★★★★☆ Allamdulillah Just like if were going to a nonmuslim place we can ask them to cook and prepare it separate as for the grinder the brother at the restaurant said the meat comes prepackaged. we should ask and never assume as Islam is a religion of fact not assumption. Also brothers be Patience sometimes our heavy accents and unknowing mispronunciation in Arabic words can confuse those who are native speakers. May Allah Give us right Guidance

NR DEAR MUSLIMS! AVOID THIS PLACE
On the night before 2011 new year, I was driving with some friends from Nevada towards Bakersfield and gave this restaurant a call as we were hungry and looking for a halal place to eat. I called in order to confirm the halal status. When I called, they told me that only their something burgers are halal and that too, must be asked for in order for them to make it for you. Then, I sceptically asked, do you use different kitchen utensils when handling halal and un-halal foods? I received a very inaccurate response, so after a few minutes the phone was given to someone else. I asked the same question, and then he said, we dont mix the halal and un-halal meat together. If your order is halal, we only use that meat. I told them that I understood that, however one cannot use the same utensils, same meat grinder, same pots and pans in order to handle halal and un-halal meat. Then the guy got mad and said, well you dont have to eat it if you dont want it. I said that I will gladly stay away from it, however the reason I have wasted my time talking to you is to advise you that a muslim is not permitted to tell other muslims that what he/she is giving them is halal when indeed it isnt. A cow that has not been killed in the name of God is considered najes and any contact with it makes that food uneatable. A few minutes later he hung up, but then after a couple minutes I got a call back from another guy saying, since the two are used distictly from each other, they do not influence one another and therefore there shouldnt be a problem. I responded that even if there is not direct contact, i.e. if an object such as a knife has touched the haram one and then the halal one, the halal one is no longer eatable. Then he said something like, OH! Well thats not how we do it, or something. A group of people like this demonstrate a poor understanding of halal and haram meats, and therefore should not be trusted in carrying out a position so important as providing people with halal food. This is exactly why I do not trust places that have both halal and haram on the menu, or places that offer alcoholic beverages on their menu. I advise other brothers and sisters to stay away too. I wish my essay sort of review has not bored you. I only wished to carry out my task of informing others of this situation and have absolutely no problem with the owners/workers of this restaurant. I hope inshallah that people understand what they are being given when they are told it is "halal" Thank you very much

★★★★★ Had the double Texas Burger , the wife had the regular one, both burgers were delicious. Really like the jalapeños in them. The beef patti's were nice and thick . The fries were all right. I have to say this place has a huge selection of shakes and icecream sundaes. Only their beef burgers are halal so no Philli Cheese Steaks so couldn't get the Philli Cheese steak sandwich which is kind of a bummer. The place is kinda old but very well maintained and clean which was nice. Posted on July 4, 2010 |

★★★★★ We stopped by here on our way back home from a camping trip in Yosemite. Only their beef burgers are zabihah. The store is owned and run by a Yemeni family. I spoke with the son of the owner and he was very nice and polite to answer any questions we had. It's a typical fastfood location like Carl's Jr. or Taco Bell.
I had their avacado texan burger and it was amazing. Service is fast and the restaurant is clean, although a bit dated. Posted on June 23, 2010 |

★★★★★ I had stopped here some time back while passing through Bakersfied. This place is awesome if you want American style fast food. Indeed this is one of the well kept secrets for seekers of halal food in small town America. Their burgers and pastrami sandwich are out of the world and extremely affordable too. I wish they would just move their restaurant as is to the Bay area. This will be a million dollar business with long waits with the kind of prices they have. Posted on December 26, 2009 |
