★★★☆☆ Verbal assurance from staff that all the meat is Halal. Went here recently for a late lunch with 2 friends. We had the mediterranean meat sampler plate, appetizer sampler plate and fatoosh salad. The presentation was nice, but unfortunately the food was average. It was a little on the bland side. We also tried the lemon mint drink which was pretty good (made with fresh lemon and mint into a slushy drink). The service was friendly. The prices were a little on the high side, but expected considering the area. Posted on September 7, 2012 |

★★★★☆ AoA,
My husband and I went there the other night after reading reviews on another review site. The food is Halal, there is a sign by the counter and the website says "All of our meats are *HALAAL*" right on the menu, I have NOT seen one non-halal item such as ham or bacon on the menu.
Remember guys everyone may have different Zabihah standards. People eat things with vanilla extract, I don't. But one thing is not debatable, halal meat is halal meat and when the owner is saying on his menu on his website that the meat is halal, it is!
This is how it works: be seated, get menus from a server, order at the counter and the server will bring you the food, odd, we were sitting for a long time until we realized that we had to order at the counter, but worth it :)
While I felt the plate was messy in presentation, the kabobs were pretty good, loved the addition of garlic sauce (not all Mediterranean restaurants do that) the yellow rice, salad and hummus were standard, but the lamb shank was to die for and the mint lemonade was so refreshing!
Pricey, but the lamb shank was worth it :) will be coming back. Posted on January 12, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ I feel compelled to re-write my review regarding this establishment. On a 2nd visit, I was reassured once again that everything on the menu is zabihah halal. However, upon browsing, I noticed that there were items like ham and cheese and bacon on the menu, even though I had previously been informed that they do not sell "pork." So I had blindly assumed that this must be either soy bacon or halal turkey made in the form of bacon rashers (as I have seen being done in other establishments). Anyhow, I know better now. What I don't get is why a fully halal restaurant would add these items to their menu just to cater to their non-muslim clientele. I would now question their preparation methods and if in fact, everything is halal or would they on occasion, get non halal meats if halal were not available. How would we ever know?! When in doubt, I think it's best to avoid. Such a shame though, as their food is rather tasty. Posted on May 13, 2010 |

★★★★★ You should definitely try this place.
Owners are very nice and respectful people and the place is clean…. I mean really clean.
As for the food, this is probably one of the best Shawarma sandwiches I had in a very long time. The ingredients are all homemade , the chief puts an effort in “crafting” the sandwich and the taste is very consistent. Posted on February 10, 2010 |
