★☆☆☆☆ I called ahead and asked if the food here is Zabihah halal. The person on the phone said no, they do not offer Zabihah halal. He said “The chicken is halal, it’s not pork. I don’t know what Zabihah is.” Posted on February 18, 2022 |

★★★★★ Per the owner, the menu is fully Zabihah Halal. Sandwiches are decent and affordable. The owner is very friendly and jokes with the customers. Walking distance from King Street - Old Town Metro and the USPTO. Posted on February 12, 2020 |

★★★★★ Came here with family, had calzones and chicken parm, good was great but staff/service was even better! Would return for sure Posted on June 23, 2019 |

★★★☆☆ This review is based on having the Steak and Cheese sandwich. It was OK. Meat was tender but dry. The staff, on the other hand, was anything but dry. I would go back just to hang out with them. Maybe next time, I'll actually try a pizza and my opinion would change. Posted on April 26, 2019 |

★★☆☆☆ Updated review: I've been coming here for almost 10 years. I used to love this place. Not any more. They only impress when they have competition next door. But whenever the business next door disappears (and this happens a lot), they ratchet their service down like no tomorrow. During dinner time, delivery orders take priority over customers in the store. As I was giving my order in person, the cashier (one of the 2 owner siblings) interrupted me 3 times to take 3 different phone orders, but still managed to charge my credit card with great efficiency. Because of the interruptions he ended up completely losing my order and I only found out 45 minutes later when I asked how much longer it would be. They had no record of my order. No apology, not even a veiled attempt at one. They took my order again, and another 30 minutes later it comes out cold and tasteless, thrown together as if they did not believe that I placed an order in the first place. ★★★☆☆ While good was good owner asked me my definition of halal which I told him is zabihah cut islamically. He replied he asked coz some folks say everything halal except pork. I said that's liberal lose definition. Then I asked r u zabihah. He gave me a vague answer in a yes. But I doubt halal ness of this place. Please ask for meat supplier certificate and confirm when you go. Posted on November 23, 2013 |

★★★★★ I am a regular here. I work close by, so there are times when I go to Quattro's 2-3 times a week. I'm honestly always satisfied. I used to only order the same things here that I get at other halal places, and I never used to really care for Quattro's. The more I tried out different things on the menu, the more I started to love this place. Now, I can honestly say, this is one of the best Halal restaurants I have probably ever been to.
The steak and cheese and the wings are not that great. The cheeseburger however...THE best halal cheeseburger in the DMV. It's an incredibly juicy, double patty burger, make sure you order it on a kaiser roll so they don't give it to you in a sub roll...unless you're into that, I guess. Some of the pasta dishes are good. The calzones are pretty good, though they stuff them kind of weird. They have pre-made cheese calzones they just cut in half and stuff with meat or veggies and warm up, so everything just sort of...sits in the middle.
The chicken caesar salad is really good. My favorite thing for a while has been the turkey club sandwich, on rye bread. It's phenomenal. The pizza's are decent. The white pizza is amazing! The buffalo chicken pizza is also really good. Everything else is pretty standard NY-style pizza. They do sell by the slice too, which is convenient.
They actually do weekly specials, so there are always new options, which get creative sometimes - they're always $9. Generally, it's pretty reasonably priced. The pastas and dinners are pricey, but everything else is around $6-8. The service is great, the staff is really friendly and outgoing. It's a family owned business and you can tell everyone is very serious and passionate about making good food. Also, plenty of space to eat in the restaurant, even for big groups. They also deliver.
FYI there's also a little space in the back that can be used for prayer. It's not obvious, so if you're there and you need to pray, just ask and they can show you where to go. Posted on August 23, 2012 |

★★★★★ Great food and good service. Quattro Formaggi has a full halal menu and is located near the USPTO buildings. The food is fast casual and features pizza and other italian foods including chicken parm. Posted on July 6, 2012 |

★★★★★ Wow... Great food and great place for sitting in and dinning. We ordered burgers which were tender cheese steak that my cant stop talking about. Great Ckn quesadilla were wonderful and salmon was great aswell. Will definitely be coming back again and again. And the owner is so nice and so particular about zabihah food and no alcohol. A gem in Alexandria. Posted on April 2, 2012 |

★★★★★ Steak and cheese is cheap and delicious. good Pizzas as well.
Update: try their specials that is not on the printed menu.. great place to eat. We ordered their pesto chicken with spinach pizza.. delicious. Even my mom loved it, who try to avoid pizza. Posted on March 15, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I went to this place for dinner yesterday. We ordered the bruchetta, Chicken parmesan. The portions were very generous & my toddler enjoyed the food too. I asked about the meat, they said halal & we dont serve pork. & then when we finished, the owner politely said everything on our menu is halal. Not sure how genuine that is if others have had issues with finding out. Prices were a little high but thats probably for the location & not for the standard. I probably would go back again, Inshallah. Posted on December 2, 2010 |

