★★★★★ A friend and I were visiting from Canada; this friend of mine is Pakistani and her aunt had recommended this place. Its quality lived up to the name of the place (fresh). The flavours, and presentation of the dishes we had ordered (which were by the way the Chicken Tikka Masala, and [my favourite] Haleem, as well as their Nihari [woooowwww]) was done to perfection. I have specific compliments for their meat dishes as the meat is extremely tender and in the haleem there is that bit of 'stickiness and thickness' to its consistency, which the perfect haleem should have.
It looks like a good place for a good social gathering with a big family or with just another friend, like in my situation; or even for a lunch break off work maybe? I saw some big families coming in, so, the place seems like a hit.
Honestly, my experience was definitely a really positive one, next time I come to California and if it's with my family, I'm bringing them here for sure. Posted on August 6, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Rebranded as "Green Chilli" after business takeover by a new owner. Halal and almost the same menu as good old "Tandoori Fresh" days. Posted on March 31, 2021 |

★★★★☆ They call themselves a casual dining restaurant and that means you place your order at the counter like a fast food place and they bring it to your table. This is not fast food though. The haleem and Nihari were very good, the chicken tikka masala was a little too sweet for my taste. Whilst I was there the other customers were all locals so I assume it was more for the Americans taste. The only complaint I had was that the naan was hard and heavy. Most dishes around $10 a plate but the portions are large. I would recommend you give them a try. Posted on July 6, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Great Food, goat Korma and Nehari is great. Mixed platter quantity is so so and meat size is very small Posted on June 26, 2015 |

★★★★★ Incredible & hands down the best nahari I've had anywhere - and I'm including NYC, DC, Dallas, chicago eateries. Quick, unobtrusive service, excellent fresh made tandoori naan; this place is authentic Pakistani desi vs. the usual generic desi that's all too common. Definite two thumbs up and worth the drive. ★★★★★ I came here with my wife and son. It's a casual dining restaurant with a very unique ambiance. we tried nehari, mixed plate, and chicken tikka masala. The food was fresh and amazing and naans we ordered were soft and fluffy.I loved nehari and chicken tikka masala the most. Beef in nehari was really tender and chicken tikka masala had a very unique taste, different than any other indian/pakistani restaurant. I had a wonderful experience and i would definitely come back. ★★★☆☆ I have been here twice. The second time a friend of mine ordered food from here so I didnt pay for it that time. The first time I got a curry I think, and one of the kebabs. I found the kebab was a bit on the tough side, and therefore undercooked in my opinion. The flavoring was decent however. I dont recall what I thought of the curry. The second time when my friend ordered I think we got the chicken tikka masala. I am not a regular eater of the dish so I have no idea what it should taste like. Posted on July 22, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Horrible Horrible place. The owner is extremely rude and doesn't take orders on phone neither let you sit in the restaurant after 9:00 pm.
We order Chicken tikka and they gave us boneless grilled chicken, on complain they got furious and insulted us.
Better be careful if you plan to take your family there. Posted on July 12, 2014 |

★★★★★ Best Pakistani food in OC and LA! We go there often and take our families. This location is really clean and looks nice. Their combo plate with rice, naan and a drink is a great deal. We were so happy to find out about this place a few years ago. Posted on August 8, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I personally thought the food was good and the owner is a nice and friendly guy. As to the arrogant and rude attitude, I would second that when the owner is not there and a couple of his staff are just terrible. The owner also leaves around 5 everyday so there have been instances of poor food quality after that. For those that have had a sub par experience, try going in before 5 or on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which are times when the owner is in the kitchen.
Over the past few months I pretty much tried their entire menu and don't have complaints. I was not a huge fan of the biryani though. All the food portions are fairly large but are Americanized to taste. I would suggest letting your order taker/server know of you want it more desi style...pretty much with more salt and spices lol Posted on April 13, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ All I can say about this place is that is has made me end my long abstention from providing negative reviews because these are all muslim entrepreneurs and need to be promoted.
However, the haleem I ordered from Tandoori fresh had mold in it and caused me to have food poisoning.
If you are the owner, please take this to heart and review your entire food preparation and storage process. Posted on February 19, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I was here the other day and ordered there lunch special, which included Saag Paneer, Chicken Tika Masala, served with rice and naan. I enjoyed the chicken Tika masala. I don't recommend the saag, I've tasted better. Also I ordered the tandoori chicken which had no taste, it was extremely bland. Im desi, and need to have spice in my life. I even asked if I could make it spicy and the brother working refused and responded that everything is pre marinated. Talk about FRESH! Lastly, their attitude sucks!!! It's really not good for repeat business. No unity in our own brothers. I normally don't complain but the staff seemed very cocky and arrogant. Don't take my word for it, try em out! ★☆☆☆☆ Seriously TANDOORI FRESH=TANDOORI CLAY!!!
Yaks!!! . In my experience of many years this is the worst restaurant in terms of food and the attitude of the management. First let me talk about the attitude which is critically important in America to run any business. I think the management should take a course on the customer first attitude. The management is extremely rude with the customers. I read other online reviews regarding their crappy attitude and I cannot agree more. !
We ordered the Naan (bread) and it was full off clay powder. I almost felt like I am chewing clay instead of naan. . When we informed the management, they rudely rejected my feedback saying this is how naan is supposed to taste. On top of this they nickle and dime for every small things. The fresh word does not suite in the name of this restaurant as the food is not always fresh at all.
Brothers and sisters, please do not waste your hard earned money on this crappy restaurant. This restaurant deserves 0 stars but unfortunately I do not have any choice. Posted on September 28, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Delicious food, less spicy and a little less oily than at similar restaurants. But, the prices are kind of high, for a place where you order at the counter. They would do well to rethink their ambiance; every table has nice white plates in the center, which patrons are then supposed to help themselves to when they seat themselves. If you order a drink, however, it comes in a disposable cup. Unless you order hot tea, which comes in a real mug. Then there's the eating utensils; these are real, but the server just places them on the table in a stack along with paper napkins, when they bring the first plate of food out. The mish-mash of styles makes dining here not quite as smooth an experience as I'd like. If the prices were a little lower, this kind of service/ambiance would be acceptable, I guess. The portions are also not what I would call generous. Because we had to order side dishes, the cost averaged out to more than $15 each. As for the service, it was cordial but not professional. ★★★★☆ Nice restaurant. place is very clean, food is good. Price is a bit high but I guess one can live with that. One thing i would suggest to the gentleman behind the counter is, please refrain from getting too involved with every group of girls who come to the restaurant without a guy. Sorry to say its pretty annoying and non-professional, keeping in mind its a Muslim restaurant Posted on January 9, 2012 |

