PakiPino is a portmanteau for Pakistani and Filipino. Growing up biracial, I always thought it was cool to move between the Pakistani, Filipino, and American cultures. It definitely was a privilege however challenging it can be at times. All three cultures have given me many amazing experiences that have defined my identity as an individual. One of my favorite ones to focus on is food. Food brings people together! In Pakistani and Filipino culture there is no gathering without the serving of delicious food. Well-made food has lasting effects on how we remember our experiences of life. I recall being asked as a Kindergartener, " Zach, please share with us your nationality?" I stated proudly that I was, " Lumpia and Naan." My mother thought it was hilarious! I later asked her what, "nationality" actually means and why it mattered so much. Later in my life, I had this idea of merging the cultural foods I was exposed to growing-up and starting my own business. Pakipino Foods are gourmet halal lumpias ( Filipino Eggrolls ) made with lots of love and support many local organic vegetables vendors. Pakipino foods does not keep lumpias frozen for more than 1 week. We work very hard to deliver to you fresh lumpias so that you can taste every bit of the flavor of meat, vegetables, and spices. We are a locally based business and hand-roll every lumpia that we sell to our customers. Added on September 14, 2016 and last updated 7 years ago
A NOTE ABOUT THE HALAL STATUS OF PAKIPINO FOODS
This restaurant is listed as sourcing some/all of its meat from a known supplier of Halal meat. This means that the management or employees of this restaurant may not be aware of their own halal status if asked. However, they may be able to confirm their meat supplier, in which case you can proceed if you feel comfortable eating there. Feel free to click on the name of the supplier and/or certifier listed in the Halal summary to learn more about their Halal procedures. Even if you do decide to eat here, we recommend you politely ask that they clean their grill and ensure no contact with non-Halal meat or alcohol.
