For the Persian people living in greater seattle (Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, etc…), options for Persian grocery stores are Rose Market and Oskoo. In terms of freshness and availability, you really just need to get lucky. I’ve been in both stores mostly to pick up flat bread and maybe some canned khoreshts, and bread is always a hit or miss. It can be very fresh or not fresh at all. I just wish store owners were able to gauge the demand for their goods and forecast appropriately, but to be fair it’s probably not that easy considering the limited client pool. Anyways, if you’re looking for Persian food and spices, you should be able to find them here. And the owner does his best to take care of the customers. They have also just finished construction of Line 2 light rail, and station is about 15 minutes walk from the store so if you don’t own a car or don’t feel like driving you can conveniently take the light rail.
