★★★★☆ Food tasted ok. Service a bit slow. All in all a good experience and I would return. I came in on Friday night so it was very crowded. Posted on July 14, 2018 |

★★☆☆☆ Too bad, cash only Posted on November 28, 2017 |

★★★★☆ Food is delicious , took of a star because they start closing before the mentioned time. It's pretty busy on weekends , so plan ahead. They have couple of things called "sala special" all of those dishes taste amazing. Posted on January 13, 2016 |

★★★☆☆ Service is great, seating spacious... food is alright... satay is decent though a bit bland, you might want to specify spice level.Drunken noodles are good, but when we ordered medium spicy it still had a lot of red peper in it, tom yum soup can be avoided..the one we had with shrimps had barely 3 shrimps and was nothing to talk about... ★★★★★ Loved the food here. Probably the best Halal Thai restaurant in Northern California. I had the fried fish and cashew chicken along with chicken fried rice. Every thing was very tasty. Service was great as well. I will be back for sure. Posted on April 9, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Had been there 3 years ago and the service had been just ok. This time had a great experience; very friendly attentive service and whilst I was waiting for a friend they offered me tea. Their yellow curry and crispy fish were very tasty. The owner came by and chatted with me a few times whilst I waited too and at the end asked me how the food had been and thanked me for visiting. ★★★★☆ This was the 5th or 6th time we visited this place. We ordered Thai fried rice and crispy fish. The crispy fish was awesome as always. The fried rice was good - but it would have been good if the server asked us about the spice level. Posted on December 14, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ I've had some great Thai food at non-zabihah restaurants. So this restaurant doesn't blow me away.
But that aside, the food is solid. The service is fabulous. And the ambiance makes for a great date night or family night.
My only problem is that I find everything to taste the same, with a few small tweaks. It's as if the chef uses the same base and just changes up a spice or two for each recipe. I don't find the recipes to be too original. But I guess that's what you expect from a place with such a huge menu selection.
This place is great for groups. TONS of selection. Posted on September 18, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Just paid them my last ever visit. This is our third consecutive time in 5 months, that we have had bad experience. I gave them 3 chances to improve but both service and food has become worse with time.
We had tom yum gai, pad thai, musamman curry, steam veg w/ peanut sauce, and white rice . Except white rice all other items were not good. The pad thai tasted spoilt and old. I am still worried if I can go through the night without having diarrhea.
Service was not great either, waiters don't even look at you to see if you need something.
Finally, to add insult to injury literally, they called me "cheap" after I gave them 7% tip. He was literally expecting 50% tip. Probably I shouldn't have tipped at all.
They were good 2 years ago, but now they have become totally worse. Posted on September 14, 2011 |

★★★★★ Family's favorite place. Great food and service. Posted on June 20, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ This place is pretty good thai food - but definately not the best thai I've had, zabihah or not. There's a little place in another state, another city called Noodle Wave and it takes the cake when it comes to Thai, and it's zabihah...so the bar is set high when I walk into any Thai place.
But, if we take any comparisons out the equation - the ambience was pretty good, as was service, and the food was good. Not excellent, but just good.
I've only been once - never had the opportunity to return. Posted on May 5, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ I can't even begin to tell you what a disappointment this place was. After reading all the reviews on Zabihah and Yelp I really went in expecting the spectacular. Alas, the food was less than mediocre, bland, watered down and a downright disappointment! Needless to say, the service and decor were great but I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone anytime soon. Nor would I revisit to try out other dishes on the off chance I had ordered the wrong stuff. It was just my husband and I, it was his birthday, and after reading the reviews I really was expecting to be blown away by this place. We ordered the beef salad (Nom Tok Neur), Chicken with garlic, onion, black pepper and cilantro (Prad Kra Tiam), Crispy fish with sweet garlic (on recommendation from other Yelpers), and the sauteed beef with cashew nuts, onion, celery, bell pepper and crispy chilli (Pad Himmaparn). We orderd the dishes with brown rice since we always have brown rice.
So why weren't we impressed? Well, the beef salad smelled awful. It was so bad it was off-putting, but still I tried it since we had ordered it. Meh! Tasted as bad as it looked and smelled. The chicken dish wasn't so bad, I would give that a 6 out of 10 but the brown rice was hard as anything and by the end of the meal my mouth was seriously aching! The crispy fish wasn't at all what I expected and the garlic was sparse. The fish was fresh and soft so I'd give it a 6 out of 10. This was not however, sauteed as the description implied. The beef dish we ordered was watered down, and not at all sauteed. Again, why use the word "sauteed" if it's not?! A 4 maybe...at a stretch.
Since it was my husband's birthday we would have liked to have looked at the dessert menu but decided against it so we weren't further disappointed. Would I go again or try out their original location? I think not! Posted on October 17, 2010 |

