★★★★★ Don't let the seedy looking retail strip location and a nondescript storefront put you off this gem! I picked them only coz they were one of few halal places open on Thanksgiving Day for last minute plan change...and oh what a find!! From the first taste of swoon-worthy soup served in authentic rustic looking vessel to the very last sip of their tea, everything was an ever improving pleasant surprise. Server Cindy was the perfect dial setting on the discreet-but-attentive, something not many are able to pull off.
The portions are small but so are the prices. I actually prefer that so everyone can try multiple entrees & pass them around the table. We were able to try 5 different ones.
Easily the best halal Thai food I've had anywhere in the country (yes, incl even NYC, DC). They are now my mandatory stop anytime I'm passing within 10 miles of this place.
Full halal menu, printed and clearly stating this fact. Posted on April 19, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Be warned: This establishment is only partially halal.
Allow me to say that before I entered this establishment, I took a look at Zabihah. "Full halal menu" is what Zabihah said.
I walked in with friends and we noticed a problem:
- There was a menu item called "Halal Chicken"
Having an item that specifically is denoted as Halal implies that the other menu items are not Halal. To verify our suspicions, we spoke with the employee and were informed that only certain types of chicken were halal. Thus, not everything on the menu was actually halal.
We thanked the employee for their time and promptly left the establishment. I don't like eating at places that are partially halal. I won't be returning here unless I order a vegetarian dish. Posted on December 22, 2012 |
Thanks for the update - we have modified this listing |

★★★★★ We ate here multiple times on our 1 week vacation in the end of july 2011 to Southern California.
This place is owned by muslims and is halal and myself and my husband prayed in the store too. The food was amazing and price was cheap!!! The service was very good too.
We got the Thai Tea, Pad Thai Noodles, Sate, BBQ Chicken, and Beef and Brocolli. Overall this place is a diamond for muslims for quality, service, and especially price.
A must try and is one of the best places I have ate at! Posted on August 14, 2011 |
