★★★★☆ The food here is good however the owners have changed I believe. The previous owners were Muslim and very friendly. The beef shawarmas were great with extra garlic and hot sauce Posted on February 1, 2013 |
★★★★☆ Their shawarmas are quite good, especially the lamb. Posted on December 23, 2009 |
★★★☆☆ The shawarmas are really good, but the service is terrible. Be prepared to bring cash; there debit machine does not work and has not worked for months and the ATM is all the way at the end of the plaza. The line ups are usually always long so be prepared to wait at least 15min. The place does not look very clean either so get your food to go. Posted on November 18, 2009 |
★★★☆☆ The shawarma sandwich was quite bland but then we went around 11:15 so the owner told us that he ran out of stuff that actually makes the shawarma tasty so we should pass by again. Im willing to give it to try when I have nowhere else to go :) Posted on September 16, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ Attitude of the person who was taking orders was very very bad, they dont know how to treat customer! Shawarma was below average, they didnt put proper things inside the shawarma & even didnt bother to ask from customer what they want inside the shawarma. Also beef sharwama was so bad in taste n smell n fatty ; dont know what they have put inside.
Over all it was first & very bad impression me and my family got from them. I will not recommend anyone to go there & waste time & money on it. Posted on June 11, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ Cheap meal, the shawarmas are 2 for 6 bucks and fairly sizeable portion. The taste is just average. A little bit on the oily side and the blend of flavours just makes it taste like a regular wrap. I wouldn't call it a Shawarma. Posted on May 11, 2007 |
★★★☆☆ Their USP is the two shwaramas for 5.99. Otherwise, the quality is just about average. Posted on April 9, 2006 |
★☆☆☆☆ I asked one of the workers where the get their Halal meat from and he didn't know. I was turned off. Haven't gone back since. Posted on March 31, 2006 |

★★☆☆☆ I do not know why some peolpe still saying this restaurant has a good Shawarma..
I am syrian, and tasted the best Shawarmas ever done.. Farahat used to have a good Shawarma even last year.. not anymore, very greecy fatty...we could nt finish it last 2 times.... Posted on December 15, 2005 |
★☆☆☆☆ Very salty chicken and extremely poor service! Very typical of arab people Posted on October 10, 2005 |

★★★★★ love the shawerma, love the service...the place is a little small for eating in...but the food and service are excellent nonetheless - 4.5 stars Posted on October 7, 2005 |

★★☆☆☆ This joint used to be my favourite place for shawarma, but I'd have to say that it'll be a long time before I try again. The Shawarma has clumps of fat everywhere, and it's hard to swallow. This wasn't just once or twice but the last few times I've been there. The service is not as bad as some others have said though. Posted on May 1, 2005 |

★★☆☆☆ After reading sooo many good reviews about this place, I decided to pay a visit. And I was disappointed to say the least! I tried the lamb shawarma and half of it was full of fat and onions. Sorry guys, but I din't like it at all. I think I'll never go back again. Posted on October 14, 2004 |
★★☆☆☆ Salaam Alaikum,
beef shawarmas were average. I have had better. Beef was not spiced properly as some of the other shawarma restaurants I have tried. Fatty meat is used. Good value for the quality which doesn't say much. Spice up the meat some more and you'll be on your way. Posted on September 15, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ this place has good food. but ther is no place to sit inside, and i was waiting 45 minutes for a shawrma when there were no customers in a store....realy shouldnt take that long. Posted on August 8, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ Assalamalaikum...i went to Farhat's two time..n both times..i didnt get to eat the shawarma..the first time when me n my husbend arrived there..like we were 1 second late and the guy there said that they r closed..though we just so a person coming out of the restautrant with bags of shawarma...so ok..that waz little bit exceptable...but the second time..it waz sick..i went there in my ninth month of pregnancy...and i really wanted to eat chicken shawarma...and after waiting in the line for 13..15 minutes..the guy working there asked us for our order..and wehn we asked for the chicken...he said that they ran out of chicken..GOdd..that waz so disturbing..like he should put a sign over there..right after he runs out of a food..so that people wont waste their time...and u know wht..if the person working there said it nicly...i wouldnt say anything...but the way he said it ..waz so rudeeeee....like he doesnt care..what i dont understand..if you are running a restautrant...you should have a bran to realize that you need to have some back up meat in case it runs out...like we go to a non_muslim restautant..and i am amazed by the service they provide there...and it waz so disoppointing to see a halal restautrant like this Posted on July 3, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ assalamo alaykum,
after reading so much about Farhats and its shawarmas I decided to pay a visit to it.
The shawarmas there were so good that I NEVER went back again nor do I plan on visiting it again.
To be honest, the toppings didn't look fresh. They looked quite stale. Also, it was too dry and please don't ask for it to be spicy as it is already spicy as it is.
However, the service is nice, but what good is it when you do not even like the food there.
No offence to anyone. Just my humble two cents on the shawarmas at Farhats. Posted on March 16, 2004 |

