★★★☆☆ We had been going here for many years but last week when we drove by there it was closed for good. Posted on January 6, 2019 |
|
|
★★★★☆ I ordered Goat Karahi for two to go. Fresh taste sprinkled with freshly cut ginger. Generous amount of tender goat meat and spices. Two freshly made soft naans. Fast and polite service. Posted on August 20, 2018 |

★☆☆☆☆ Chicken is machine cut. Posted on June 17, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I had food there and was sick right after! I will not be going back. Plus the source of meat is not halal Posted on March 18, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ The food is not good. It makes you feel sick afterwards. Small place and people were not very friendly. Posted on February 9, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ I came here for a wedding and the place was a little small but it was alright. I didn't like the food but liked the desserts and appetizers. I don't know about returning for the food but will for the appetizer and desserts. Posted on December 15, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ I went here for buffet dinner which was 9.99$,though staff was really nice but food was stale and cold and it was saturday night.Would not recommend it to friends n family. Posted on September 11, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ This is the biggest rip off in town. Made an Iftar stop there couple of days ago while visiting that area. More than half of the items on iftar buffet ran out within first 30 minutes and two big pans full of pakoras and samosas were left on the scene, no more replenishment rather pans were removed. Iftar dinner had regular paya, chana, chicken and rice with lettuce only salad. Gulab jaman and kheer as dessert but as expected ran out in a little bit. Small batches of gulab jaman were replenished though. Most pathetic customer service without any smile. $14.99 per head for this kind of menu and service will definitely bring no one back, at least not me and my family. Posted on August 14, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ This is certainly of the the most popular South Asian eateries for parties and receptions in the Northern Virginia area. The wait staff and service is excellent. However, the quality of food varies tremendously between items -- I've found the chiken tikka and chapli kabab to be quite good, whereas the beef seekh kabab to be only average and the lamb to be poor. The ambiance of the setting is a bit odd, like a grand hall that's seen better days, but it works well enough for a family restaurant. The prices are quite reasonable, and extra rice and naan usually comes without a surcharge when dining in. Posted on March 15, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ Very bad resturaunt. We went there to eat buffet which was 9.99 and after eating they gave us the bill and CHARGED AN EXTRA $23 for service!!!!! That is outrageous because our bill should be fifty something since five people ate. Yet they charged us $73! Will never come to this place again and you should not either. I just don't understand how is there service involved in buffet when we pick and eat the food ourselves. This is the baddest buffet experience ever. Have eaten at lots of places and they never charge for service. Bathrooms are rotting. Posted on January 23, 2011 |

★★★★☆ We've been there many times. My favorite is butter chicken & nihari. Most of their dishes we've tried are good. Most of the time I call before I get there and order my food since I live far from there. When I get home I usually find they forgot to give the right # of rotis. It's a disappointment to pay for something and not get it. By the next tome we go there forget to mention to them that they forgot our rotis. Their sweets are good as well. I would recommend this plac! The owner Atta is nice. Posted on November 15, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Went here for dinner. The thing the stood out the most was the excellent customer service. We were given free iftaar, followed by a buffet dinner. The buffet was reasonably priced with average items. I was very impressed with the way the staff treated us. It was busy at iftaar time with a lot of people waiting to be seated. The owner came up to us and arranged seating in the back of the restaurant for us. We were treated extremely well. The wait staff was very attentive and our food arrived quickly, despite it being very busy. We tried the butter chicken and the seekh Kabab. Both were tasty and reasonably priced. The naan is also very tasty. We will be back. Posted on September 6, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ I eat here once in a while, but I do not go out of my way to eat here. Usually I eat there at a family event or reception. The food is honestly above average and eatable. However, it is not a restaurant I would go recommending with my reputation on the line. Posted on November 28, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ I remember coming here as a kid and loving their food. Now, their food tastes very generic, like a McDonalds or a Pizza Hut. However, they do still have a very good selection of sweets that are delicious. Their buffet items are ok but are only worth getting if they are fresh, usually they just sit there for hours at a time. I would recommend catering from them for large parties. their catering is better than the food you would get while dining in because they make it fresh for you when you come to get it. Overall, I would say that if you are looking for a good place to sit down and relax with your family or want to have a large get together with all your family, then this is the place for you. ★★★☆☆ nice food, sweets, and service is ok but friendly.
I have always had a nice experience dining here. Posted on July 10, 2008 |

