★★☆☆☆ The food is well made and tasty. The waitress that we got last was very nice, however EVERY SINGLE TIME we go there the Owner is very rude. due to the decent food they make I tried it more then once, but all 3 times this guys was rude. Will NOT be returning to this place again. the one extra star is only due to decent food. Posted on April 12, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ Food is okay. The owner owns a hookah bar in front of the bakery and they serve some food. Ahmed, the owner, confirmed buying hala meat from Arash and halal chicken from restaurant depot. Posted on January 20, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Unfortunatly this is not HALAL 100% am sure and I have to say that because most of the people they think it's HALAL for all brothers and sisters that is the truth he deceive the customer Posted on February 8, 2012 |

★★★★★ I have been to Amira Bakery many times over the last few years both the old and new locations. The new location (on Evans) is much bigger and has plenty of tables to accommodate both small and large parties.
It has excellent food and their shawrma sandwiches are the best in town in my opinion. They also serve fresh bread (made onsite) and pies (wood/brick oven pizza). Pies (manaqish) are tasty and absolutely fresh. They also serve full plates with variety of meats and humas; however I only tried the sandwiches and pies at Amira.
I noticed that some reviewers had some concern with the service and they probably are right however in my opinion it is a self serve restaurant, you go to the counter, order the food, pickup the food at the counter when ready (sometimes they do bring it to table), get your own drinks/water from the cooler, and pay at the counter when finished. There is not much service to expect in such establishments. One thing is for sure that it may be helpful if the cashier/server greets or smile more often however food is really good which makes up for everything else.
On occasions, they also have pastries, baklava and Middle Eastern cookies. Cookies are fairly good specially the one with dates and if you like something they can make it in larger quantity if you order it a day or two in advance. I have taken date cookies for friends in Dallas and they really loved it and ask for it when I visit them (considering that there are many choices in Dallas)
Overall I enjoy the food and find it a great value. Posted on January 23, 2012 |

★★★★★ If you're looking for the aroma and taste of authentic middle eastern shawarmas, Amira has the best chicken shawarmas in Colorado, Period! And it is the only place in Colorado that offers halal meat pizzas too. Prices are moderate and the location is decent as it is within a sizeable Muslim neighborhood and 2 minutes away from the largest masjid in the state. Posted on April 25, 2010 |
