Our story begins long ago, when Portuguese sailors took with them a souvenir plant after visiting the coast of Africa. They took it home because they noticed that this tiny pepper, also called the African Bird's Eye chili didn't just contain the heat but had its own distinct flavor as well. The Bird's Eye chili is the star ingredient of our signature blends which gives our food a burst of fresh and irresistible twist like you've never tasted before! We bring you the same Peri Peri that made its way to the world from the Portuguese city of Porto across the Atlantic Ocean to entice the American taste buds. We took the same Peri Peri and added a new dimension to it with our secret blends that takes the taste of our food to a whole new level! Added on August 14, 2019 and last updated 4 weeks ago

★★★★★ Halal restaurants are really stepping it up. I went with two friends, and this place vastly exceeded all of our expectations. There are flavors here you've almost certainly never tasted before. That itself should be reason to check this place out. And, of course, the food is delicious. I love that the places leaves no doubt that the food is zabihah, with a huge certificate right next to the cashier. But at the same time, I really appreciate how when you initially step in, you feel like you're in a super trendy spot. They really did an excellent job designing the interior. The place is fast casual, but still super nice.
I tried the chicken wings (this was my favorite thing here, it had a complexity of flavor I'd never tasted before), the peri chicken in a spinach wrap (which was also good), and the falafel (it came highly recommended, and it was good). They have a range of flavors; I got the mild, and it was the perfect amount of spice for me. I have decent heat tolerance, and I'm not sure if I could've comfortably handled their spicier options.
In short, I recommend this place. It has delicious food, the food is unique, the space is beautiful, the prices are very reasonable, and they proudly make clear their food is halal. Posted on October 18, 2019 |

★★★★★ This was the highlight of our California stay. The restaurant is a clean and casual place with ample parking. Halal sign is clearly visible. We ordered the 1/4 chicken, wings, and chicken bowl. I ordered mild spice which was enough for me, but there was extra peri-peri sauce available as well. All the dishes were perfectly cooked. My kids loved it. Unfortunately, we did not have time to make a second visit... Posted on January 4, 2020 |