★★★★☆ This is one of the veteran establishments and although the food quality isn't as good as it once was, it is still better than many of its competitors. Order from the menu, not the buffet to really enjoy your meal. Posted on April 18, 2007 |

★★★★★ We reluctuntly go there because of the mixed reviews and found the restruant fine. The food tasted ok, not overly spicy and with moderate taste. The service is not that good, but given that they have lunch and dinner buffet 7 days a week, it rounds off. Unlike other desi restuarants, the servings were generous. This place is always crowded and that's a proof of their reputation:) Posted on March 1, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ This restaurant has very poor service its like a dhabba, i went there for my sisters b-day party (with advance booking) they didnt even cook the chicken, they spilled hot shorba on my baby nephews head, if u want to go for an outing i highly recommend you not go to this restaurant it will be a horrible experiance!!!!!!! ★★★☆☆ The buffet's not that bad. The food's ok. The tandoori chicken is good. We've hosted a couple of parties there. The thing I dislike the most about this place is the loud blaring TV that displays some very un-Islamic things. Posted on July 12, 2005 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ I had visited them after more than a year. The food quality is gone down, considerably. The food is very expensive. The weekend buffet is now $8.95, even for kids. It seems to be that they have Non Muslim staff as well. Please inquire about halal authenticity, before ordering. Posted on June 6, 2005 |

★★☆☆☆ Went there once for food.. absolutely bland and flavorless not to mention dry. The only thing good about Aabshar is their sweets. So go there to buy Mithai. Posted on December 10, 2004 |

★★★★★ Great service and Excellent food! I love coming to Aabshaar. Everything on the menu and the buffet is delicious. The sweets are delicious too. Posted on September 28, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ The restaurant seems to be very clean and nice. We had the buffet, but it was all toooooo hot for me! Even the rice! The only things I could eat were the salad, bread, and dessert! I don't like anything spicy at all! If we go again I will order from the menu and ask for NO SPICES! The other patrons seemed pleased with the food, though, so I'm not a good judge on this one. I do find it confusing that they have had an "under new management" sign up for over a year. Does that mean the management has changed again and again, or that it changed once (when?) and they never took the sign down? Hmmmm. Posted on August 23, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ Assalamu Alaykum
I have been very pleased of the food only here. Authentic Pak/Indo food. Although, it has been a year since I have gave them my business. I had ordered two large dishes of chicken biryani for a pary and it seems as if they forgot the chicken. there were only a few pieces in a sea of rice. But I hear they are under new management. The people at Shiney's in Annandale are the same owners. Posted on August 6, 2004 |

★★★★★ Everyone has a different opinion i guess
i see some good and some bad reviews with all the restaurants. I liked the buffet which had everything most places i go to have. Im not middle eastern but do eat at alot of different pakistani restaurants and have eaten here years ago and had a very bad experience but heard they were under new management so thought i'd give it another try since they are so close to my house. The food is great and the service is excellent. Very big improvement beats any restaurant in the area. Posted on April 26, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ Wouldnt go there again, went there a couple of years ago and it was much better, there quality and restaurant have definetly gone down since then. We had their buffet and it was soooo heavy they had nihari, haleem, pie, biryani, etc nothing grilled and it was really oily too. They dont even have dessert with their buffet, and to top it all off their naans were horrible too. Dont go there to waste ur time and money Posted on April 24, 2004 |

★★★★★ This place has one of the best foods I have had, especially the weekend buffet. I have verified the halal authenticity myself from the owner. The attitude of the staff is very cordial. Posted on March 22, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ I recently visited this place for Dinner. The buffet line had to have been there since lunch as the food was just stale looking. I ordered from the menu....the results were not that bad. I also got some sweets (mithai) from them as well, however not that impressed with that at all. Posted on March 21, 2004 |

★★★★★ Its not really a Middle Eastern Place, more like a Pakistani restaurant. Carries good collection of Sweets as well. Also has quality CHASKAA's like Samoosas, pakoras, etc. Nice clean family environment, also good for parties and other celebrations. Posted on January 15, 2003 |

★★★★★ Its the best family restaurant in Northern Virginia area. There Chaskaas are good too and so is the Mithai.
