NR ALCOHOL, ALCOHOL, ALCOHOL, EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK. I ASKED THE LADY WHO TAKES ORDERS WHY YOU SELL ALCOHOL WHEN YOU KNOW IT'S " HARAM " SHE SAID " I KNOW IT'S HARAM BUT PEOPLE ASK US TO SELL ALCOHOL" I ASKED WHAT WILL YOU SAY TO "ALLAH" WHEN HE WILL ASK YOU, WHY YOU SELL " HARAM ", SHE REPIED WITH A SMILE " I DON'T KNOW "..... YOU DECIDE, THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER FULL & 100% HALAL RESTAURANT IN THE AREA, I KNOW THAT BECAUSE I LIVE IN THAT AREA.
WHY ZABIHAH LISTED ( NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON PREMISES) WHEN YOU ONLY HAVE TO REALLY BLIND NOT TO SEE ALL TYPE OF ALCOHOL BOTTLES RIGHT FRONT OF YOU. Posted on August 17, 2012 |
We've updated the listing per your observations |

★★★★★ I went there last night...was on a trip through that area and it was getting closer to 9pm. The two of us were starving...called around other places around that were here on Zabihah.com..but everyone was either closed or closing shortly. Then I called Uppland Kabab. I asked if we could dine in and the gentleman on the phone said we close at 9pm..but you guys come on in. He kept the restaurant open only for us. I ordered the Soltani Kabab which came with one skewer of beef kobideh and on skewer of chicken bonless kabab, rice, and some delicious hot souce. The meat tasted really good. I have eaten at alot of persian restaurants, including Hatams, and this restaurant will definately rank among the best ones in my mind. The restaurant was clean as well as the bath rooms. The owner and his service was just awesome. I asked him about the meat before ordering and he said it was halal. Despite the fact that the restaurant was almost an hour over its closing time...he was offering desert and tea and telling us to take it easy. I would definately recommend this place and go back again whenever I get the chance. We ordered Humus, two Soltani Kababs, Two pieces of baklawa, and two Teas. The bill was $34. ★★★☆☆ I ordered the beef kabob and chicken barg. I thought I was getting two skewers because I asked but I only got one. The price was lower so it was OK. The beef kabob was OK, not nearly as good as Hatam and a lot smaller. The chicken barg was OK. The texture was good but it tasted like it had vinegar. The rice was not great. It tasted like Uncle Bens instead of persian fluffy rice. All in all it was OK. I may try it again, but different items. My total was $15. At Hatam it would have been like $25, but I would have gotten double the food and top quality. I wish I lived closer to Hatam. Posted on August 9, 2008 |
