★★★☆☆ Tried them only once during their Friday buffet. It was expensive for the quality and quantity of food they offered. I was thoroughly disappointed by the quality of Biryani. If you cannot serve decent Biryani, you have no right to be considered as a decent Desi restaurant. Most of the time people were waiting for Naans to come out of the oven or the Nihari to be filled back up with meat. It was just a big serving tray of Nihari curry with no meat in it most of the time. All of the food was bland and the tandori chicken was dry and made of the typical Indian formula that I was not expecting at a Pakistani restaurant. The only saving grace was the rice pudding which was actually pretty good, hence the two stars. I will not recommend this place to anybody that I know. Not at least for the Friday buffet. Posted on January 26, 2018 |

★★★☆☆ Customer service has gone down from the last time I was here. My friend had the tikkah masala, and said it was good. I had their chicken Noorani dish and wasn't a fan of it. It tastes like spicy chicken in jalfreezi. Maybe I just didn't order the right stuff! Posted on August 28, 2016 |

★★★☆☆ Food is good especially the chicken tikka masala but the costumer service is HORRIBLE! Posted on September 29, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ I have been here once. The helper took my order. I asked for the lunch special and he said he can give me biryani instead of the regular rice that comes with it. Later someone else came upto me and told me that switch wasnt possible so I had to get the regular rice. I dont recall my entire order but I prefer other restaurants for similar food. ★★★★☆ I gave this place 4 star for Nihari, Beef Biryani, Paratha, and Bihari kabob roll. I have been going here for years since they were used be a whole in the wall. Other then the good tht I listed above everything else is Okay. Food however is lil pricey compare to Usmania. Posted on March 30, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went there first time to get some groceries and Halal meat. Very poor customer service no greeting no hello/hi. He will not entertain you and you will have to wait and the persons coming after you will be serviced first as he know them.
So if you dont know him think that you will be neglected and you have to wait till all his knowns are gone.
Secondly inspite of asking twice he gave me lamb meat instead of goat. It had too mutch fat and smell. I am not buying the goat first time so as I cant distinguish.
I asked him for veal meat all I got was bones and fat no meat in it.
I would never ever go back to that shop nor will recommend it to someone. Posted on February 12, 2014 |

★★★★☆ I went around 12noon and this is what I rate it.
- Restaurant cleanliness: 5/5
- bathrooms 4/5
- Service 4/5 (didn't ask for refill until I had to ask)
Now to to real review:
I ordered Chicken tikka masala. I was great! I give it a 4.5/5. Lost a half point cuz I feel there should be more chicken in there, but it's still satisfying. Tried chili nan, not really chili. Rather stick wit a regular nan. But i would try at least 1 if you r curious. Also tried need samosa, ill give that a 3/5. Posted on June 7, 2013 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ The food was about average. I would give this place a 3.5.
The gentlemen serving were nice folks and to be quiet honest the food tasted more Pakistani here then some other area 'desi' restaurants.
I would definitely visit this place again...I have only tried a couple of items on the menu so perhaps, my opinion would change after I try some more dishes. Hopefully, more positive! Posted on April 13, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ First thing I have to say that people who have given + review to this restaurant don't know good quality Pakistani food. Now regarding the restaurant, Food has no taste, let me repeat NO TASTE. Expensive, No quality. My chinese friends can make better pakistani food then these guys. Please save your money and buy Veggie Sub at Subway Posted on April 10, 2013 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ Food is ok. Prices are too high and the food portions are very small. Desi restaurants needs to learn how to give food from Chinese people. Staff in the kitchen is so loud with all profanity talk. I sure don't want to hear that. Sunday brunch price is $14.00 which totally a ripoff. Posted on November 10, 2012 |

