★★★★☆ I recommend this place. There are so many Persian restaurants in South Orange County, it's hard to stand out. But this restaurant stands out by carving a unique niche for itself. For more formal sit down, I'd definitely prefer Hatam or Woodfire Kabob. But as the restaurant's name suggests, this is more a cafe. It has a humbler feel. But, the food is excellent. I had the kashk o bademjoon and the boneless chicken kabob (breast), and the food's quality was as good as any place. Moreover, this place has a lot of items most Persian restaurants do not--tongue, kaleh pache, Persian pizza, sandwiches, chicken wings, etc. I didn't try any of those items, but I can imagine people wanting to try them. Overall, this place definitely exceeded my expectations. I asked the guy if the place was halal, and he confirmed that everything on the menu is halal. I trust the verbal confirmation, but I do wish there was a sign or note on the menu that everything was halal. Overall though, I was very happy with this place and recommend it if you're in the area.
