★★☆☆☆ I really disliked this restaurant. We paid a whopping $60 (2 adults and 1 child) for seekh kababs (maybe 1-2 turkey sausages chopped up and mixed up with sauteed onions and tomatoes!), biryani (also pretty unrecognizable), kheer (skim milk with rice at the bottom - no thick texture), chicken 'kadhi' (kadhai? because it really was just a curry). It seemed to be Hindu-owned, so I see no reason to list it as halal. I haven't paid so much for restaurant food in a long time. And for food that was so nondescript. The problem with a lot of indian restaurants is that they try their hand at punjabi/north indian meat dishes, and they do not do a good job. Or even make recognizable dishes. NR Brother Hassan, did you ask them to fix you a haram beef biryani? I am sure you would not be able to get that either, because most of the Indian establishment(Hindu owned) do not carry beef. Posted on January 23, 2006 |

★★★★☆ I recently ate at this establishement since there is a sign stating that halal food is availbale upon request and weekends buffet is halal. So after friday prayers we decide to stop there and have beef bryani. We ordered our meal but to our dissapointment there wasn't any halal beef according to the waiter and all they have is halal lamb. I'm not much of a lamb person, but they could have easily fix me up with a haram beef bryani and i wouldn't have been able to tell the difference other than what the menu have stated. This really convince me of their credibility in offering zabihah meal, I would go back again and recommend others. meals are a little spicy and pricey, but for the sake of allah, money is only temporary but halal is forever. wassalam Posted on April 8, 2004 |
