★★★★☆ The Chicken and the Lamb is Halal here, per verbal assurance from staff. I ordered the pomegranate chicken wings, which had a good sauce, but the wings were slightly under cooked (but still edible). Also had the chicken & lamb kebab combo plate with rice (ordered the half dill rice and half regular rice) which comes with two grilled tomatoes. The kebabs were good. Wish they had some butter for the rice. For appetizer had pita bread with fresh cilantro and feta cheese (great) and also had the hummus which was also very good. This is a fancier sit down place and get's busy on the weekends so you may have to wait 20 - 30 minutes for a table. Very friendly staff and service was great. Posted on September 10, 2015

★★★★☆ They DO NOT serve Zabihah meat! Used knew the owner and used to go here during the past. I've catered from here before and if you talk to the owner he will make your kabobs from zabihah meat if the order is large enough. Besides that, the food is good, they started out with humble beginnings and are doing well, their food is good, their chai is good, their deserts are good! If he would just add zabihah to his menu or even the option to order zabihah he would do well. Chicago really doesn't have the large Persian/Iranian restaurants like California does! Chitown has a huge young Muslim population who loves to eat out, if someone opened an ALL Zabihah Persian food places it would do very well. Posted on December 6, 2013

★★★☆☆ I go to this restaurant with my non-muslim friends when they want to eat Persian. The only Zabihah item on the menu is the lamb shank, all other items are not Zabiha. ★★★★★ This delightful little storefront restaurant serves up some of the best Persian food around. The babaganoush was nutty and slightly sweet and the hummus was excellent. I had the barg which is grilled beef served with grilled vegetables and parsley rice. The meat was tender and delicious. For non-meat eaters, the menu is limited but there are a few vegetarian entrees. There is a small wine list and an unintersting assortment of beers. Posted on December 4, 2005
