790 Military Trail, Unit 9, Scarborough, ON M1E 5K4
Founded in 1972, Popeyes has more than 40 years of history and culinary tradition. Popeyes culinary heritage is built upon the rich Cajun and creole flavor profiles that are unmistakably Louisiana. We continuously draw upon and celebrate this heritage to inspire new, authentic menu creations the world craves. Popeyes distinguishes itself with a unique New Orleans style menu featuring spicy chicken, chicken tenders, fried shrimp and other regional items. This unique and flavorful food has allowed Popeyes to become one of the world's largest chicken quick service restaurants, with more than 2,700 restaurants in North America and around the world. The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status. All Popeyes restaurants in Ontario, Canada serve Halal products, though as of 2011, the chain has shifted from a certified hand-slaughtered supplier to a certified machine-slaughtered one, as confirmed by Popeye's corporate headquarters. Restaurants confirm that everything is halal and that all ingredients are different to their US stores (i.e., all gravy and sauces are halal).

NR Does not carry hand slaughtered Zabiha anymore for past 3 years now. Posted on December 27, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ I've seen it on multiple occasions, and when it happened to me I decided to quit going there. Not only that, but if you look them up on dinesafe, they are a disaster when it comes to keeping food safe. They have multiple violations for failing to keep food from contamination, and have failed to show their food handlers license (which is just a 6 month course. Here is the link for proof:

STAY AWAY! There are much better options in the area, and you're welcome. :) Posted on June 16, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I'm a regular here at this particular location as it is clean and always get great svc. Try the tender chicken pieces (chicken strips) one of the best I've had. Not much else to say besides yum! Posted on November 7, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I moved to Canada from the United States. I was really surprised to find that here in Canada, the Popeyes was halal. So, I drove to the closest one. Here, I enjoyed a great meal, with fast service. I was also happy to report that all of the menu is halal. Wow, Canada is a great place. Posted on August 3, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Believe me I'm not a fan of fried chicken, but the spicy chicken sandwich gets two thumbs up! Have it while it's hot or not at all. And I wish they had regular fries! Posted on May 6, 2010 |

★★★★★ I cannot find the popeyes location on lawrence,
but that is the original popeyes, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. true to original flavour and recipe.
though service is slow, and employees could be nicer and better kept. Posted on September 19, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ Food is semi-decent, especially the fries. But for a fast food restaurant service is shockingly and consistently slow. Posted on January 26, 2009 |

★★★★☆ i LOVE popeyes, but their deliver service is very poor. it took over an hour to get my food...i could have drove there in less time. Posted on June 19, 2007 |

★★★★★ Its definitely better than KFC. I assume everyone has heard of it, but for those who havent, its cajun style fried chicken, really delicious. Their spicy fries taste amazing as well. Sometimes they even give you extra pieces/fries with your order. I normally ask for home delivery, pretty convenient and fast Posted on February 8, 2007 |
