★★★★★ This is a mostly non-halal bar/full-serve restaurant that has the option of a halal hamburger patty. It is unclear to this reviewer whether cross-contamination is a concern. Parking is available on-street, but since this is on the Danforth, you'll want to leave the Toyota Supra Twin Turbo at home.
The restaurant has an extensive list of options for toppings. Regardless of toppings, the hamburger defines outstanding, though it should at its price. The french fries and freshly-cut potato chips were also excellent.
If cross-contamination is not a concern for you and you don't mind the non-halalness of the rest of the menu and you don't mind paying a little more for quality/ambiance, this is an outstanding place for dinner or lunch. Posted on March 13, 2014 |

★★★★★ We went to break our fast, add $2 for halal option burger, and is cooked on separate grill. The burgers were amazing and the fries too. Poutine was made with veg gravy sauce. The service was excellent. Average burger (incl fries) is $15+tax, but worth it. The options are extensive. Posted on July 27, 2013 |

★★★★★ Great burgers and service. FYI server informed us that anything fried is in same oil as non halal chicken. Posted on July 20, 2013 |

★★★★★ One of the best Halal burgers in town hands down. The beef patty was succulent and cooked to perfection. Not your regular burger joint, where the toppings are always the same. So many different combinations to choose from. The Tower of Onion Rings with the hotter than hell sauce is a must try. Staff is friendly and very welcoming. Will definitely go back again. NR The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro is offering a halal beef patty from Cargill which is Zabiha certified. The patty tastes good and there is a wide variety of topping options and many side dishes to choose from. The milkshakes are also highly recommended.
This is a full service restaurant where you are seated, your order is taken and you are served. The burgers take about twenty minutes to make, but you can order appetizers that leave the kitchen quickly. All in all, it is an experience worth trying. Posted on October 24, 2012 |