★★★★★ Decent environment and tasty Indian cuisine. The management was friendly and service was good. I'll definitely return when in area, insha-Allah. Posted on May 20, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Good decor and lovely food. Wanted something wholesome after visiting Disney and this proved to be a good choics Posted on April 16, 2012 |

|
★★☆☆☆ Having eaten here many times, and also having had their food at catered events, I feel compelled to say that Noorani needs to pay more attention to the folks who actually come to the restaurant from all over Southern California! On a recent visit for Sunday brunch, we found the food to be sub-par and the service terrible. Who wants to hear the staff bickering while you're trying to eat?! It's almost as if the owners don't care whether patrons enjoy the food or the atmosphere, like a "take it or leave it" attitude. We won't be returning. Posted on January 8, 2012 |

|
★★★★☆ The new place they opened couple of years ago is more spacious.
Love the Chicken Noorani and Chicken Kadahi, with fresh Naan. I go very often with my friends. Staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. I would suggest management to continue to pay attention to the quality of service which will bring your customers back again and again. Posted on July 10, 2011 |

★★★★☆ You cannot beat this value and the food is quite good Posted on January 6, 2011 |

★★★★★ Wow, what a buncha snooty OC reviewers. The food at Noorani is of high quality and is served quite promptly after ordering. The Biryani is quite flavorful and light; a feat which I've never seen after eating lots of oily fatty biryani in my life. The store area is clean, the service is friendly, good holistic experience. Kabob Roll was also top quality.
Although I respect the opinion of those who did not like the food, I believe that all that OC sun may have negatively affected their brains. 5/5 stars. Posted on October 17, 2010 |

★★★★☆ best haleem i've had at a restaurant. the rest of the food is average. Posted on October 10, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Their catered food is far far better than the one at the restaurant. The one at the restaurant usually causes heart burn :) Service could be better, if they at least smile. Their Naan is really good. Posted on June 26, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Here is the catch on this place from someone thats been working restaurants most his life and i have been to most of these halal places in zabihah.com..
The place is a relaxing environment, great to take family .. The food reminds me of authentic indian food. The portions arent the biggest but the price are a little high for the amount of food. But you get the quality of great food so it neutralizes it. If you like quality over quantity then this is the place for you. Nice brothers, pray there in the restaurant.. and they're nice. I would recommend it to people who appreciate quality. Posted on April 25, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ I like to stop by here when I am attending ISOC for an afternoon activity. I don't like catered desi food as it is usually upsetting to my (and most people's) stomach. But i do love a good bowl of chicken tikka masala. And Noorani has the best in Orange County, but definitely not the best in California. That would be Pakwaan up in Bay Area, but I digress.
Noorani Naan cannot be beat. it is sooo good fresh from the tandoor. My family is big on bread, and my Dad always says that "there is nothing better in the world than fresh hot bread". He also has blood sugar problems, but that isn't the point.
I have only one problem with this place. Why don't they smile ever when you walk in? I feel like whenever I come in I get sized up. Would it kill them, or any other desi joint to chat me up or smile? It's so transactional, I feel cheap afterwards.
Also, why can't a desi place have immaculate bathrooms? Other restaurants can do it, why can't desi places. The bathroom at Noorani isn't awful, but it definitely isn't pleasant either. The worst desi restaurant in LA area is Shah Nawaz, but I digress.
If it wasn't for the unfriendliness and the bathroom, I would give them 4 stars. The food is great (at the restaurant), the bathrooms are poor, and the service could be friendlier. Posted on February 18, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ I have visited Noorani on the first week of 2010, Food was average+; it was too pricey & food portioned are NOT acceptable for a South Asian food. Cleanliness, service is average also. Posted on January 8, 2010 |

