A NOTE ABOUT THE HALAL STATUS OF HERO CERTIFIED BURGERS
| |
|
This restaurant is listed as sourcing some/all of its meat from a known supplier of Halal meat. This means that the management or employees of this restaurant may not be aware of their own halal status if asked. However, they may be able to confirm their meat supplier is Beretta Farms, in which case you can proceed if you feel comfortable eating there. Feel free to click on the name of the supplier and/or certifier listed in the Halal summary to learn more about their Halal procedures. Even if you do decide to eat here, we recommend you politely ask that they clean their grill and ensure no contact with non-Halal meat or alcohol. |

★★★☆☆ Awesome food.
The halal certificate is only for Angus Beef burger. I'm not sure if other items (chicken, Turkey, hotdog, and poutine) is halal. Verbal statement of halal (especially by non-Muslims) isn't enough. Posted on September 23, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ Positive: Only place to get 100% hormone free, antibiotic free, range fed ANGUS BEEF!
Negative: Bland taste (needs some salt) with mediocre tasting fries.
Overall: The only place to find “have it your way” Halal Angus burgers.
Revisit: Yes, to give them another chance (c’mon they got Angus Beef) and try their chicken sandwich. Posted on August 4, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ The concept is cool, and the toppings are generous and fresh. However, I have had way better burgers than what you get at Hero. The meat tasted mixed or processed and had a rubbery taste to it. It was tasty, just not what i was expecting. This place is average. Posted on July 1, 2012 |