★★★★★ WOW Halal must mean delicious! 2 filling pitas for 6 dollars. I will go back again...and again! Friendly gentleman that works there as well. Posted on February 6, 2004 |

★★★★★ Highly recommended very tasty shawarmas with very good price. Posted on January 3, 2004 |
★★★☆☆ the beef shawarmas are ok, but the amount of fat (dihin) in it, makes it hard to swallow... Posted on December 31, 2003 |
★★★★☆ Small place, good pricewise , popularity can be judged by 15-25 minute wait for service. Shawarma's are always fresh well cooked and hot , they don't cut coroners here to speed up service time here, well done keep on serving Halal, I will definitely drop in again if I am in the neighbourhood! Posted on December 30, 2003 |

★★★★☆ I loved the Lamb Shwarmas... they are not common in this part of the world. You get one free sandwich for every buy... so... the price is excellent. The location is a quiet one, right beside Nasr Foods. The place can be crowded at times. It takes about 15 ppl to fill up the place. Posted on December 1, 2003 |
★★★★★ Three words for the beef n chicken shawarma's sold over there....Yum Yum Yum! It is located right beside our very own Nasr Foods. Posted on March 28, 2003 |

★★★☆☆ Overall standard is average. Especially Shawarma is not the best. Posted on March 15, 2003 |

★★★★☆ "Farhat's is a small little place located on Lawrence Ave. I've been there a couple of times, and the food was absolutely tasty and fulfilling compared to all the other Middle Eastern restaurants in Toronto. Their beef shawarma is their specialty. However you've got to be patient once your there, service does take a while. But it's worth the wait! This place is a plus in my book! Definately recommended." ★★★☆☆ The food is OK at best the price is VERY GOOD but the service is HORRENDOUS, the least they can do is thank you for purchasing their products. Posted on October 31, 2002 |

★★★★★ This is a phenomenal place. Excellent price for wonderful shawarmas. Its a nice small place...nothing fancy, but they do have tables for you to have your meal. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Toronto. Posted on September 20, 2002 |

★★★★★ Mmmm... shawarma. Best prices, great service. Go there. Now. Posted on June 13, 2002 |

★★★★★ "For those of us who have had the pleasure of having authentic Middle Eastern food while actually living in the Middle East, the fare offered in Toronto is a far cry from the original. However, Farhat's has accomplished a task many have set out to do yet close to none have come close. This is a restaurant that offers fantastic Shawarmas and falafels, but the real treat is the Sheesh Tawouk and the Kaftas. If you like Middle Eastern food, look no further - head to Lawrence/Warden and you will not be dissapointed." Posted on December 4, 2001 |
★★★★★ For sure Farhat's made the best shawarma I ever had in my life. In particular the beef one. Mmmmmm... Posted on October 20, 2001 |
