7031 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003
Food Corner Kabob House was established in 1997 by owner Najib Sidiqi. The first branch of Food Corner was in Annandale, VA, an area populated with a diverse community from all areas of the globe. Najib put his Afghani homestyle recipes to work in his kitchen and founded an original and authentic Afghani cuisine. This restaurant is not only popular to local Afghans, but to all who enjoy a great flavored and very well portioned meal at great price. Added on April 12, 2000 and last updated 9 years ago

★★★★★ I'm surprised I haven't left a review for Food Corner yet. My wife goes all the time. This is our favorite location. My daughter loves the soup at this location. The chicken kabobs are delicious. The shami kabobs are okay (I personally like Kabob Palace's version better). The gyro platter and sandwich are worth getting.
This place is consistently good. Posted on June 1, 2017 |

★★★★★ Awesome gyro sandwiches. Posted on October 14, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place sold me an expired Yogurt Drink (4 days after labelled expiration date); when I called the manager to tell him about selling expired stuff, instead of apologizing kept arguing with me saying "oh stores can still sell products up to 7 days after the expiration date". Moreover, this branch of Food Corner Kabob Housesfood portions are far smaller compared other branches. I also bought a gyro sandwich which was very salty that I barely could eat. ★★★★★ Having come here every time I visit the area, it has by the best afghan food I've eaten. Nice staff and I highly recommend this place. Posted on April 18, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Good food. Portions are good. Kabobs come with rice bread salad and a side. Very small location though. I can never find a place to sit. Posted on November 13, 2012 |

★★★★★ Food Corner is my family's favorite restaurant. It's the only place my dad truly enjoys eating at. It's forever spoiled him...and kind of ruined our chances of being able to fully enjoy eating anywhere else. Every restaurant gets compared to Food Corner...and usually falls far short.
Honestly, everything is good here. Like, seriously everything. Each of their meat dishes are amazing. Their veggie dishes are good. Even their seafood is incredibly good. They offer the standard selections for Afghan dishes, but they just do it better, with each and every one. The service is excellent, everyone that works there is very hospitable and friendly. Prices have gone up year after year, but you never regret it after your meal. Totally worth it.
They have a bunch of locations now, but this is the original spot. The food is the same at all of them...but deep down, this is always gonna be the realest Food Corner for me and my family. Posted on August 23, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Okay so seeing the sweaty amigos handling your food isnt very pleasant and neither is the place very clean, dirty floor, sticky tables.I live close by and I have only eaten from here once. The food was very average to be honest but neither was it expensive. I mean for the same price I could eat somewhere way better. And with that 3 star I am being generous. ★★★☆☆ Not sure what Kasmiriboy is talking about below. The food is average, at best, and this is a self service restaurant. Also, what ambience is Kasmiriboy talking about? This place is dirty and messy inside and the tables don't get cleaned very often. Its real hard to communicate with the spanish speaking staff at the front counter. Posted on October 17, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ Good food at a good price. Food Corner is far from formal, but it's great for getting a quick (and large) bite with friends (or on your own). I've been to both I and III several times, and will likely visit again if hunger strikes while I'm in the vicinity.
The gyros are the stand-out item here. The remaining food appears to be available only to round out the menu. Posted on September 29, 2010 |

★★★★★ great food! friendly place. Kebaps and kapli pilaw are delicious. The side dishes are a little bit greasy but still taste great and authentic. Posted on October 9, 2008 |

★★★★☆ I've only been once, but the food is spectacular. Mashallah! I also ate at a local masjid and they get food catered from there it was very good. My only problem was the guys behind the counter were very flirtatious. They spoke spanish not arabic, and they didn't know I was spanish. I haven't been back because of that. ★★★★★ A very friendly customer service, also have amazing food, one of the best kabobs i have every eaten, literally. Posted on December 3, 2007 |

★★★★★ this place is amazing! My family rarely goes out to eat, and everytime we do, Food Corner is our favorite spot, even though it's 40 min. away. They give plenty of food and you always leave satisfied. They season the food so well, I've never had meat this good anywhere else. I've never had gyros as good as theirs from any other place! Everything I've tried from this menu is good. Sometimes the seating can be troublesome if there's a rush, and the bathrooms aren't too great. The staff is very friendly and outgoing and they give great service. You MUST try this place! Posted on July 23, 2007 |

★★★★☆ Good food, and staff is nice. Sometimes too nice. The guy who took our order once flirted with my wife in broken Arabic. He was unaware of the fact that I speak Arabic.
Other than that, good food. Posted on June 26, 2006 |

★★★★★ My family and I love this place and go very often. My brother asked them if they were halal and they said yes. (As Muslims, we should trust one another unless there's a valid and substantial reason not to.) They are known for their gyros (just don't go at the end of the day when they're running out). The rice, chicken kabobs, and lamb chops are also very good. The platters are a generous size. From my experience the general restaurant is reasonably clean. There's no real service, you go, order, pick up your food, sit, and pay. Posted on July 12, 2005 |

★★★★★ Okay, not THIS is what I am talking about!!! They have the BEST chole and chicken kabob. There food is really worth the money - biggest problem you ALWAYS want to sleep after eating there! A place real Afghans LOVE! However, the place is small and dowdy/tawdry so if you dont expect much in that way (or are taking to go) you should be FINE! Posted on October 28, 2004 |

★★★★★ Assalamu Alaykum
I forgot to mention that there is another location in Springfield called Food Corner II. They have different owners and are not affiliated with one another. Do not assume you will have the same experice at both places. My experience is only with the Annandale location and it has been very positive. Posted on August 16, 2004 |

★★★★★ Assalamu Alaykum
I have come to know the owner, Najib, who is an Afgan musician. I honestly have not broght up the subject of the meat being spefically zabiha. In a conversation he told me that he gets his meat from Washington Lamb (I may be wrong, but it is what I remember. It possibly could be another place.) Najib, told me he only does this for AST and for the area Muslims. You definitley get your money's worth with the food portions. I eat here often and have never been unsatified with the food or the service. Posted on August 6, 2004 |
