separate tongs Posted on April 19, 2015 |

★★★★★ The area outside doesn't seem like much. This is more of a take out, they do have 3 small tables for sit down with maybe 7 or 8 chairs in total. The only Halal food they serve is the fried chicken and you must ask for it. Be prepared to wait 15 - 20 mins unless you call ahead. the taste was really good and the family is already asking when I can bring more. Posted on March 23, 2015 |

★★★★★ I found out about this place from a business card that was posted on the bulletin board Masjid Al-Ikhlas located in the Indonesian Consulate. I have been meaning to stop by ever since but I never got around to doing so. Finally, today was the day! I have had Louisiana Fried Chicken from the the “famous hood” location on Normandie and Manchester. Ever since becoming Muslim I have only contemplated on trying some of that chicken. Alhamdulillah there is a place that serves HALAL LOUISIANA FRIED CHICKEN. I am no fried chicken connoisseur, by any stretch of the imagination, but I will say this much. The Halal Chicken from KFC and other locations don’t even compare. The skin is crispy and the meat juicy and succulent. One of things I also like about how this chicken is prepared (i.e marinated). Full of flavor and spices in every bite.
The owners are an Indonesian Muslim Couple from Surabaya. My wife, who is also Indonesian, and I spoke with owners who are very nice. They mentioned that during Ramadhan they do catering for some of the local area Masajid such as King Fahd in Culver City and of course the Masjid Al Ikhlas in the Indonesian Consulate. I definitely recommend this place. Its a must try. Posted on March 16, 2015 |

★★★★★ Amazing place!!! I've been back three times already. Tastes like KFC and chicken with bones are halal. They cook it separately when you place your order. It is worth the wait. If you're in a hurry, you might want to call ahead to place your order. Posted on November 23, 2014 |

★★★★★ I found out about this place thru the Muslim owner of a Dental practice in the same strip mall. This place started offering Halal Fried chicken (leg and thigh only) just a few days ago. They keep a separate Frier and Oil for Halal chicken. I think the chicken's seasoning is better than KFC's or Popeyes'. This is an excellent option for tasty fried chicken near the culver city area. I am hoping they will offer Chicken breast and wings in the future. Even though they keep Halal chicken in stock, it may not be a bad idea to call in ahead of your visit. Posted on July 22, 2014 |
