★★★☆☆ First of all the positives, i.e, service was excellent. The woman behind the counter who took our order, brought out our food and rang our bill was very courteous and helpful. Full points to her.Coming back to the food, it had it's good and bad elements.
For appetizer we ordered:
Chicken dumplings. They were quite good but not outstanding. I will give them 3.5 stars out of 5.
We ordered three entrees from the lunch menu:
1- Spicy Chicken Noodles: These were quite good, although a bit cold if you ask me. All the food was not piping hot as I would expect something to come off a skillet but just warm. I liked the texture and taste. A good 4 stars out of a possible 5.
2 - Lemongrass Chicken: This was the highlight of the lunch. Very flavorful and with the correct texture. A full 5 out of 5 stars. My compliments to the chef.
3 - Panang Curry - We ordered this with the beef. The base or the curry was just OK but the pieces of Beef that it came with were no good at all. In terms of quantity they were alright but the beef was not cooked well at all or it was of very low quality as it was extremely chewy. We could not break the beef with our forks and spoons etc. and had to spit out a lot of the beef pieces. A 1.5 star dish.
I hope this was a one off issue and that is not how they usually serve beef dishes.
By the way, none of the dishes come with rice and you have to order separate rice.
We ordered an order of plain rice and one order of fried rice, which were both OK.
Overall the experience was quite good other than the curry. If not for the Panang curry, this was a solid 4 star place.
Like I mentioned before, service was quick and our server was very courteous. A plus for this place is that they only serve halal meat, which is generally of higher quality, so the poor quality beef has left us puzzled.
But this may be a one off thing so, I will try them again if I am ever out in that area. Posted on September 10, 2021 |

★★★★☆ Good, solid halal Thai food. We tried a variety of items from satay to Penang curry, and the Orange Chicken was also delicious. The service was a bit slow, however it was friendly. This place wasn’t quite the level I’m used to up in the Bay Area, in terms of Halal Thai food, yet, it was enjoyable and memorable. I would return next time I’m in the Valley. I recommend. ★★★★☆ Great Thai place. Green curry rice was simply soul food. Also try their soups. Authentic. Chilling fish was great. Tempura shrimp and fried rice was ok not great.

★★★★★ Came here for the first time with my family and we all thought it was pretty good. We had the tom yum Kai soup, spicy mint chicken, beef broccoli and spicy fried rice. All the dishes were delicious and had just the right amount of spice. It's nice to have some good halal restaurants in the valley.... Let's just hope it survives the curse of the valley! ★★★★★ Appetizers:
Their Chicken Sate is really good and its not to soft/tough to eat through. Their Fried Chicken Wings was not all that greasy and battered down. It's a good batter/meat combination. Good Appetizers to start with.
Soups: The Wonton Soup taste very healthy and earthy since its clear broth and added with simple ingredients mixed in. If you want a soup that is not heavy and lite with a little bit of everything than I suggest you get this.
Noodles:
Their Spicy Flat Beef Noodles is one the best dishes I had so far and I highly recommend it for spicy food lovers out their. Their Pad Thai is really good and I suggest you get the combination to get a taste of every kinds of meats.
A la Carte:
The Penege Curry could be better and its a bit too thick but it's all good and I enjoyed with a side of Brown Rice which taste way better than with White.
The food taste fresh and is not heavy saturated with MSG or sodium. I will look forward to trying other stuff in the menu. So far I have eaten 5-items and all is good. Posted on September 13, 2014 |
