The Islamic Council of Queensland (ICQ) is a Not for Profit Organisation and was formed in 1969 as the peak umbrella body to represent the interests of the Muslims in Queensland. ICQ represents numerous organisations and mosques across Queensland cities and towns stretching from Cairns in Far North Queensland to the south side including Brisbane and the Gold Coast (almost 1.9million square kms). ICQ is a member of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC) hence is structure and governance reaches out nationally to all Muslims across Australia.
