★★★★☆ The food quality seems to have improved since the first reviewer went to the restaurant. This was our second trip to Tempations and we chose to have the buffet selection on a Saturday evening. The food was fresh and the selection large between the vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The only disappointing factor is that they don't serve any beef based dishes. (It seems that very few Indo/Pak restaurants in this area serve beef.) However, the place is clean, the wait staff was accomodating and the menu prices reasonable for the quality of food. ★★★☆☆ This restaurant serves Indian and Indo-Chinese food. They have a large number of tandoori offerings, from a rack of lamb to grilled paneer in the colors of the Indian flag! They have a lamb section on the menu with a variety of lamb curries, as well as a South Indian section (dosa, idli, and tamarind rice). Their Indo-Chinese food includes soups, fried rice, chow mein (veg, chicken and shrimp), and some chicken dishes (like cashew chicken and lemon chicken). But this may be the right restaurant if you're crazy for paneer, as ten of the 21 vegetable dishes involve paneer! I ate at the buffet and I have to say, it was rather average. The desserts were not very good, but the tandoori chicken was tasty. Their naan was also fairly good. I wasn't impressed by the vegetable jalfrezi; it was clearly made of frozen mixed vegetables. The waiter volunteered that the meat was halal. The restaurant has a spacious seating area and a nice, clean ambiance. If they used fresh vegetables and maybe added some variety to their menu, it would be a reasonably good restaurant to eat at. Posted on December 29, 2004 |
