★★★★★ Ordered catering for my son's 1st birthday party this past weekend. I went with the Gold Package. Everything was awesome. All adjustments I had requested, i.e. making the biryani milder were adhered to. There was way more than enough food. Most of our guests commented on how great the food was as well. Their Bhagaray Baigan is one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. Posted on February 20, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ A pretty good take-out spot. I really enjoy the ginger chicken, but their curries can sometimes be too oily and poorly prepared. The biryani is good but I honestly think they have the BEST beef samosas in town - very tasty Posted on December 4, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have been going to this place now since they opened their location in Mississauga. They very quickly attracted their customer with consistant quality food and proper quantity served as per their price point. As they started making money their quality dropped a bit but i've been greatly sadened by the kind of poor quantity they serve especially in the meat curries.
I've had been served ONLY bones in their "palak gosht" more then 5 times in the past year when I stopped taking it. It followed in all the meat curry dishes as firstly most of it is bone and on top of that most servers usually try tu stuff as more gravy and less of meat which means you end up with nothing. I used to be able to have 3 servings in their "Small" size when it first opened now if I get even "ONE" I find myelf to be lucky.
After inquiring from my friends, they have been having the same complaints with the restraunt, and more so from the branch in Toronto. Mississauga was way better compared to Toronto, which i realised when I switched my university last year.
I want to mention here I am a student and therefore did not have many options available to me and had no other choice then to keep on requesting the server everytime to please not serve me bones but usually to no avail. When I questioned various servers of why I keep getting bones and gravy the only answer I get is "oh the meat just falls of it", which i don't understand how and why is that my problem and why should a customer be paying for it!
The sadest part is that in Ramadan this was the only food I had to open my iftaar and at many a times I have been starved in Ramadan because of lack of food and only gravy and bones. I have complained numorous times to the on site managers but to no avail. I hope this reaches the owners and brings some changes in their quantity. Posted on September 19, 2012 |

★★★★★ Its been a ritual for me for the last 7 years. Whenever I visit Toronto, I always come to this place and order one and only one thing: ** Sheikh Kabab Roll **. Haven't seen anything like this anywhere nearby. Now my wife is also addicted to this thing. Posted on August 22, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Food is great however serious customer service problem. This is typical of Pakistani restaurants, they need to improve significantly in their service. Posted on May 25, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Lol at 'biryani-nazi'!
Can't go wrong with their food. It's pretty much the standard at most desi households/dawats. Posted on March 23, 2011 |

★★★★★ The food is great and it's the only reason I keep coming.
The service from the men there is ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. God forbid should they ever crack a smile or be pleased that you're a paying customer! What the hell is their problem!? Sometimes I hate going there just to see their bitter looking faces. Honestly! 1 time out of 10, they'll say 'thank you' when you finish paying and leave. Its like they want you to pay and get the hell out. They're the 'biryani nazi' lol
I hope they read this, especially the men there.
What really pisses me off is that they give away free quran and lectures and have ayah's all over, yet the way they treat people gives this really cold and unfriendly image of Islam which does dis'service to Islam and Muslims!!! I hope they all read this and re-think their attitude. Posted on February 13, 2011 |

★★★★★ Great food, clean and relatively newish place, food isn't greasy and is cooked well.
This is a take-out-only place.
Love their chicken and lamb biriyanis. Kabab rolls are also very good! Posted on August 7, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I will agree that since their renovations, it's a much more pleasant place to order your take-out. The food is tried and tested and has passed my taste test. On a side note, I think it's silly and inefficient to have 10 plasma TVs displaying static images of the menu. Posted on August 2, 2010 |

★★★★★ Looks like they have been reading all the bad reviews on Zabihah and have improved... Its only a take out place now and it looks very clean and modern. In my opinion it's one of the best take out places in Scarborough, try the fish pakoras and of course the chicken biryani is one of the best. I'm a regular here now. Posted on July 26, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I only go to the take-out location and have been going there for several years. The service is great, prices are great, food is great.
Also, if you have any complains about your food, tell them, because they will exchange your item. Posted on February 19, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ I guess they are not certain about their recipe because i always find different versions of it everytime I go there. I only keep going because out of the three versions ive tasted, theres one i really liked so i go in the hopes of getting it again. When their kababs are hot, they taste lovely but most of the time it tastes cold and rubbery so if you can get them to make it fresh, you will love it Posted on February 2, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ I recently ordered food from their catering service and was disappointed when I came home to find out that they gave me packaged pitas instead of freshly baked naans. I had no choice, but to heat the pita's while my guests waited for the food. When I called they quickly told me that with the package deal you don't get fresh naans, but these bagged pita's instead and if I wanted the tandor naans, then that would be extra. I would have rather paid the extra money if I had known, but I wasn't told. If you're ordering catered food, it is assumed that the food would be freshly made, no!? I also found that one of the pita's in the package had mould on it. When I called back, I was told that it wasn't them that made it. So I just wasn't satisfied with that part of the service. I also asked for the food not to be too spicy for the kids that were attending my home, but they didn't bother with my request. Other than that, the food wasn't bad, but I don't think I will be ordering from them again. Posted on December 4, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ Catering is not so Good, 3 times in a row Biryani was not done properly for catering however taste is good. Posted on September 24, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ Over the last few months, the place looks cleaner. I have always done take out and the service can be sporadic--even for take out. However, the food is good. The haleem in particular was excellent. Posted on September 16, 2007 |

