The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status. All Popeyes restaurants in Ontario, Canada serve Halal products, though as of 2011, the chain has shifted from a certified hand-slaughtered supplier to a certified machine-slaughtered one, as confirmed by Popeye's corporate headquarters. Restaurants confirm that everything is halal and that all ingredients are different to their US stores (i.e., all gravy and sauces are halal).

★★★★★ Just delicious! I love Popeye's Chicken! I usually fancy this place every time I drop by Bramalea City Centre on occasion. The chicken is very tasty along with the Chicken Sandwich, which happens to be my favorite item on the menu! The fries, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and coleslaw are all also quite nice! The customer service is average but the quality of the food makes up for it! Posted on August 14, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ Not as good as other halal Popeye's in terms of customer service. Cashier was kind of rude. They took down the halal sign but owners are known Muslims. They said halal sign was costing them business. Prices as we all know are pretty expensive at Popeye's compared to KFC
Very cheap (maybe because they're brown?). Charge you more for an additional dipping sauce and really skim on the napkins. Posted on February 25, 2009 |

★★★★☆ The chicken burgers are AWESOME! The chicken is crispy, and is very flavourful. Although some of the resteraunts themselves are not very clean, the food quality is great, and priced well. Posted on November 7, 2008 |

★★☆☆☆ I've eaten at Popeye's in Bramalea on several occasions and can say that the food is 'so-so' and the service is, if you can call it service, borderline surly. The food is stale, bland and greasy. The counter person is often obviously a relative of the franchisee - underpaid and not really wanting to be there. You get the impression that they're doing you a big favour by providing you stale, bland, albeit 'halal' fast food.
Why do I eat there? There are times that I am late for work and don't have the time to prepare something at time. I'm trying to become a practicing Muslim and trying to eat halal. Sadly, McDonalds and Burger King have not clued in to the fact Muslims are an ever-growing segment of society (at least in the Greater Toronto Area) and do not have "Muslim menus". If they did I would most certainly not do business with the likes of Popeye's. Posted on October 30, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have had a pretty bad experience with most Popeye branches. Its extremely sad to see that this is one of the main muslim owned chains here in GTA, and the level of service is awful! I have been getting stuff from there for 4-5 years now, different branches, but rarely do I get what I paid for. They always cut back on pieces of chicken, or try to pass in stale food. Just today I went to the branch at Dixie/Eglinton. I paid for a Po'boy's chicken sandwich and I asked him how long it would take since I had to rush back to work. The guy said 6 minutes. He gave me a stale and WRONG sandwich after 15 minutes and then took another 5 minutes to remake my order when I pointed it out. And finally when I got what I ordered the sandwich had one small piece of chicken in it with mostly lettuce and mayo. It's a shame to serve halal food but cheat with your customers. What's the point?
Go to Popeye's if you want to waste your money and love horrible service. Posted on October 9, 2004 |

★★★★☆ Very nice, tasty chicken fried. Generous size and of competiting price. Also, check out their toonie tuesdays. Their cajun fries are very nice and so is their spicy chicken. Must warn though that they are very oily. Posted on December 21, 2003 |
