★★★★☆ It was my first time trying it today, it looks like he was on vacation for a while and he returned today. There was a sizable line. I ordered the lamb and rice, which was tasty. The brother running it was very friendly and the lamb and rice was good. I would say baltimore platters tastes better, but I would come back here for sure. Posted on June 26, 2018 |

★★★★☆ Metro Halal cart has been moved opposite of 1700 North Lynn Street and under the overhead bridge. I simply love the food they server. Posted on November 9, 2014 |

★★★★☆ This is the only halal cart I enjoy eating at in the DC area. Personally, I think this guy trumps the Chicken Guy in NYC, but not everyone agrees with me. The platters are great, it's like $7 for an all out combo platter (Chicken & Gyro meat) with rice and salad. Of course, get extra white sauce, and some hot sauce. They're pretty filling, you can also just get a sandwich for $6 if you're lookin for a smaller meal.
The timings suck though. He's only there from like 9am-3pm, on weekdays. He basically just works the lunch rush in Rosslyn. It's probably a good thing. If he was open all night like the NYC Chicken Guy...I would always be eating there. And I'd be morbidly obese. Posted on August 23, 2012 |

★★★★☆ This is a nice food cart right outside the Rosyln Metro stop. It's a great spot to grab some food on the go (especially after Jummah prayers which are held inside the United Methodist Church in that vicinity). I had the chicken sandwich which was great along with a soda. The gentleman who runs it is very nice and will make your sandwich to your specifications. Prices aren't too bad either. It's nice to find a zabihah food cart. Please support it !!! Posted on January 15, 2011 |

★★★★★ I go to this every Friday with my friends from school. The taste is amazing and as a New York i find this much better than the now 53rd and 6th sell outs. The rice is fresh, the chicken and lamb are cooked nice and tender with fresh sauce. Ask the guy to cut up pieces of pita into it. I usually bring my own bottle of water. Posted on August 22, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ This place was pretty good. It has more of a Desi taste than the NYC cart. I will get another one if I am in the area and need a quick bite to eat. Posted on February 22, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I went here with another friend from NYC. The food was pretty good, it is in the style of 53rd and 6th, but its not the same. The portions are smaller, its more expensive, and it doesn't appear that the food is cooked in front of you since the stand is a different style. Still, the food was above average, I'd actually give it a 3.5 - the brother working inside is really nice, so thats a plus. The map shows the location wrong, this is actually located near Rosslyn metro. Posted on June 14, 2009 |

★★★★★ I'm SO HAPPY this place opened up. I live in Clarendon, and it's really convenient for me since there is no halal meat market walking distance in Clarendon (you have to drive). Yeah, you have East West Grill, but that's still like a good 15 minute walk (and really it's only good for burgers). With the weather this hot it was nice to see a halal food stand right next to the metro.
Aside from being convenient, the food at this place was excellent. I saw the owner looking at his food sign outside and thought I would go over to help a brother out. He's only been there 4 days so of course business is building up slowly.
I got the chicken gyro and it was DELICIOUS. The kabob was not spicy, however the owner knew this because he asked me if I wanted hot sauce (pretty sure he is Pakistani, so he knows we only eat the spicy stuff). The meat was tender and delicious, very fresh. There was a good amount of sauce, but nothing overwhelming.
All in all, I highly recommend this place. I'm going to to go there again next time I am home during the afternoon hours. The owner is professional and friendly. Posted on April 28, 2009 |