★★★★★ We ate here multiple times (4 out of 7 days) when were here on a 1 week vacation in Southern California. We even took our Arab freinds that joined us later on the trip and they enjoyed it too.
This place is literally as the name states and has some of the best food I have ever eaten and is comparable to eating in wellknown restaurants in Pakistan. The prices are reasonable and the quantity is a lot. Also the majority of their customers were non-desi.
The only downside is that they run out of food and sometimes can't make it for the rest of the day. This is good as it shows their food is fresh and they will not sacrifice quality. Definitely try the Tandoori fresh mix platter and Nihari which they give a huge hunk of meat which is very tender! If we are we will definetly be back! Posted on August 14, 2011 |

★★★★★ There is a lunch special for $8.99 that comes with naan, veggie, meat dish, and drink. The food was very fresh and tasted great. This isn't a bad deal.
The food here is better than Noorani. The restaurant itself is very clean and the staff was very friendly. Posted on March 13, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Nice restaurant indeed. It's a refreshing shift from traditional South Asian joints. Food was fresh and delicious albeit a little spicy (however we ordered nihari and it is supposed to be spicy).
Food portions were good and price slightly above average but not too expensive. Service was quick, courteous and friendly. Only reason I'm giving it 3 stars and not more is the presence of a flat screen tv blaring Indian shows and music non-stop which pretty much ruined the tranquil ambiance. ★★★★★ As the name "Tandoori Fresh" suggests, the food is really fresh. I tried their Chicken Tikka Masala and Daal, with rice and naan. The food is good quality and the service is good as well, with friendly staff. They even allowed me to use their Wi-Fi connection on my smart phone. Posted on July 20, 2010 |

★★★★★ Loved the food - really fresh tasting, good portion sizes. Nothing swimming in oil which is awesome. My favorite is the chicken wrap and seekh kabob wrap, which are wrapped in naan. I recently had the cholay too and they were delicious - right amount of spice, and not greasy at all. Looking forward to coming here in Ramadan...when we talked to the owner he mentioned that he will be having iftar for the customers. Posted on July 8, 2010 |

★★★★★ If you're looking for really good Indian/Pakistani food, Tandoori Fresh hits the spot. The Nihari, Haleem, Kabab Khari, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Kababs with Naan are amazing! The ambiance is very nice for casual dining and the staff is friendly. This place will leave you craving for more! Posted on June 26, 2010 |

★★★★★ This restaurant is delicious! I don't live in the area but whenever I come to visit I always make sure to drop by at this place. Their Aloo palaak and Lamb korma is especially good. I always try something new whenever I'm there. So far I've tried the biryani, karahi and haleem. They are all so tasty! I also like the whole vibe of the place. It's very laid back. ★★★★☆ PRICE-- 10/10 ($10 for very good sized halal meal! yay!)
FOOD-- 2/10 Not tasty. Will try more and re-judge
SETTING-- 9/10 if you want a stylish pseudo-fastoody place. (0/10 if you want formal).
LOCATION-- 10/10 (by major mall + major college.)
AVERAGE-- 7/10. Would go there again just because it's halal.
DETAILS-- A bit hard to miss because it's at a busy intersection, but not too hard. Nice trendy light hangings make the environment 'hip' but pretty close to the Denny's environment nonetheless. LOVE that they HAD THE WORD HALAL ON THEIR MENU! YAAYY! Very nice and stylishly of course, on the bottom. I want to support people who do that, twice as much. It's just so wonderful.
And yes, their value meal looks GREAT on paper and when it's in front of you (gorgeous plate design and food layout). Yet it was blah tasting. My spinach-cheese side and chicken korma tasted almost the same...it was like the same sauce was just getting spread around to all plates and the other ingredients were getting added for the sake of changing the looks. And I eat/love Indian food always, so I can justifiably say their food was just below par.
I must add though that I know two others who tried it and were amazed out of their minds. Of course, when I showed up to the store I didn't know what the heck those friends were talking about. You may end up loving it on your first trip too, like they did, who knows.
Mostly because of their outstanding location (swing by after you shop!) and halalness, I will be showing up again! Maybe even this weekend :) Hopefully I'll pick something actually tasty this time. Posted on June 11, 2010 |

★★★★★ This place is really good. They have value meal for $8.99 where you could choose several options from their list. Tandoori chicken is very delicious. Nehari is bit spicy but meat is very tender. This is the first time I see local desi restaurant giving top priority to healthier food and very nice ambience. Inshallah, I will go back and recommend my friends for very nice alternative desi restaurant Posted on May 26, 2010 |