★★★★☆ This place is awesome! Clean, neat, new and not too many people. Food is reasonably priced and there are several "pan-Asian" choices on the menu. Highly recommended! Posted on July 14, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★☆ Their food is really good, but its a little pricey. I suggest, the crispy chicken over fried rice, and the yellow curry. The staff is friendly, they have a decent bathroom, very nice tables, no wobly chairs or tables, sometimes they can take a little long to take your order or give it to you, but i would go there on a date. (not that i date ;)) Posted on March 6, 2010 |

NR Concerned that it's says halal but on their menu they also have pork???? Copied from their menu.

★★★★★ Had some unbelieveabley great food here! I'm craving it AGAIN! I ordered the pineapple fried rice, a beef dish with bell peppers, and pad thai noodles. All excellent. Ambience is wonderful, nice place for a celebration dinner. A little out of the way, in some forgotten part of Fremont, and could use curb apeal. But great inside. And the employees were friendly and all smiles. I truly believe eating out is not just about the food but the way the resturaunt people treat you as well, as the the decor and cleanliness of the place. Posted on March 9, 2008 |

★★★★★ Excellent Food. Nice Decor. Friendly Service. Red chicken curry is delicious. Pad Thai is good. Thai iced tea is good. This location is Halal & Zabihah. Original location is not. Posted on January 8, 2008 |

★☆☆☆☆ This restaurant looked like a nice place to eat in terms of the ambiance, etc. The service was absolutely horrible. We got there a little while before they were closing and they were practically kicking us out the door as we sat down. We weren't even given ample time to look at the menu. We ended up leaving because the waitress was so rude. I cant say much about the food because we didn't get to try any. Posted on June 15, 2007 |

★★★★☆ We were delighted to find a Halal restaurant serving Thai food in the East Bay area. We had dinner with Muslim friends and were happy with the atmosphere, good service and quality of food. The tom yam was good and also the beef dishes. Pad Thai was not good but the fried rice was ok. We will come back again to support the restaurant and enjoy other spicy Thai dishes. Posted on May 6, 2007 |

|
★★★☆☆ I've been there twice and food was good. The thing I don't understand...why they have 1 non-halal and 1 halal restaurant. Why didn't they make both restaurants halal? Is the owner Muslim? I spoke with the staff twice and they assured me that the food is halal and owner is Muslim. Not sure what to think of it Posted on April 18, 2007 |

★★★★★ Went here for dinner tonight. It was very tasty Thai food. The service was very good as well. Try the "drunken noodles", Yellow Curry and BBQ Chicken. All are excellent. This place is definitely recommended! Posted on January 2, 2007 |

★★★★★ I brought friends from out of state, and they were so happy to have some thai and chinese food. The fish was excellent, and the chinese food was flavorful. Posted on December 6, 2006 |

|
★★★★★ This place is excellent! Make sure to try the Pad Thai noodles and the penang curry with chicken. Both are real good. The Tom Yum soup was ok. I am a bit dissapointed that this restaurant is closed on Saturday and Sunday (owner said not enough people show up)?!? At any rate, food and service is very good. The food is very tasty. Support this establishment -- maybe they will reconsider their weekend hours! Posted on November 15, 2006 |

★★★★★ excellent halal thai food only open monday-fri lunch/dinner -- clean, friendly service. This is the 2nd location of Salathai referred to as Salathai#2 which only serves Halal. The other original location DOES NOT. Posted on November 14, 2006 |
