★★★★☆ Delicious food with nice presentation and good portion size. Beef rib eye steak was best followed by chicken Ali Nazik (funny name) and mixed grill. They started serving with bread and olive oil. Bread was very ordinary. Steak came with fries and salad. We also ordered the whole fish with fries and salad (forgot the name of the entree) which was not too bad but would not order it again. Rice could have been better. Staff was friendly and reassured that meat is halal. Walls had pictures of the mosques and ironically there was a bar serving alcohol too. Parking was a bit difficult. Four main entrees were enough for us 5 adults. Costed around $96 including tax and gratuity. All in all very good food and I would go there again. Posted on September 11, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Nice place; big and crowded at times. I tried the Chicken Ali Nazik which was amazing. I also tried the swordfish kebab, but I found it to just be average. The bread is very soft and fluffy. The wait service was very quick, so I didn't have to wait around much. Posted on August 24, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Some good things/bad things:
GOOD:
1) I agree that they definately have the best KUNAFEH i have ever tasted in my life. I personally do not like Kunafeh ... because I had never had it like this. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS
2) I also do not like fried calamari - until i tasted theirs. IT WAS AMAZING (better then any Italian restaurant - anywhere).
3) The nuggets & Fries (yes, pretty traditional turkish meal the kids and I had - haha).. were DELICIOUS! The nuggets really tasted like they came from McDonald's (what i was raised eating). I was impressed.
4) I had shrimp kebab w/mashed potato and veggies. The portions were nice (small but what we are suppose to eat) and the display on the plate was very nice.
5) The staff was very nice and the wait staff were friendly and good ... although I must say that I guess maybe it was the manager - he kind of went to everyone's table and asked if they are enjoying their food - but skipped over us. I do think that they prefer the Goodfella wanabes and not arabs/muslims.
Bad:
1) the turkish food is so so (nothing special)
2) there is alchohol and a large VISIBLE bar
3) they have a belly-dancer. YES - I was shocked when my kids said momma look and there was a less than 1/2 dressed woman dancing around
4) as a hijabi i felt a bit awkward with the mafioso types in there looking at me like I didn't belong. I WAS SO RELIEVED when leaving when I saw another Hijabi.
OVERALL - the food was good (again - the Kanafe and Calmarri YUMMY!!!) and I liked the variety of selections (not just "turkish"). It was very expensive ($7 for fries & 6 nuggets for each of the kids) for us but pretty mainstream with other Turkish restaurants. Posted on May 18, 2011 |

★★★★☆ This is a pretty new restaurant. Nice atmosphere, very clean and the food was VERY good. We also had this restaurant cater 2 birthday parties for us and the food was fantastic. The restaurant is definitley appropriate to bring your family and children.
They do serve alcohol, as they have a large noticiable bar.
This restaurant had the best Kunafeh I have ever had. Posted on December 22, 2009 |

★★★★☆ We noticed this restaurant open up a little while ago so decided to go there last weekend. the seating area is nice, very much a copy of something like TGIF or Arby's, TVs all around and everything. There is a second dining area but it seemed like it was reserved for private parties.
The food options were plently. everything from traditional Turkish, to middle eastern, to Italian food were on the menu. The quality of the food was very good, fresh cooked meat and done just right, not too dry and not too juicy. We ordered the Lamb chops, Tandir, Mixed Chicken Platter, Chicken Tikaa platter, and Bhetti Kebab dish. Tandir was the only dish that personally was too bland for me, otherwise all the other dishes were great tasting and well cooked.
Price is a bit high for my personal taste but its definitely somewhere our family can go every few weeks for a nice sit down meal. With one small appetizer and 5 entrees, the total was about $85 before tips. Definitely a restaurtant i would recommend everyone should try at least once if you are in the NYC area.
