HALAL SUMMARY
The menus at this restaurant clearly state that Halal food is served. Several dishes (including bone-in chicken and lamb) are clearly labeled Halal on the menu.
★★★☆☆ We ate the kobedeh kebab at this place on three occasions before we found out it was not halal. I didn't read the reviews and nor have I asked the resturant so my fault for doing that. Their menus don't show halal but we found out upon ordering online as the menu had some items labeled halal. Food is pretty good though but wish it was fully halal to enjoy. ★★★☆☆ So I love my share of kabobs--especially lamb and beef. Unfortunately only their lamb and bone-in chicken is halal but I did order the "lamb and rice." I only went to Moby Dick because my friend, who just moved from CA, goes here about 5 times a week and raves about it. Last night he realized he is finally sick of it. The food was nothing special, the kabobs were decent, but nothing to write home about. The decor and atmosphere lacked appeal and the prices were steep...but it was Georgetown. I probably won't go back again. Posted on March 6, 2011
★★★☆☆ i have known the owner for many years, the owners are Muslim but the meat served is not, this information comes directly from the owner. Posted on June 26, 2007
