★★★★★ I had my dinner ordered from Hungry Bird last night and it was indeed a great experience. The food was very tasty. We ordered Aloo Papri, King Shrimp, Masala Wings, Goat bindaloo, Chicken tikka masala, Salmon tandori, Fish tikka, Shrimp tandoori, Anchari Baingan and Mango Lassi. Except to Anchari Baingan I loved everything else.
I definitely recommend this place. Yes, this is a halal place confirmed by the owner. Posted on November 19, 2020
★★★☆☆ This is a sit-down/take-out halal Indian (and advertised as American and Dominican too, inexplicably) restaurant. On-street parking is available but given the scuzz in this neighborhood, you probably want to leave the Mercer Raceabout at home. There are 6 tables, each seating 2-4 people. There is no bathroom.
This reviewer had the chicken achaari ($12), naan ($2.50), and pakora ($4). The chicken achaari was served with rice and, while reasonably well-made was nothing to remember. The portion size was appropriate. The pakoras were about average though the condiments (imli and chutney) were cheap-Indian-restaurant disappointing.
Overall a decent place to get a quick lunch or dinner, but nothing memorable. 3/5 stars for quality, 3/5 stars for value. Posted on June 5, 2015
