★★☆☆☆ I’m not one to write reviews and I never have on Zabihah.com but I am today to describe something I learned about Fanoosh today. For context, I’ve bought food from this place more than five times, but today I learned something about their pricing. I think customers need to be informed of the sneaky pricing style this restaurant has so that they do not spend more than necessary. I will also talk about the good aspects of this place as well. The Bad: The place is already a bit pricey to begin with as most burgers are over $10 each. Their regular Zinger burger is $9.24, and the spicy Zinger burger is $11.99. I asked them what the difference was and if the breading was different, and they said it was not different, and that you were essentially paying that extra money for “peppers and spicy sauce.” I thought that this was a bit dishonest and questionable, but take it as you will. The Good: The place is very clean and minimalistic. I have had both their chicken and beef burgers and they are good. They are nothing spectacular, though, and there are many burger places in Houston (Halal) that are much better. I would not say it is worth the price, but if you are close to the location and hungry, this is a decent spot to eat. Their chicken biryani is fantastic though and I recommend it. Overall, no problem with the food or the environment. Main issue is the dishonest pricing with the Zinger burgers. I would give 3.5 stars if it wasn’t for the pricing. Posted on August 9, 2019