★★★★★ WONDERFUL SERVICE & FOOD!
-located in an all-vietnamese business plaza.
After eyeing this place for SOOO long, I finally got the chance to stop in and have a lovely lunch!
We ordered an order of Vegetable curry(YUM), Chicken Biryani,(Double YUM), and 2 orders of Garlic Naan bread.
I don't even know where to start with telling you how good all the food was. The Chicken Biryani here was a little different then other places that Ive had before, but it was still delicious. The portion was very good for 2 people also.
There is this "special sauce" that they served in a dispenser that you pour. It's white & looks like RANCH dressing. I had it before at other restaurants but this time I worked up the courage to ask the man what that sauce was. He told me the list of ingredients but said there wasn't really a name for it. I told him I really liked it and wanted to know because I wanted to go find it at the market. He told me they don't sell it elsewhere and to just come to him and he'll give it to me. lol.
He ended up giving me a container for free to bring home. We always have a few packages of naan bread in our freezer and it just goes together PERFECTLY!
I am so excited to go back to try their other items on the menu!
Price reference: $22. (pretty good right?)
As it states on their menu; "Walking distance to Orange County masjid." Posted on May 23, 2009 |

★★★★★ owner is really good the chicken qorma is the best over there love their new restraunt is way bigger and it looks better Posted on March 10, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ Noorani has moved to bigger place. Some food is good and some is not. Nihari and Bar B Q is good but sometimes, it is just leftover from previous day(s)/party. Biryany is bad. When Biryani is ordered, they put chicken masala in plate and top it with rice. If you arder Beef Biryani, they will replace chicken pieces with Nihari's beef and you feel like eating Nihari, Qurma and rice. Owner and serving man are nice but Pakistani lady is rude. Posted on March 4, 2009 |

|
|
★★★☆☆ Ok,..after years of analysis, this is my conclusion.
Nehari is good. Biryani is good. Sunday-Thursday food will be microwaved and if you're a bunch of guys, I believe nan will be leftovers from the previous night's catering. Food is expensive. Quantity has been reduced due to lack of competition. The regular desi cheap thinking exists (Avoiding A/C, replacing 2 pieces of meat in the nehari with one meat and one maghaz piece and charging extra when maghaz nehari is ordered, etc.) As with most desi places, don't expect customer service. No smiles on any employee's face. Posted on January 23, 2008 |

★★★★★ It has become almost a weekly ritual for me and my friends to visit Noorani and enjoy their finger lickin delicious food.
Their naan is great. Prices are very decent and food is very delicious. Only drawback is the lack of seating since they've a rather small establishment but if you go slightly off hours or over weekdays, then its not so bad. Posted on October 24, 2007 |
|
|
★★★★☆ Food was decent, a bit spicier than I expected and reasonably priced. Food came sorta late, so an above average rating would be appropriate Posted on August 2, 2007 |

|
★★★★★ I have been their customer for the past five years or more. During those years, the food has been consistently good. I usually order Chicken Qorma or Karahi and Daal. Both are made fresh and have a unique taste. I'm not sure how to identify the spices, but the taste and smell is superb. However, they have an opportunity to improve their customer service skills. The staff needs to smile a little more and give customers a personal touch. They should try to know regular customers by name to give that special attention and learn to remember that the 'customer is always right.' Posted on June 24, 2007 |
|
|
★★★★☆ Oh come on! They've excellent food and good service, specially for the price. Their food is finger lickin good and I'm sure its Halal too.
I wouldn't compare their service to Fleming Steak House but its nearly not as bad. Posted on April 10, 2007 |

★★★★★ Assalamu alaykum,
I can say I have been to this place a couple of times and though at first sight it seemed small when we got the food I was very please. I recomend the Chicken tikka masala, it was the best I had ever! the naan was good and fresh, the briyanis and the rest of the food was very tasty. Posted on December 26, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ been here a few times. the food and service was really good the first time and sucked the second time! the older white haired gentleman is very nice and helpful. was helped by a rude desi woman the next time and was served a very undercooked chicken dish, which she claimed we wrongly ordered! had her bring us another dish after arguing with her and finally accepting the fact that "we" ordered the wrong item. she still charged us for both dishes! do not like their service or seating, but crave their chicken tikka masala! Posted on November 14, 2006 |

