★★★★☆ If you come here, be prepared to wait for a half hour. The food is very expensive, but I find it to be delicious. I usually get chicken breast kebab. The portions are huge as well. It's a nice environment, but it's usually pretty empty. Posted on August 13, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ Food was ok. I don't understand why their prices are so high when there are other equivalent restaurants with bigger portions but half the price. Posted on June 16, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ went to this place over the summer -- the food isn't really truly afghan it has more of a desi taste to it. From a platter of brown rice, chicken, and lamb kabob the only thing that actually tasted good was the rice. The lamb kabob was extremely chewy and the chicken kabob was very bland. ★★★☆☆ Having eaten at the 'authentic' Afghan restaurants in Little Kabul (Newark, CA), this place is not the real deal. Firstly, there is too many fish dishes on the menu. I don't recall Afghanistan having any significant oceans or seas on its borders or for that matter any lakes with fishes. Secondly, the bolani is 2 pieces of triangular toast-sized fried something. Thirdly, they don't offer any Mantu - dumplings with ground beef.
In addition, the prices are way too expensive.
The food tastes ok - though definitely not Afghan. The decor is, however, excellent.
I wouldn't come back here due to the prices. Posted on January 3, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ not the best afghani restaurant out there. too oily and over-priced, with little portions. the food is not authentic. and the staff is the rudest you will find on this side of the east coast. Posted on November 2, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ Fairly Expensive spot for its location in Jackson Heights. But the portions are generous. Very Dry Afghan food.
Went Last week and the service was very poor even though the food was good. Posted on March 12, 2008 |

★★★★☆ An impressive Afghan restaurant with a wide selection of dishes. Fairly expensive, though. Posted on November 15, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ Do not make the mistake of going here unless you enjoy waiting 1 hour for your food and getting sub par portions. We literally waited ONE hour for our food to arrive and it was ridiculously over priced for the size of the portions we received. Posted on April 9, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ a pure waste of time. Been here twice, and both times food was sub par quality, with a really long wait, very small portions, and high prices. Defeats the purpose of dining out. Posted on April 9, 2007 |

★★★★★ Hands down the best Afghani restaurant in New York. $22 you get fish, shrimp, beef, chapli, steak, and chicken pieces grilled..then a whole nother plate of brown rice. Might take a lil while but its worth the money, wait, and trip.. Posted on January 21, 2007 |

★★★★☆ the food is excellent. prices are fair as well, but the food is good. Posted on January 7, 2007 |

★★★★★ The food is excellent. Even though the price is a bit high than other desi places in Jackson Heights, the food and the environment makes up for it. The proportion is very generous. Try the Chef's combo kabab! That is absolutely the best. And even if you are a fish lover, don't risk for grilled cod, somedays it just isn't the same. For dessert, you may try the firni. ★★☆☆☆ i jus went to this place last week. there was another afghani rest here b4 which i loved. The food in this new one is good but the price is way too much. You get very little for what you pay for. My all time fav is the chapli kabab with the brown rice. The only prob is the cost. i dont think im even going there again... Posted on July 5, 2006 |

★★★★☆ Excellent Restaurant in terms of food. Decor is well-suited to the fancier of a 'spiritual' Eastern ambience. Posted on May 9, 2000 |