★★★★☆ I prefer the take out place on Sheppard ave and so far I have found their Biryani the best itom on their menu. On weekends, they have lamb biryani, which is probably the best I have eaten anywhere (Gharib Nawaz' is a close second), mildly spiced and aromotic. Trouble is that they sell out fast. I have not understood the business acumen of this approach - why not make more, and make it more often if it is such a hot item?
The tikkas are in the zone, but it is the biryani and the Gajrella (carrot halwa)that takes me to silver spoon. I have tried their haleem and their Karahi and would rank it slightly above average. Their naan's are good if eated fresh and tend to become stiff and rubbery after an hour or so.
Now, service is something that leaves a lot to be desired as well as aspects of cleanliness. Silverspoon should come of age and take an example from Babu's right across from them. Babu's is organized, always well staffed, quick and expedient to serve and they are very clean - but their biryani is totally different to Silverspoon.
If you cater from Silverspoon for a largish event, they do a really good job on the dishes. Certainly, silverspoons fills a much needed demand for good and cheap biryani. I do not find their otheritems to be as resonably priced with the exception of the gajrella. Posted on November 2, 2004 |

★★★★★ Great family atmosphere, and friendly service. We enjoyed our time there. The catering was very impressive. I just got them to cater for my sister's wedding. I highly recommend it. Also the quality and quantity of their food is great. Posted on October 28, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ The food here is really good, however the venue needs some help. If they just put as much care into the cleaniness and decor of the restaurnant like they do their food it would be one awesome place Posted on October 12, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ I did the terrible mistake of ordering from their catering branch. The people who claimed that they serve old food are on the bulls eyes. Not only is it old food, but its over priced, and they have commited mistakes on my orders more than three times. Posted on June 14, 2004 |

★★★★☆ One of the best Chicken Biryani's in GTA. Reshmi Kababs are also finger licking. Markham/Shppard (Takeout only) branch. Posted on January 28, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ needs more cleanliness Posted on January 18, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ The food is very poor quality. They are not interested in the customers but rather the bottom line. Once the food was good and the service crap, but now both the food and the service is very poor. * one star out of five. Posted on January 13, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ This establishment used to be much more quality oriented. Now you can tell that the food is microwaved most of the time.
The Fish Poos is the only decent dish they have. Posted on January 9, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ YUK! Posted on December 31, 2003 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place has a long history of health infractions. We found this out when we tried to use them as caterers. The stuff that's gone on there, is quite disgusting. Subhanallah, CLEANLINESS IS A PART OF IMAN. Posted on December 31, 2003 |

★☆☆☆☆ I use to go there when it first opened and had a few family gatherings there. The quality and service ues to be "So so" but after a recent visit i was %200 disgusted the table we're dirty, they cutlery had water and finger tipz staintz and they food was ewwwww and i must say i was totally embarrassed by they fact i made my guestz eat there.would'nt eat there if u paid me. ★★★★☆ I had a chance to eat there in Sep, 2003. I must say I didn't find any thing to complain. Service was ok but can be improved. Biryani was a home run. I did order Nihari as a take out for my friend, he wasn't too much impressed. However, you did find a touch of home once you get to know the people who are running. All in all not a bad joint. ★★★★☆ Catering Special only $5.99/person (min. 30 persons). Banquet Hall Special $12/person, with 7 items(min. 40 persons). Posted on October 2, 2003 |

★☆☆☆☆ Do not eat here. I was shocked when I once ordered Nihari. I was able to get a glimpse of teh kitchen through an open window as they prepared my 'meal'. They pulled out this dirty huge plastic container from the freezer. Scooped out a few scoops of 'nihari' as if it were ice cream. Placed it in a frying pan and proceeded to 'cook' (melt) it. I was tempted to leave the restaurant right there and then. I believe it was left over nihari from last "Baq'r Eid". I hope they clean up their act soon. I wish there was an option less than "very poor". Perhaps health inspectors should pay them a visit. Posted on May 30, 2003 |

★★★★★ Silver Spoon catered my sister's wedding and did an excellent job. We booked them again for my own. Perhaps not the best choice for vegetarians as the selection of veggie dishes is limited. Posted on April 2, 2003 |

★★★☆☆ Not much variety in the buffet. Taste was ok. Posted on March 15, 2003 |

★★☆☆☆ This place is ok...ive bought biryani once (takeout) and it smelled fuuny, this place is only good if you are catorring for a large party Posted on February 18, 2003 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ Too Spicy and greasy. The curries and gravies are covered by a one inch thick layer of oil. Service is inconsistent as people mostly eat the buffet. Posted on January 9, 2003 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ "The food is really good for catering only.otherwise for dine-in its just the waste of money, because the food is not fresh & place doesn't worth it.The food could be fine if they serve it fresh." Posted on December 28, 2002 |

★★☆☆☆ "Last time I bought takeout Biryani it smelled bad, I opend it and it seemed as if it was old food, i've ate there before in the resteraunt, and its okay. Not an amazing place to go, but its ok." Posted on November 6, 2002 |

★☆☆☆☆ Place was like a zoo, I almost stepped on a child, the tables were filthy and everything was clustered. Service was horrible and food was just ok. I would never go back even if it were the last restarurant in the world. Please dont take your wife there, they stare at women. As always my reviews are 100% honest like me. ★★★★☆ A newly opened restaurant, variety of dishes were available for eat-in and take-out. The take out has another shop counter in the neighbouring store, this keeps the place quite for dine-in. Posted on December 31, 2001 |