★★☆☆☆ I'm going to rate this establishment poor. I'm confident the meat is Halal, however, I have disputes with their catering, and the quality. I'm not going to say very poor, because sometimes the food is decent.
Bad experience with the catered food, which for us tasted nothing like the restaurant which was average to begin with. Just tried to give a local muslim business some revenue, but were completely dissatisfied. Posted on October 5, 2006 |

★★★★☆ I had lunch here this weekend and the food was great. They have an excellent lunch special on the weekends! The Nihari and Chicken Tikka Masala was great! Posted on March 15, 2005 |

★★★★☆ Good place. We tried a number of dishes. I'd suggest the Roghni Naan rather than the regular Naan. Their Bihari kabab/paratha combo was good. Also, their Nourani chicken was nice. It was a very filling experience. Posted on December 18, 2004 |

★★★★☆ Tasty! Noorani is sure to give you an authentic taste of Bangladesh. However, steer clear of the "masalas" if heavy oil is your concern. The Garlic Naan, Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Tikka and Kabobs are absolutely scrumptious. My husband and I drive all the way here from Mission Viejo sometimes just to satisfy our palette for Indo/Pak food. The ambience, however, can be improved. Posted on June 7, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ no way man, the food is, at its best, ok. which is not ok! it's at a good location, right near the ISOC masjid, but i think they need to cut back on the grease before i even think about giving it a third star Posted on November 3, 2003 |

★★★☆☆ Noorani's door is a palimpsest of greasy and grubby fingerprints. Perhaps the prints are endorsements of patrons who were happy to dine in an informal, friendly setting snarfing down the tasty $4.99 lunch tray. Popular with the post-Jumma crowd from nearby Islamic Society of Orange County and in the midst of Little Saigon, Noorani is a cheap, unostentatious, no frills passport to Pakistan. ★★★☆☆ From a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7. Yes it is not a very elegant place(all u desis reading this, NO you do not bring ur wife here for your anniversary) the food is good. A little on the spicy end but that adds to the taste of the indo-pak cuisine. The managment is very friendly however, they are very slow on orders. It is a constant problem for everyone for the wait time for their orders. If the 2 improvements were made, it would be a high 8. Posted on December 12, 2002 |

★★★★★ Definitely one of the best Indo-Pak restaurants in town. Our family loves eclectic gourmet cuisine. The decor is simple & the service is adequate. But the food beats anything. The lady is polite & friendly. Noorani is OC residents synonym for fine cuisine on a budget. MashaAllah. Posted on September 1, 2002 |
|
|
★☆☆☆☆ The lady tells you what to order. Kinda strange. It looks dirty in there. The owners have done an outstanding job making the place look ugly and boring. Don't bother phoning in the order. I waited about 30 minutes to get our food. The food wasnt so good. Greasy, chicken pieces were weird. There may be some other indo-pak restaurants that are better. Posted on June 1, 2002 |

★★★★★ Absolutely delicious Indian/Pakistani food available at reasonable prices. The people who work there are considerate and friendly. The service can be a bit slow, but that's only because everything is prepared fresh. If you live near by this is a restaurant that you don't want to miss out on! Posted on March 11, 2002 |

|
★★★★★ Noorani easily has some of the best kebabs I have ever eaten. Noorani can easily compete with any kebab place in Bangladesh, India or Pakistan. Definitely try the Bihari/Reshmi kebab. It might take a while to prepare the dish, but it is superb. I've taken my family and even American friends there. They all love it. Service can be slow and simple, but they are friendly and the food is worth it. Posted on November 6, 2001 |

★★★★☆ Excellent food, very friendly Pakistani owners, and pretty economical as well. If you want to try a variety, I would recommend their "Tandoori Mix Plate" containing chicken tikka, bihari kabob, seekh kabob and Tandoori chicken. Posted on November 13, 2000 |
