★★★☆☆ Food is great but the cashier who usually takes order is rude. And charge extra for small little things. Owner is nice. He refunded all my money when he knew why I was arguing with the cashier for charging me 1$ for sauce everything I go there. So I only go there when owner is available. Very bad customer service. ★★★☆☆ I'm giving this place a 3/5 because of poor service. Guy who took my order was rude and gave me attitude. He might've had a bad day so I won't let it affect my review. Hopefully it's a one time thing, iA. Pretty good place, they have a variet of entrees. The gym shoe was pretty good, gyro cheeseburger was really good, prices are very reasonable and fairly priced. Only thing I don't like is that you have to order most of the entrees which includes fries and drink instead of ordering the sandwich alone. Hot dog was okay. Posted on December 4, 2013

★★☆☆☆ I went here with my friends on august 11, 2013. We ordered 2 philly cheese steaks and one gyro cheeseburger. The philly cheese was not filling it was very small and had more bread instead of meat. Also we recieved a very small amount of fries with our order. Also, when we asked the cashier for a glass of water he said that they dont give glass of water, so he made us buy a bottle of water. I am not planning on returning to makkhis again. ★★★★★ First and foremost I would like to say Makki Grill has GREAT prices. You can beat a price of $5-$6 for a zabihah halal meal that includes a can of soda and plenty of fries. We ordered a Philly Steak Sandwich, Spicy Gyros Sandwich, & 2 Hot Dog meals. All the items alhamdulillah tasted great and were fresh made. ★★★★★ Fantastic addition to the North Side - the brother behind the counter was kind and helpful and also provided a space for me to pray (there are wudu facilities as well) so I think the info stating "no prayer space" is incorrect. The food was fabulous - we had an excellent, juicy philly cheesesteak that was not as oily as those at other places. We also had the 1/2 lb "chopped steak" which was a very thick homemade-patty burger that hit the spot - it came with all of the condiments already on it and everything was well balanced. They have a "whopper" burger that is thinner and they can do double and triple-patty burgers. We also had the gym shoe sandwich which is gyro with ground beef which was also good. The fries are well seasoned and flavorful. We will be definitely coming back to try their pizza and wings. Posted on March 30, 2011