★★★★★ I've been frequenting this restaurant for three years now. I've tried almost everything on the menu --- the best things are the Cheeseburger, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Turkey Club, Chicken Salad Sandwich, Stromboli, and any type of pizza. Everything is alright but nowhere near as good as good as what I mentioned previously. The staff has always been friendly to me when I've gone and know me by name. Regarding its halal authenticity, there are a lot of brothers that I know that were going here long before me and they all said they were shown the packages of meat w/ halal certification when they inquired. Overall --- good food, very clean, a bit pricey. Posted on November 28, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ I usually don't post reviews but I felt compelled to do so for this place. The food itself is ok, nothing to write home about. Burger is probably the best thing on the menu, steak and cheese is ok, pizza is ok, nothing you can't find somewhere else. Everything else I have gotten has been below average.
The service, on the other hand, is AWFUL. The last time we went we waited over 30 minutes for 2 slice of pizza (all they had to do was warm it up) and bowl of soup. When I asked all I got was a "oh yeah it's coming" and then waited another 10 minutes to get it. No apologies, though he did throw in another slice of stale pizza. On other occasions I have called in a sandwich ahead of time only to come in and wait another 15-20 minutes to get it - and this was not even peak time. The owner is also extremely rude and short.
I'd also double-check or ask to see the boxes for anything being claimed as halal to verify. All in all would not recommend, you can get the same or better at a number of other places with much better service. Posted on November 10, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ Good variety of items available here. The quality of the food varies though, some items are average, others are really good. You need to experiment somewhat to find what you'll like. Posted on August 1, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ i worked at quattro formaggi for a week. my reason to quit was the owner is serving non zabihah beef peproni, sausage, meat for steak and cheese AS HALAL ZABIHAH. Please make sure by checking the boxes. Posted on March 14, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ Hi,I dont think is place has halal menu at all .Just make sure to ask them to show you halal labals on product. They do sale pork dishes.ask some think to prove that it is halal. Posted on August 30, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ This place is ok. I only had the sub sandwiches so far. For Pizza, the best is Stone Hot! Hands down! I like the food at Quattro but the place is not entirely clean. They never have soap in the Men's room. Old trays with finished plates and utensils still remain on the table hours after customers leave (Yes, even when it is NOT busy!!). The owner is ALWAYS in a foul mood. In short, he is the reason I may not return there. Posted on July 27, 2009 |

★★★★★ I personally thought their food was really good when i had it over the weekend...My cousin is a very famous food critic and he resides in this area, so he was very high on our opinions on the food from here...One of my friends told him I've had better and my cousin was really offended....i personally thought their chicken quesadillas were really good and thought this was probably the best halal place near DC... ★★★★☆ i know that place. the food is very good. one of the staff told me what is zabihah and what is not.
gyro meat, chicken fillet and wings , bacon, turkey, ham, ground beef are 100% zabihah halal.
as far as peproni, sausage, steak n cheese, chinken tenders, salami are not zabihah halal they are just made of non zabihah beef or turkey....
Ask the owner for the box of these non zabihah item and u will know urself. Posted on September 22, 2008 |

★☆☆☆☆ Whenever I go to a halaal restaurant for the frist time I always politely ask the same question and I usually get a polite response, but not with this place. I just called this place to inquire about their halaal meat. I asked the person who answered the phone, "Do you serve halaal meat?" He replied, "Yes we do." I then asked, "Where do you get your meat?" He said, "What?" I repeated the question, he again said, "What?" I repeat the question again, He said, "What?" I repeated the question yet again and he said, "Hold on." About 45 seconds later he came back on and I repeated my question, he said, "We serve halaal meat." I asked, "Yes, but where do you get it from?" He replied, "We get it from a place." I asked, "Could you please tell me the name of that place?" He said, "No I cannot, you have to trust us." I told him thank you, but I don't trust you. I don't think anyone else should trust them either. Posted on January 21, 2008 |

★★★★☆ There's nothing on the menu, the website, or posted in the premises that would lead one to believe that the meat is halal. Thus, I decided to stick with non-meat products when I recently dined in. There were a number of interesting daily specials, but I decided to stick with the standard NY-style pizza, which comes in numerous varieties (by the slice or whole). The two slices I had (white and spinach) were fine, but not outstanding, being moderately oily and somewhat bland (much like the pizza I've had in NYC, actually). The building was clean and attractive, as well as quite busy, thanks to nearby office workers on their lunch break.
In short, it's the kind of place I would sometimes visit when in the area (I, too, work nearby), but not one I'd go out of my way for. Posted on June 7, 2007 |

★★★★☆ I ordered the pizza and the wings. Good pizza and tasty wings. I asked the delivery man, he was a middle eastern brother, said that food was halal. He said most of the workers are muslim and the meat is halal.
I will order the burgers and paninis now. Posted on March 12, 2007 |
