★★★★★ I went recently after years and was very pleasantly surprised to find that there are even more items on the menu. The staff are known Muslims and have assured us that everything is zabiha halal except for the filet mignon. I tried one of the new wraps that was full of quality chicken, fresh mozzarella, and delicious vegetables. My wife had the shish taouk and it was juicy and flavorful. The cuisine is Middle Eastern (not South Asian) so it will not be as spicy as Devon Ave fare but it offers many great options that taste excellent and leave you feeling healthy and satisfied afterwards. There are plenty of excellent appetizers, salads and desserts (which is a bit rare for a halal restaurant). Also, it is one of the cleanest and most tastefully decorated halal restaurants in Chicago, offering a pleasant ambience for an excellent meal. Posted on December 12, 2010 |

★★★★★ OK, so the other reviews here must be outdated. I have been going to the Olive Mountain for almost 3 years, and it has been consistently excellent. The food is authentic Lebanese. The owner has verified, on more than one occaision, that everything but the chicked shwarma and the fillet mignon, is halal. Otherwise, it is truly affordable and packed with flavor. And if you go during Ramadan, you'll receive 20% off. Posted on September 29, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ I agree with the other reviewers, the prices are on the high side and there isn't anything really special about the food. We had three dish options that were zabiha, at least it is one more place we can try to eat meat. Posted on April 1, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ Went there 2nd time, pricy not worth it but had to eat halal food, the meat had too much tamarind (imli), go only if you have too Devon much better choice. Posted on April 29, 2003 |

★★★★☆ Only went there once *Hint* A nice place to eat but the food is bland and the price is a little high. Stick with Pita House for same taste and more for your money. Posted on September 30, 2002 |

★★★★☆ Newly remodeled with amazing lunch specials and many options. I love the Chicken Tikka with rice (only served at lunch). Has a nice zing to it. The dinners also please your palette, but not your wallet Posted on July 15, 2000 |
