★☆☆☆☆ Very bad tasting food. I ordered takeaway Biryani, Chicken Jalfrezi and Madras Beef(their recommended). Biryani didn't had any spices in it , one of the worst I can say in Calgary, I made better biryani. It was so overcooked that rice was joined together. Jalfrezi had so much gravy. and Madras Beef never had beef it had Mutton or lamb in it. Posted on December 8, 2015 |

★★★★★ Excellent food. Best in Calgary. Price is also reasonable. Kabab platter is too good and so are all the gravies. Taste if biryani differs every time though. Must try. Excellent for take outs. Posted on September 19, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I am picky about my tandoori grill and kebabs. I find this restaurant does a great job. It's not fancy but offers tasty wholesome food with a good smoky flavour and the various types of naans from plain to potato filled are good. I even liked the jalfrezi and the other curries I tried. If you are looking for a good indian take-out place, this is a good option. Posted on February 7, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I have been there several times over the last few years. Sometimes, I get food to take out. The food quality and taste is quite good. I like the charcoal flavor of the kebabs and the Naans are quite good.
However, the service is absolutely terrible. They always have a tired and frustrated look on their face even when you are asking for even the most simplest things.
They simply just don't know how to run a business. I purchased just a few items that were about $15 in price and the guy who works there most of the time (short stature) tried to force me to use cash instead of the interac machine.
Even when he realized I am a regular customer, he had the audacity to force me to use cash out of his dishonesty and greed intents.
Their food is not exactly cheap by any stretch. When they price their naans at $1.50 apiece, you know they charge a lot to their customers for even the simplest things so there is no excuse whatsoever.
I was completely dumbfounded since using interac machines have become the standard these days. It is like asking someone to use a rotary dial instead of using a cell phone. I was about to ask the guy if he is living in the 1970s.
I know many of these business run this shady practice of trying to force the customer to use cash so that they can eliminate the paper trail and to eliminate the transaction so that it cannot be caught in the auditing process.
Such a disappointment. I will never go there ever again. There are tons of other restaurants. They lost a regular customer and I will tell everyone not to ever go their unless they are happy with receiving terrible customer service.
A lot of other great restaurants in the city to go to this terrible restaurant Posted on December 9, 2012 |

★★★★★ My family loved thier food esp. the BBQ which was made infront of us and would love to go there again and again. And just for infromation they are Sunni-Muslim & the food is 100% halal without any doubt. Posted on November 14, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ I heard the owner are Ahmadiya's, can someone let me know if this is true and if the food is authentically Halal. Posted on September 3, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I went looking for true Pakistani food and this is the place. Sitting area & staff are average but they serve fresh food in front of you, no microwave food. I ordered naan, karahi chicken and kabob, big quantity, tasty food and inexpensive. I would go back there again. Posted on August 7, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ I bought food and it cost me 78 Dollars. It was the worst food I have ever tasted in calgary. Please dont go there if you want to eat good food. Posted on November 4, 2009 |

★★★★★ Halal sign on window and owner is Muslim. Not a big or fancy place. Quality of service seems to depend on how busy it is. Place is open pretty late - suggest avoiding "prime hours". Customers are a mix of dine-in and take out.
I`ve read some of the reviews: some people like the food, others don`t. I think it is matter of which dishes you select. Some are really good, others mediocre. Dishes I would recommend:
1. Chicken Tikka Masala
2. Seekh Kabob
3. Chicken Tikka
4. Naan
Didn't think the biryanis or shammi kabob was that impressive.
Given the selection of restaurants serving zabihah meat in Calgary, I'm a regular here. Posted on December 24, 2008 |

★★★★★ Really good, inexpensive food. One of my favourite restaurants in Calgary. Used to be a fish-and-chips place before the Pakistanis bought it - fish-and-chips are still available in a corner of the menu (not many f&c places left in Calgary - and where else can you get f&c & naan?). Last time I was there was for take-out - they waited until I arrived for pick-up to make the naan, so it would be as fresh as possible. Haven't yet found anything on the menu I didn't like. Highly recommended. Posted on October 3, 2008 |

★★★★★ Really good food and staff is friendly too. Food is good, especially the jalfrezi and chicken tikka. Naan's are good too. The best thing is the price...for the quality food, the price is really good...avg $10 per item (meat) compared to approximately $15-16/item elsewhere. Posted on April 6, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ This resturent is above average, staff is average , I find one or two dishes which taste I like and referd to others chikken karhai and kabab seekh , naan and bryani and better chicken is just average. Posted on November 1, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food quality was very poor. The chicken in the biryani was stale. The fish pakora was very heavily battered with lots of onions. The butter chicken didn't taste like butter chicken at all. The only item that tasted good was the naan. Posted on March 18, 2007 |

★★★★★ Extremely friendly service and delicious home-style Pakistani food. Their butter chicken and saffron rice are amazing. Their garlic naan and shami kababs are quite tasty as well, and their portion sizes are generous. Food came quickly; hardly any waiting time. Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Their prices are low-reasonable. Posted on February 17, 2007 |
